I thought I had confused it with the regular dentist so I called them. They also said that she did not have an appointment. At this point I was confused so I called back and the admin was able to confirm that she had an appointment. I told her we would be late and she said that we only had until 3:20 to get there. At this time traffic is terrible in Annapolis since all of the schools are getting out and many off work. We arrived at 3:22 and the admin refused to allow my daughter to attend the appointment. She waved her arm at the waiting room and pointed out that there were 6 more patients in line. She made no offer to book the next appointment or check to see if there was any way that my daughter could be seen. I would have thought that after 2 kids and paying over $10,000 in treatment I could have a little bit of courtsey. When we first started it was a very personalble practice. Now it is nothing more than an impersonal assembly line that will not even allow 2 minutes past a grace period. If we were not so close to finishing her treatment I would pull her out. I have another daughter that will need braces and I intend to find another practice and I recommend that anyone else do the same. Also I recommend that the admin undergo some training in how to deal with the public.

My appointment was for 4:30 to recieve my second set of retainers. I left work at 3:40 but, due to traffic, saw that I would not arrive until 4:35. I called immediately, but was told I could not come anymore. They informed me that I was the last appointment, therefore they had to begin to clean their offices. I was confused as to why they needed to cancel my appointment if they do not close until 5 and why they had to begin cleaning... Mind you, my previous appointment to get my first set took no longer than 20 minutes. I could totally understand if I was not going to make the appoint until much closer to 5. This was very inconvienient as it is delaying my treatment time, and also seemed very odd for a business to do.

I was prepared to accept a lower standard of perfection because of the low price. I was wrong! The doctor (Todd) is a perfectionist who has repeatedly prolonged the treatment to get that last 1% alignment and make the teeth perfect. He could have signed us out more than a year ago, but he continues to pursue perfection and has not changed the price. Unbelievable. I wish we had known about this place when our older children got standard braces -- because their teeth don't look nearly as good.
