This practice has gone downhill over the years. Especially the last few months. The receptionists are rude, the dentists are rushed, the hygienists are temps that come and go. The worst are the receptionists. Why can't they keep regular hygienists? Red Flag. I'm happy to make business elsewhere. I would not recommend this practice. I had been going for several years without issue until I got a filling and a bill over $500 for charges that I was not made aware of and could not be submitted to insurance. When I raised the issue, I was told I'd need to speak with the office manager, Holly. This is where the terrible customer service came in. She argued with me and called me a liar (that I was not told of the charges). In the end, they did realize it was their error and that I was supposed to get some sort of consent form for the process and following charges but that never happened. I ended up escalating to the dentist and they did refund me. However, Holly then cancelled my appt 6 months later on the day of the appointment and I was cancelled as a client. This all just seems so petty and she was actually horrible to deal with. If this is the representative of their offices, that's a really bad look. I would never recommend this practice as long as she is there. read more

My family went in for a routine cleaning--three of us ended up having cavities. After having them filled, my brother and mother had to go back after their fills due to pain (3 visits total). I cannot speak of their fill nor follow up appointments, but my experience at this practice (specifically for my cavity fill) was awful. The dentist and assistant had a full, casual conversation over my open mouth, leaving me to feel as less than a priority during my procedure. Then, when it came to "correcting my bite" I immediately knew/felt more drilling was done than necessary. Three of my teeth has been shaved until they felt completely smoothed out (i.e, no ridges) and as soon as the numbing solution wore off, those teeth were highly sensitive and the pain has been prominent. Additionally, the spaces between each tooth are extremely sharp. I have yet to go back because I do not feel the care provided by this practice is adequate (as 3/4 member of my family have had severe tooth pain following what should have been standard cavity-fill procedures). Due to my apprehension, it is now a few weeks later, the pain has not subsided, and my tooth is now loose. I will be booking an emergency appointment with a different practice, and I would not recommend this one to anyone I care about. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS AWFUL QUACK. So many things to find fault with this operation, the worst being their blatant incompetence. If you want your healthy teeth all screwed up, by all means have these idiots work on them. They made me wait 6 weeks for a permanent crown while temporary crown was causing me non-stop pain w/ nothing but excuses. When permanent crown finally arrived the dentist remarks that is the wrong size and "why do they do this?" but proceeds to put it in anyway! Needless to say there are multiple problems with the permanent none of which are ever fixed at this place... went to a different dentist who fixed everything in 3 minutes. Even worse is how Green Dental pretends to be a holistic dentist, but when removing the mercury fillings the process is a total joke to them with many cut corners and incompetence where mercury is clearly spilling into your system. She has posted tons of obvious fake positive reviews on healthgrades.com which is a crime in and of itself. In process of filing a law suit against this place to have their licenses removed from causing further harm to anyone else! read more

Annapolis Green Dental is an amazing practice! They use all natural products, free of fluoride and toxins. The lobby has an array of free goodies such as sugar-free lollipops, coconut oil floss, and toothbrushes! I got a clean up and it was completed with product made of lemon & mint. I visited this dental office for a routine cleaning late last year. I called to make sure they take my insurance and the representative I spoke to put me on hold to find out, (which is fine) and returned to say they indeed took my insurance (her placing me on hold left me with a little less confidence in her answer, so I called back at a later date to double check and received the same response but I added that I wanted to make my cleaning wouldn't cost anything. They confirmed). So far so good. On the day of my appointment after my cleaning, I was told I had several cavities and they gave me a quote on how much it would cost to get them fixed. That's fine, I'll make arrangements to get them fixed at a later time. I left there thinking I didn't owe anything only to receive a bill in the mail for X-rays and cleaning. Really? I decided to go to a new dentist just recently and found out I have no cavities after all. I liked the dentist just fine at this Annapolis Green Dental, she was nice and sweet. But that does not account for the bill I received when I was told I was fine and would owe nothing and saying I have cavities when, in fact, I don't. I'm not saying don't use this dentist office but definitely call your own insurance to check for yourself and never take anyone else words for it and if anyone tells you, you have cavities, get a second opinion unless you actually feel pain (or maybe even then too!) -1 star for the billing, -2 stars for saying I have cavities when I don't (I do not appreciate dishonesty!) +1 ease of parking, +1 cleanliness and it was easy to set an appointment. read more

