The food served is American/Mexican breakfast, which I love. The prices are great and the portions are huge! The kids love coming here because you can watch all the planes fly out. I would recommend sitting outside to get a better view of the planes. There's a roof over the patio area so it's not too hot out there! It gets pretty crowded so come early if you don't like waiting. I was here around 9:30 am and took one of the last few seats. Food does take awhile to come, think I waited about 25 minutes. I tried out these two items. Chuckwagon Steak - Asked for medium rare and probably came somewhere between medium rare and medium but I mean the steak piece was cut pretty thin. Came with a type of bread which I picked biscuits and gravy. I enjoyed it and for $15.99 it was not bad at all! (4/5) French toast, two eggs, two bacon, and two sausage - Pretty much the whole shabang and only $11.99. Everything tasted pretty good and felt like this was pretty value. It's very busy on the weekend so be ready for a small wait. Their outside seating is awesome because you can see the planes and helicopters fly in and out. The host and servers are super friendly and attentive. The emu has plenty to choose from for the picky eater who needs options. The restroom is in the lobby and has a changing table for your littles. We came here on whim hoping our toddler would appreciate the outside view, but we were pleased that the staff was able to graciously accommodate us with 2 babies under 2. Service was great, our server was very attentive and able to provide us with some recommendations. The food was good and the portions size was extremely generous (we could have shared). I ordered the Chile verde plate with potatoes and beans, so good! My son loved his Mickey Mouse pancakes. They also keep your coffee mug hot and full, thank you! Been here before but today I wasn't impressed. We ordered the menudo came out cold, had to get it reheated. We then had to wait 45-60 min to get our food once we ordered. Another table was complaining about the time they had little kids with them. The waiter told them there was a party of 15 ahead of them and their food was next, it's Sunday you'd think they would be prepared for this. We patiently waited for our food to come and when it did we were disappointed. I had the ribeye steak, eggs with fries sad to say the fries cold, steak was rushed, done on the outside uncooked in the inside. Visited Annia's Kitchen on a weekday morning to enjoy brunch while watching the airplanes and helicopters, and it was great! It was quite busy inside and out but it was a gorgeous morning to watch the air crafts. Our server was incredibly friendly and ensured that we were attended to, especially with an infant. FOOD - I ordered the French Toast and the Chilaquiles and both were underwhelming and pretty bland. The French Toast was very simple and lacked flavor. The Chilaquiles was basically a soggy tortilla under chunky sauce and an egg. More like Heuvos Rancheros but I didn't like it too much. When I found out there's a vintage planes/autos display at the airport on every fourth Sunday of the month, I knew I had to bring BF here. And it's apparently common to spend Sunday brunch here at Annia's either before or after you browse the display and watch planes take off and land while you feast on breakfast. We didn't know what time the display was, so when we arrived at 1 pm and saw no vintage planes or cars on display, we knew we must have missed it. However, we were still hungry, so we dined in at Annia's. The patio seating was all full so we sat at one of the booths closer to the kitchen. They serve breakfast all day as well as Mexican fare, so I ordered the French toast, which came in six halves ($6.99), and BF got the breakfast burrito ($10.99). Food was good, 3 stars good. One thing I saw that made me wince was that I had a view of the kitchen from my seat and saw our plates come up from the stove. They used a cleaning cloth to wipe the edges of our plates (so that it's clean presentation-wise) and the cloth did touch our food. Unsure how clean the cloth was since it was sitting there on their counters, but since BF and I didn't taste anything weird during our meal and didn't feel like our stomachs were turning, I didn't bother saying anything. But seeing it did give me slight anxiety. Other than that, service was good. They checked in with us several times to see if we needed anything. Since they were still a little busy, we paid at the register after we were done so we could head out to the outdoor area of the airport to watch the planes. read more

I finally tried this place on a busy Sunday to get a fair read. The setting is great--watching small planes take off delighted my granddaughter. The food was tasty (cheese quesadilla, two scrambled eggs, bacon, and orange juice). We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, then another 30 after ordering. Our server checked on us only once; I couldn't get a drink refill and had to go to the counter to pay. With service like that and a $51 tab for my order, it's not worth it. (also confused why it was so cold out and nobody turned on the heaters that were on the patio??) the wait staff wears shirts that say their food is not canned and thank you for your patience, so maybe slow food service is common here. the food was mediocre but reasonably priced, the portions are large, wait staff was really friendly and you get a great view of planes but I definitely think the wait was a bit too long for the food. read more

I've enjoyed Annia's Kitchen for many years. They are often busy on weekend mornings but during the week I've never had to wait. My favorite is to sit on the patio (they have heaters when it's chilly) and watch the planes taking off and landing. Their offerings are traditional American diner and some Mexican. If I'm in the mood for breakfast I like their pancakes, and at lunchtime their burgers and sandwiches are good choices. Today I had the Santa Fe Melt with half fries and onion rings. The grilled chicken sandwich on grilled sourdough was tasty and melty and the grilled Ortega chili peppers add a nice southwestern zing. Both the shoestring-style fries and the rings were freshly fried and not greasy. Some lettuce and pickles and a small cup of ranch were served alongside. read more
