I'm convinced these are the best cleaners in the region. A caveat: I'm a male and really only clean dress shirts/pants. I have no experience with gowns and dresses, but with that said, they do what dry cleaners are supposed to do: get your clothes clean, and they do it on time and courteously. They have never been late in their appointments, and I've never had any random spots/wrinkles appear on my dress shirts (which I hear happens to some people). Today was my first time getting a $600 Allsaints wool coat cleaned. It apparently turned out to be a tricky deal, since the collar had leather trim and could potentially be ruined by dry cleaning chemicals, something that the woman working here noted. (I had never heard of this, but I've also never taken anything leather to the cleaners before). She waited and advised as I called up the customer service line for Allsaints, who surprisingly didn't know the care details of the leather trim. The woman (I don't know her name, but from the other reviews it sounds like it's Linda) told me that to be absolutely safe, they could send it to leather cleaners, but the turnaround time was a full week. We both decided that they would go ahead with a conservative cycle and a manual dry-clean with only that coat itself in the machine, personally watched over by... her husband? The owner? The only other male that I see in the store, that guy. 24 hours later (love that turnaround time), I have myself a clean, undamaged wool coat. I'm a happy camper. read more

I was in town for a weekend, and my clothes needed to be rescued from the city grime for the holidays. The owners were overwhelmingly courteous and prompt, and my clothes came back saved. So fresh and so clean clean! I ought to use the dc more often, but I can never bring myself to go. However, prices here pretty fair if not vastly better than what I might pay in the city, so I was decided it was time. Definitely, found my place for whenever I make it back to the burbs. read more

My father-in-law passed away on Sunday afternoon. I dropped of my husband's suits on Monday morning. I went back Monday afternoon with my sons' newly purchased suits which I had bought that day. My oldest son needed his pants altered. The wake was held on Tuesday evening. I picked up all of the suits (and dress shirts) on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Fantastic service. FYI the cleaners will usually let you know if your clothes are already ruined and cannot be fixed (stains and rips) IF they spot it. It's never their job to patch up all your clothes and make it look new IF YOU NEVER ASKED FOR THAT SERVICE UP FRONT and honestly, that's not even possible. Sorry, have to tie up the beast that just came out of me. Tends to happen when I read reviews that lack all common sense. Judging by how their wall is laden with awards, I'm not surprised that the service is absolutely exceptional whenever I've gotten my clothes cleaned here. Always on time. Always clean. Ah, the dry cleaners, good times. I didn't realize how damn expensive they were out in the burbs. In Southie, we'd bring in 3/4 of our closet, and pay about $45 for all of it. Not anymore. The dry cleaners has become a luxury. Which sucks, considering most of our work clothes are dry clean only. And I refuse to become a wash-n-wear girl. Overall, the service here is prompt and courteous, and they haven't lost anything of ours yet. I just wish they'd lower the prices... read more

I think this place has been here forever. Looks like a mom and pop shop but it's done right. The work is thorough. Prices are fair and I think they have a tailor on site. I asked if the work is done on site or farmed out and they let me see their machines. I'm big on supporting local businesses and it's great to see one that is run well and takes pride in their work. My shirt and jackets were clean and pressed and they got the stained off my lapel without issue. I guess everything you'd expect from a dry cleaner... I wouldn't eat dinner here though. I mean who goes to a dry cleaner for dinner? So if you're looking dinner look elsewhere. If you want to remove dinner stains then this place probably does the trick. read more

Cleaner's Choice & Tailor has always been great... always greeted with a smile and always get great results on our family's dry-cleaning. I recently purchased a dress online for a wedding. When I called to make an appointment for an alteration, they were able to fit me into their already-jammed Saturday alteration schedule. This was not an easy alteration due to the material and shape of the hem on my new dress. I really didn't think that I was going to be able to get it altered in the time before the wedding (I was leaving to travel for the wedding just 3 days after my alteration session!), but Linda managed to make it happen. I was so thankful and appreciative of their hard work and amazing customer service. She even went the extra mile to teach me how to tie a proper bow. :) read more

Cleaners Choice in Ashland does an excellent job with my clothes. Dry cleaning, shirts and general laundering are all at reasonable prices. They will turn around on the same day if necessary. On top of that, Linda designs, manufactures and sells handbags. Got one as a gift for my wife. It has held up well, and is one of a kind. No one else has the same bag. read more

Have been going here for years. This is a family business and they have always been nice, reliable and accommodating. I never understand when people complain about clothes that dont get completely cleaned and blame the cleaner. Theres never a guarantee and at least these guys give it their best. They also tell me when the stain is unlikely to be removed or if something is ripped and I didnt notice. read more

I have been going here for over a year. I never had a bad experience until recently. The woman who works at the store has never been nice or friendly, but is more often than not, rude. The man has been generally agreeable and helpful. I believe she is rubbing off on him and training him to be rude and argumentative. He recently made false accusations about the condition of my item brought into the store and blamed me for the lack of cleaning performed by him for that item. Making false accusations of a customer who comes in 1-2 times per week, doesn't make them want to come back. It was highly unprofessional and rude. Needless to say there are many DC's in the area and my business will be going elsewhere. read more

I had never had a problem with them, not that they were special, only adequate, until I had the misfortune of meeting the taylor. She returned the dress to me without doing the job I had asked for (and she was charging me for). When I pointed out to her the area I had wanted mended, which was untouched, she had a complete melt down, claimed it was because I had left the dress with them for too long and I must have forgotten what I had asked them for, that I was insulting her professionalism, etc. I *had* left the dress for too long, yes, I know they are no longer responsible for your clothes after 1 month. It would have been fine if they said they lost it or whatever. But they still can't charge me for a job they didn't do. I did remember what I had asked for, and she could not point out what she *had* done that she was charging for. In the end she just threw my money back at me. It was just really rude, awful, and very unprofessional. I can't recall ever being treated like that by another business owner, or anyone else for that matter.
