This is one of the most friendly and welcoming businesses in central Florida, and I absolutely adore them for it. This place is counter order with full table service. I believe before the pandemic that you self served drinks, but the full service change has definitely been for the better. They've got a rotating list of specials that you can see on their instagram too. This place always delivers quality food. Their fried chicken is excellent, I've never seen an overcooked egg, their grits are amazing, their gravies are perfect, their biscuits are to die for, and their Mac n cheese is creamy delicious goodness. I haven't tried their lunch menu myself because I can't bring myself to not order breakfast. Between the Minnie pearl, three little pigs, seventh trimester, their specials, and even their sausage sandwich, nothing on a lunch menu could ever tempt me away. And don't even get me started on their bakery! Their bakery is a separate counter with cakes, cookies, handpies, brownies, and whoopie pies. Their selection is rotating and I've genuinely never been disappointed. Usually I have to take their stuff to go because I'm so full from breakfast, and it's usually pretty rich. This place is an Orlando staple and I hope they're open and successful for as long as they wish to be. I know I'll be back as long as they're still cooking.

Our Peach Bellini's tasted great and for our entree we ordered the Short Rib Benedict with a side on Pancakes with fresh Fruit. I bought a friend from New York who was visiting and she loved it. She requested if they could make her a Chunky Chicken Salad sandwich, rather than the salad on the menu. They obliged and even gave her a Bleu Cheese Caesar salad on the side. Briarpatch knows how to impress as well as cater to the needs of the customer! I ordered one of my favorites, the Brown Rice Bowl and it was fresh and more than filling for lunch. Various flavored mimosas were enjoyed also. I went again last week with local friends as all three of us enjoy this place (and its mimosas!!) One friend tried the Chunky Chicken Salad on the menu (seasonal fruits and berries with zucchini bread sandwiches) and commented on the presentation (which Briarpatch is also well known for) and the freshness of the fruit. She especially enjoyed the zucchini sandwiches! Her husband ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich as it is one of his favorites on the menu. He devoured every bite of it and was very pleased with the tenderness of the beef and the flavor of the au jus. I ordered the Short Rib Benedict as I eyed it a few weeks back. It did not disappoint! Plenty of shredded, perfectly cooked short rib was on a bed of crispy hash browns. Two poached eggs covered in hollandaise sauce sat nicely on top of this amazing dish. It was heaven! Based on the above, I trust you can understand why I love this place. Outdoor seating, exemplary service each and every time I visit and food that is picture-perfect and tastes outstanding. What more could you ask for?! I highly recommend the Briarpatch!

Two Words . . VERY…read moreRICH I keep forgetting that this restaurant is essentially serving Southern style comfort food in an upscale setting. Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

Looking around, it seems like this was the spot in downtown Baldwin for an early coffee due to many other shops not being opened yet. The crowd was middle aged individuals catching up on the news and enjoying the casual laid back vibes. The cappuccino was delicious. It was perfect for the chilly morning it was and went down smooth. The hot chocolate had a nice richness to the chocolate. The chocolate croissant was perfectly flaky so you know it was fresh. The breakfast sandwich had 2 huge eggs on it which made it very filling. The inside was cute and had a seating area that replicated that of the show "Friends" along with lots of coffee decor.

The soft scramble is perfection though to me and I'm usually never one that goes for scrambled eggs in a sandwich. They're so rich and creamy and the sauce they use is mouth watering. The buns are perfectly crispy on the inside but soft on the outside. Cheese is a nice addition too. I'm vegetarian so I don't eat the meat option ones but they all look so good. The staff is always super chill and gives extra sauces to me if I ask. Would love a veggie meat option like impossible sausage or something. Or maybe even mushrooms or a hash brown in the sandwich. I ordered the scrambled which is English muffin with scrambled eggs, green onions, cheddar cheese, and I put the sauce on the side. I also ordered home fries and a fresh cup of orange juice. The sandwich was really good however, the eggs were a little watery. The home fries were perfect and flavorful. The orange juice was the freshest orange juice! none of that artificial stuff. This was a great place to grab breakfast quick and go or if you have some extra time just to hang out side and enjoy your breakfast . They also offer coffee. I would just suggest maybe cooking eggs a little bit longer so they're not runny but otherwise everything was flavorful and a great breakfast. Cheers
