Make sure to go to this business if you want to: 1. Lose that shirt you really don't like. 2. Get a new outfit for free. I've been there twice. Both times I lost clothes. But they -- I'm assuming unknowingly -- gave me someone else's clothes to make up for it. When I asked them about it, they did the equivalent of copping an insanity plea. read more

Lost my laundry (2 shirts), claimed they made a mistake when they clearly listed it in the receipt. Made me sue them in small claims court to get any response (I was willing to settle for a credit against future dry cleaning!) read more

Be careful of Ann Cleaner - they lost and won't repay... After taking a brand new blouse that I wore only once to the dry cleaner, they lost it. Although the owner admitted to losing it, he still has not compensated me for his mistake. The dry cleaner is: Ann Cleaner, located in Newtonville MA, and Wellesley, MA, and owned by Livon Tanakejian of 10 Fessenden Rd, Arlington, MA, After contacting the owner, he stated that he "would look into it and get back to me". Unfortunately he never did. After 4 discussions that we initiated, he still will not pay us for the blouse. I am now opening a small claims suit against them. I have receipts that show the purchase amount, the receipt from Ann Cleaner, and even recordings of the conversations where the owner admits to losing the shirt. read more

I gave Ann a try after being recommended by a local. First Visit: 2.5 Stars - 1 coat altered, perfect, but would have been nice to dry clean the coat after the alteration. - Shirts & Pants laundered - one shirt needed to be laundered again due to a stain they missed (it was indicated during the drop-off). Otherwise, OK. Second Visit: 0.0 Stars (negative if possible) - Dropped off a sport coat to have a button fixed. To my surprise, when I picked it up they had not fixed the button because they were confused as to what was needed. OK, that is fine...BUT...why not call to ask? - Shirt (among several) was suppose to be laundered. To my surprise, they appeared to rip the shirt and it looks like they tried to sew it back together. It is comical actually and if I could upload the picture, I would. I guess I should have learned my lesson after the first so-so experience. read more

I walked in as I work in the plaza and wanted to see if I could get a comforter dry cleaned as it was a hand me down from my mom but she had pets and I'm allergic. The seamstress was super rude. I placed the bag on the counter and she was like what's that? Then she originally told me the price was $35 and that if I did the sheets too it would be an additional $20 and additional $14 for two pillowcases. Before I even had a chance to think she tells me she needs to double check the computer for the prices only for her to move the order she was already working on to the other side of the counter bypassing the computer without touching it. She then tells me it's about $100 for everything and I said how? That's $69 total if I decide to do everything. She was like oh no the comforter is $40, sheets are $20 each and pillow $14 each. How does walking across the room increase the price? P.S. I got the king size comforter, two sheets and three pillowcases dry cleaned at another place prior for $46 total read more

My white blazer was dry-cleaned here and returned to me w light blue chemical spots, so they re-cleaned it , but only after the elderly lady working questioned me and denied their culpability. I stopped bringing my clothing here but continued to bring my husband's shirts to be laundered. When 2 of his shirts returned with blue spots, I decided to find another cleaner. read more

Good experience with alterations, and good price. Dress shortened, new zipper in pants. Convenient location. Friendly service.

I would give zero stars if I could - besides calling me names, she held my dress hostage until making me pay $75 and it still doesn't fit. I now have to bring it somewhere else where they can fix this mess for the wedding this weekend. DO NOT USE THIS TAILOR. read more

SHAME ON YOU! Shame on you for taking advantage of people who come to you for help with their treasured clothing and you ruin them. Not only do you destroy clothing, but you then have the audacity to demand payment, in CASH no less, and refuse to return the clothing item until you receive payment!! PAYMENT?????? For what? You should hang your head low in embarrassment and disgust. You truly are not good at what you do and have a miserable attitude. DON'T, I repeat DON'T do business here. Minus zero stars for you. read more

Can I also give a NEGATIVE 5 star rating? Please do not ever use this establishment for any reason. "Tailoring" has ruined my items and the "staff" - a confused, angry, unprofessional, distracted old lady - can do nothing but scream excuses and try to back-pedal. It is an untrustworthy company that needs to be put out of business ASAP. There is no need for such an overall terrible company to continue to steal money from people for poor service - or extremely substandard service. I wish I had time to sue them. I have never been to angry or frustrated by another place in all my years doing business in the area. read more

General Public - Please, please, if you value your money, your time or your clothing, DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY BUSINESS. They lost an expensive jacket, then told me to "check my closet for it." The prior reviews are consistent with the dishonest behavior of this place. read more

I am giving 4/5 because I did not actually take anything in to be cleaned. I got a dress shortened for a wedding and it looks amazing, for a good price too! The dress I brought in had some grease stains from the manufacturer (can you believe that!?) and Ann told me it was not worth it to pay for dry cleaning since I am only wearing the dress one day. Low and behold I picked up my dress with the spots gone! I am so grateful! Very friendly people, I will definitely be visiting again. read more

Oh My Gosh! I thought I was the only one that had these issues. First, they stained my white pants and ruined them and then they "lost" my brand new jeans that I brought in to be hemmed! I had to bring the owner to Small Claims Court to get my money back for the jeans and I won. This place should not be in business....seriously. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before trusting this place with my clothes. Item #1: expensive black cocktail dress in for dry cleaning. Returned to me minus the sash and with the hem completely fallen down. They claimed they never saw the sash (pure lie-- it was absolutely on the dress when I brought it in, threaded on a few loops in the waist) and that the hem must have been already down when they got it (another lie, as it was in perfect condition, albeit in need of cleaning, when it was brought in). Item #2: dress brought in to have hem shortened. They butchered the hem: it was completely uneven, and in some spots even shorter than the lining which hung below. The gauzy fabric was rolled unevenly to make a hem, and the stitches were all over the place. I told them I didn't think I should have to pay for it, as I now had to bring it to another tailor to fix it. They refused to let me take it with me without paying and said they had to speak with the tailor directly. I'm happy to say that I persisted, called back later, and was able to get my dress back (without paying). The guy rolled his eyes and gave me major attitude when I came back the second time to get it, clearly implying that I was unreasonable and crazy. I now have to hope that another tailor can salvage it, and that it won't end up being too short as it has to be shortened another two inches or so to fix the butchered hem. How can this place still be in business? Absolutely incompetent and absolutely unprofessional. read more
