I'm convinced these are the best cleaners in the region…read more A caveat: I'm a male and really only clean dress shirts/pants. I have no experience with gowns and dresses, but with that said, they do what dry cleaners are supposed to do: get your clothes clean, and they do it on time and courteously. They have never been late in their appointments, and I've never had any random spots/wrinkles appear on my dress shirts (which I hear happens to some people). Today was my first time getting a $600 Allsaints wool coat cleaned. It apparently turned out to be a tricky deal, since the collar had leather trim and could potentially be ruined by dry cleaning chemicals, something that the woman working here noted. (I had never heard of this, but I've also never taken anything leather to the cleaners before). She waited and advised as I called up the customer service line for Allsaints, who surprisingly didn't know the care details of the leather trim. The woman (I don't know her name, but from the other reviews it sounds like it's Linda) told me that to be absolutely safe, they could send it to leather cleaners, but the turnaround time was a full week. We both decided that they would go ahead with a conservative cycle and a manual dry-clean with only that coat itself in the machine, personally watched over by... her husband? The owner? The only other male that I see in the store, that guy. 24 hours later (love that turnaround time), I have myself a clean, undamaged wool coat. I'm a happy camper.

Then he really wanted to dump the sand in his shoes so he sat in front of the shop and took off his shoes. A lady came out and told us to leave, one I shouldn't park there, two I shouldn't let my kid take off his shoes, she said it was "affecting her business". I absolutely understand and I know how hard it is for small businesses so I said sorry and was about to leave. But I had to grab my kids shoes and put them on! And she came out again like I was a homeless person and asked me whether I was Chinese. I said yes and she said you Chinese people are just hard to deal with. I was absolutely furious that my kid had to witness all this shit and I was again trying to leave and there she went "I'm calling the police". Really, good for you. I was waiting for the police the come but no one showed up. I was willing to talk with the police anytime about your discriminatory speech and condescending behaviors. Please be kind to people. I cannot imagine if I was really a homeless looking for help. Be kind to kids, please. My first time leaving a one star review, only for this lady.

On numerous occasions found my shirts after dry cleaned to still be semi wrinkle. I never said…read moreanything because I usually iron them. But yesterday on Thursday picked up my three pants I had dry cleaned (mind you none of them discolored) and when I received them, one of my suit pants had weird pinkish discoloration. The lady was not the "boss" so I left them there for boss to look at, and this morning spoke to owner/boss, about discoloration and he told me it wasn't him or his common fault and they were "due to sweat (from me). I told him the discoloration was not there when I dropped off, and gave me look as it was (basically saying I'm lying). So refused to acknowledge damage and restoration. Obviously last time I do business with them, and I'm out of a suit!!! Disgraceful indeed. And I noticed he must of tried to do something to get out because you can see in picture I took, it appears to be a wet ring around pinkish area. Both legs have discoloration. He had to insult me on the material my pants were (polyester and wool mix) and that's why discoloration as well.

I've traveled extensively on both coasts mostly in major cities, and the one thing I miss most is…read morethe charm and feel of a small town. I happen to be visiting friends in Concord and had an event that I needed to attend. I really wanted to showcase a stellar outfit for this occasion, and I found this incredible dress at Copley at Neiman's... ALAS it was 2 sizes too big!! Since it was on sale I couldn't leave it at the store and bought it with the mission of bringing it to a magical tailor. My friend recommended Village Cleaners as the first stop- she raved to me about their services as my friend had her wedding dress cleaned and altered there. K.C. the owner of the shop is Korean (Koreans are the sweetest people ever!) and she's as honest as they come. She was asking me what the dress was for- clearly I loved it bc I bought it 2 sizes too big and offered great suggestions in how to fit the dress properly to my body shape. K.C. was good about being transparent with cost and timeline, and I truly felt liked she cared :) The whole fitting experience at Village Cleaners was beyond what I expected- you normally get that kind of attention and kindness if you're spending a lot of $$$$$ in places like L.A. and NYC and even then it's not quite authentic. Since my dress (which by the way received so many compliments), I have returned with my dry cleaning, and found equally great quality. I just wished I lived in Massachusetts so I could return more frequently to get this service! Sigh!
