Too much material taken off making the dress way too revealing, completely uneven hem along the bottom. Not only that, but they were so rude, wouldn't let her try on a couple different pairs of shoes to make final choice, and pushed her out after 30 minutes. I found Sienna after doing some research, and easily made an appointment for me and my friend the following week. Working with Sienna was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We were given all the time we needed (And we needed it! On one visit, I brought my friend 17 pairs of shoes to try on, no joke!), she listened to exactly what each of us wanted for our dress alterations, and she miraculously totally fixed the botch job the other tailor did. When we first went in, my friend was convinced she'd need to scramble to find a new wedding dress with just 30 days time, and after just a couple visits, she had a gorgeous dress that looked as though it was made just for her. My bridesmaids' dress came out great, too, as did a pair of jeans that needed hemming that I threw into the mix. I can't thank Sienna enough for her great work, patience, and professionalism. She knows exactly how to make each person feel beautiful through decades of experience. I recommend her to anyone needing help with fit & alterations, not only with a wedding dress but your every day clothes as well. Thank you so much, Sienna, for making my friend's wedding day!

Sadly just a few months before her wedding it was cancelled. My daughter was flying in for a scheduled fitting with Dao and on top of finishing her fitting properly with no rush to pick up her dress when completed, Dao gave her a discount as well as bestowing my daughter lovely, kind words of wisdom and encouragement and told her that she was meant for someone better and this cancellation was just the way to make room for it to happen . As a mom we don't expect anyone else to love and care for our kids like we do. This was such an unexpected blessing to a very difficult time. Dao is extraordinary tailor and human. Surprisingly, the appointments are not very long. The first appointment, I wore the dress and Dao immediately told me a list of things she needed to fix (things that I am clueless about so I cannot verify if true or not) and provides a quote/invoice. The second appointment is a double check. The final appointment was my longest one as I asked her to make a small tweak, which she did on the spot. I did notice that the dress felt more supportive and structured on the last visit due to the work she did (adding boning etc). She usually has one other associate working in the shop and together, they are extremely good at hyping you up as you try on the dress. Cost wise, my friend and I both spent about $1K each on our dresses. In summary, Dao is very confident in her skills and vision and it is clear she has a lot of experience in wedding dresses as her entire shop is lined with wedding dresses. PS. My friend looked STUNNING on her wedding day - the dress fit like a glove and was so flattering. She told me you can take the dress back after your appointments if you need more work. PPS. The item fit worse after tailoring because she didn't bother with the more challenging parts of the alteration. She just took in the sides without doing any work to refit the chest and straps. This made the top baggy...it looked worse that it did pre-alteration because the proportions were off. Unfriendly environment. She makes it clear that feedback is unappreciated and unwelcome.

I previously took it to another tailor who worked on it for months, but when she was finished I was not very impressed. The other tailor told me the things I wanted were not possible and she did not fit the body to my dress very well. BUT Roshan SAVED my wedding dress! She did exactly what I asked and exceeded my expectations. She's very kind and I felt very comfortable working with her. She caught mistakes and things the other tailor had missed or overlooked. AND she helped me pick out the right undergarments and accessories for my dress. Her prices are very reasonable (I paid more than twice as much for the first tailor who didn't even do a good job), her schedule is easy to work with, and she gets it done quickly. I would recommend House of Roshan to anyone and everyone. Thank you Roshan for saving my wedding!

She was very detailed, very calm and sweet to work with, and generally just put me at ease during the whole (X number of layer) process that took over an hour. Was I uncomfortable? Yes. But that's how this goes! Her office was clean and she played great music and chatted us up about everything and we felt right at home, my mother and myself. For a follow up, I needed to have my dress taken out a smidgen once I started to move around in it, and she did it in a snap - I actually had to work through the appointment we had and totally missed it, boo on me, so she made her best guess on what to change based on what my issue was, and I didn't even get to try it out! And lo and behold, everything FITS! I couldn't believe it. So thankful that she knows what she is doing and takes the time to understand her clients throughout this stressful process. Nearly every time I tried to explain what I wanted, point out an issue with the fit, or question something being done to my dress, I felt chastised or dismissed. Eventually, I felt uncomfortable even voicing my concerns. This woman simply does not listen, and that is the last thing you want when someone is altering one of the most important and expensive dresses you will ever wear. The timing was also unacceptable. I spent THREE afternoons with her during the week before/of my wedding trying to get the dress finished. It was cut so close that I ultimately had no choice but to take the dress as-is because I was leaving for my wedding venue the following morning. There was literally no time left to have the remaining issues corrected. After all of that, the dress was still noticeably too big around my waist and hips. Even worse, one of my straps fell down repeatedly throughout my entire wedding night. I had specifically raised concerns about the straps, and Anahit's solution was to use fashion tape. For bridal alterations at this price point, fashion tape should NEVER be the solution to a strap that does not fit properly. Looking back at some of the negative reviews after my experience, I was struck by how familiar the complaints felt, particularly around communication, feeling dismissed, and concerns with the finished alterations. I wish I had taken those reviews more seriously before booking. I paid a significant amount of money and trusted that after multiple fittings my wedding dress would actually fit me on my wedding day. Instead, I spent part of my wedding repeatedly pulling my strap back onto my shoulder while wearing a dress that was still visibly too large through my waist and hips. Wedding alterations are stressful enough without feeling like you have to argue to be heard about your own dress. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Anahit for bridal alterations.