We are a military family, so we have visited quite a few dental offices throughout the years. Dr. Nasir has to be the worst dentist I have ever encountered. Unprofessional and terrible bed side manager. I do not recommend if you are looking for excellent care. They even called after I left the office telling me they were wrong but didn't even apologize. I called to make an emergency appointment and they squeezed me right in. Their customer service is very refreshing and not found often. Once I arrived, every single dental assist, front desk, etc. genuinely greeted me and while I was waiting to be seen, whoever walked by, made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. The decor is very comforting, I loved the fact that I did not feel as if I was at a dental office/doctors office, it was very well decorated. It was very clean as well! I am such a nervous person when it comes to the dentist considering all my awful experiences, however, I can truly say they completely changed my outlook. They were quick and discussed with me my options instead of giving me the most expensive resolution. We had a very bad experience here with having baby teeth removed as per recommendations from our orthodontist. I've taken both my own kids and now my grandkids for dental work. My grandson, who is 12, has been having regular dental appointments since he was young with no fear or anxiety. For this procedure the dentist's "bedside manor' was so poor my grandson refused treatment. She showed him the large novacaine needle and told him it was going to sting and she would have to do it three times. After the first shot being painful, he was moving during the second shot and she must not have gotten the full dose in. She then proceeded to extract a tooth when he was not numb, making him cry out. Her methods for persuading him to cooperate where to tell him it hurts her feelings when people don't like their dentist, making it all about herself which was not effective to guilt him into treatment so as not to hurt her feelings. Meanwhile I take his younger sister to a pediatric dentist because of her anxiety, who recently removed two teeth without any problems. This is not a pediatric specialist and they are not good working with children so we will be switching dentists. On another note, they previously recommended a 'holistic' dental appliance that would be more effective than braces, not covered by insurance, and we spent over $300 out of pocket on something that did not work. Upon doing research, the myobrace product is only recommended for young children, and has dubious results that can be based on compliance. The brace was uncomfortable and cut into my grandson's lips, so he didn't want to wear it the required amount of time and the office did not provide support, adjustments, or education about the device. On a positive note, the hygenist we had did a very good job. read more

Dr. Gena and her assisting staff were very thorough and very patient with me. They worked with my anxiety with the dental work and made sure I was comfortable. Now dealing with the front desk and getting past Dave's attitude is a challenge. Between his belittling comments regarding my anxiety and medicine needed for the appointment and an explanation of my bill, I would suggest the office again to train him on professionalism and HIPPA. I have complained now twice and it has not been corrected . Had my insurance company contact them and they even responded how rude he was and offered to send me a list of other senators in my area. I will now be finding a new dentist which will respect me and explain my bill in a professional manner. read more

First I would like to say this office is beautiful! The staff is all so friendly and inviting. I have terrible anxiety at dentists, but here I had no worries. They use essential oils for a calming environment and eco friendly products. I went for a cleaning, and Dr. Gena Schultheis was simply amazing. So gentle and quick. They are so good at getting it right! They are busy, busier than most practices on some days. I think it's mostly because a lot of people want appointments after work, school, etc. I've never waited more than just a few minutes, sometimes not at all. Dental service was average. What concerned me more was when they said they would follow up regarding an issue, never did, and then when I called they did not acknowledge me as a patient and said they were no longer accepting my insurance. Poor customer service. read more

Do not go to this practice. I had a crown replaced by Dr. Graham, and she was unfamiliar with the set up of the exam room and could not find the proper tools to remove my crown. It appeared to be her first day on the job since she did not appear to be knowledgeable with how to use the equipment in the exam room. After numerous attempts to remove my crown, she asked the assistant for the crown splitter, which could not be located in the exam room. This launched the assistant into a furious search for the crown splitter in the two other exam rooms. The crown splitter was never found and without the proper equipment, the removal of the crown was extremely frightening and painful, and resulted in a cracked tooth. Throughout the entire procedure, Dr. Graham seemed very rushed and distracted. She also had lots of side conversations with assistant regarding work schedules and other topics, which was completely unprofessional. After the visit, I received a follow up survey from the practice via email, and I noted in the survey about my horrible experience. I also said the crown does not fit correctly, and I asked for someone to follow up with me. No one ever followed up with me. Save yourself money, time and your teeth. Go elsewhere. read more

If you're looking for truly holistic dental care you need to search for a biological dentist and don't waste your time and money at this place. Despite their claims of offering alternative holistic treatments like ozone and remineralization none of these things were mentioned at my appointment at all. They also claim online that they do pediatric dentistry - I knew my daughter had a cavity so I brought her in (informing them prior of the reason why) and was only just referred to a pediatric dentist. I wouldn't have wasted my money on that appointment if I had been told from the beginning they in fact did not do pediatric dentistry. Then we had a billing issue where we were charged for a cleaning we never received - no mention of the charge at time of service, no bills, no statements, no phone calls - nothing about a balance until I called their office from my new dentists office (almost 2 months later!) wanting my X-rays. The representative was extremely nasty to me on the phone when I questioned the balance and his method of "informing me" - he told me "if you want to be like that then I'll just wait until the balance is paid until I send over these X-rays...." So I paid. He even tried to email me my daughters "chart" to prove the work was done - it was his billing statement and the date of the visit on the statement was incorrect. I don't know what happened but I would never ever return to this place and I will tell everyone I know to stay far far away! Again, "biological dentist" is what you'll want to search for if you're looking for a real holistic dentist. Oh, and be prepared to be talked down too if you use any of their coupons or promotional deals like this one on Yelp. read more

I'm new to the area and chose this dentist because they approach your care from a natural perspective. All went well until there was a discrepancy between what they charged me and what my insurance company said I should have paid out of pocket. When I contacted the office staff regarding the discrepancy, they kept claiming that my insurance company had not paid them (up until almost 2 months after service) when my insurance company had a record of paying them two days after service. Then I was told that payments posted at the end of every month and I'd receive a refund when the payment posted at that time - no refund. I had to contact my insurance company who then had to call them and fax over proof that they'd paid them again. When I called to follow up regarding when I'd get a refund, I was told I needed to call them back next week because they only gave refunds on Tuesdays. The administrative team made no effort whatsoever to help rectify the situation and they seemed annoyed that I was calling to request money back that they'd overcharged. The dental services provided were okay, but the way the handled the situation left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more
