I had an unusual request. My husband recently had his foot and part of his calf amputated. His pant leg needs a zipper so he can open the pant leg from the bottom up. This gives him access to his prosthetic and makes it easier to get the pants on/off. I took the pants to Lee's Tailors and there were 2 women at the desk. I told them I needed a zipper in the pant leg and showed them where (inner seam). One of the women thought that was hysterically funny - not sure why. She laughed and laughed, and then went in the back. A bit disrespectful, but whatever. The other woman was nice and respectful, showed me what she would do and how much it would cost. The pants were ready 2 days later, and they're perfect. They collect payment up front, and give a ticket for picking up. They did a great job. read more

I came to Lee's Tailor for the first time as an adult after having my prom dress altered here as a teenager. I ordered a floor-length gown to wear to a wedding, which required hemming. I came in around 11 am on a weekday and was immediately greeted by the staff. The measurement process was quick and efficient. The staff had me pay up front and set a pick-up date, then I was on my way. I felt that the price was fair, especially having gotten similar alterations done at other tailors in the area. I told the team that I just needed the dress back within 3 weeks but they told me that it would be ready within 2-3 days! My dress was ready on the agreed-upon date and the hemming was well done on all layers. The hemming was excellent. However, when we went to pick up the dress, there was a circular-ish area on the back and a streak on the front of what looked to me like the marking chalk- I asked them if they could clean it. They took it in the back, but when the woman came back, she said I needed a dry cleaner. Annoying, but whatever. On closer inspection, it's a bleach stain. It was DEFINITELY not there when we brought it in- we were all examining the dress closely to figure out the hemming length. And she had to have understood what it was when she inspected it, so telling me to take it to the cleaners was disingenuous. Of course the dress was not cheap and the event is tonight and there is no time to find an alternative. My daughter is totally distraught. I don't know what I could have done at pickup if I realized what it really was- I guess demanded some kind of compensation? But that doesn't get me the dress back! I told her it's not that noticeable in a dark room for dancing, but I'm so sad for my daughter. I have liked Lee's Tailors for a while, but won't likely trust them with my clothing again. read more

Got home to find a hole in my new suit jacket and a dent in the colar - this was a brand new BOSS suit that is $700 - and they completely ruined it when adjusting the sleeves. Unacceptable. Seems work is being done in a rush with no attention to detail. read more

I have been using this tailor & dry cleaning shop for years. When I need an alteration done asap, I bring it to Lee's. They're located inside the mall next to Wegmans. If I bring in an item at 1pm,etc.. I could have it tailored within hours, that evening or at my convenience. This has been my experience, so please know timing may differ for everyone depend on the work load they may have. I used to enjoy coming here for all of my tailoring needs but recently the service has been subpar. More importantly the workmanship has been shoddy. My dress is now uneven. They've recently raised their prices and for what they're charging, they're not delivering so I do think it's a bit of a rip-off. I would encourage you to look elsewhere especially given you will get better quality for the same price. They've lost a couple things (ie belt) and didn't take any responsibility but that's not the issue. The issue is that their work is sloppy, rushed, and over-priced. You can do better. read more

I've gone to this location a couple of times over the years since it's nearby and conveniently located, but I think this might be my last trip there unfortunately. I brought in a suit and pants to be dry cleaned recently and it wasn't until it was too late that I noticed that two of the four buttons on one of my cuffs were missing afterwards. On the day I picked it up, my schedule was a bit hectic so I was running around a lot so it wasn't until a bit later that I noticed the button issue. One other thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that when I went to pick up my suit, I was only given the actual clothes and not the garment bag it came with. I asked if they could find it and after a few minutes of searching they found it crumpled on the floor. Overall, I'm all for supporting small businesses, but I just wasn't satisfied with this experience. Have gone to Lee's many times over the years. Brought in a suit to have pants and suit jacket altered that's been altered before. Upon pickup, tried suit on and while pants were altered, the suit jacket was not - it fit the same as it did when it was dropped off. When I asked why it wasn't altered, the owner told me that there was not enough material to alter it. So I responded with what am I paying for with the jacket alterations if it was not able to be altered. Lots of back & forth but was not able to have a simple conversation with the owner. Ended up paying $44 for a jacket that was NOT altered. read more

While I first started using Lee's because I work in the mall, I continue to bring my clothing there for alterations and dry cleaning because they're amazing at what they do, their prices are reasonable and they have a very fast turnaround. Even though nothing I need done is super critical. From hemming a pair of yoga pants, to making a blouse short sleeved instead of long, to alterations on a Matron of Honor dress, nothing was too complicated or overly expensive. And while the store I work at does offer basic hemming, if our customers are looking for anything more complex or complicated than shortening a pair of pants I immediately send them to Lee's. read more

Unluckily for me, I'm in-between sizes. I've heard good things about this place so today I walk in and tell them I'd like to get a new pair of J. Crew pants shortened. They tell me to try it on, measure my pant leg and start folding it up to see what length I'd like. I went for something shorter than what the lady recommended because I'm a man and we are not intelligent creatures. They finish the job in 30 minutes, I come back and wear the pants around noting that (damn!) they seem too short. I'm not sure what I expected. Luckily, the woman tells me she can lengthen the pants by 1/2" and that they'd do it for free. Another half hour later and it's all done, the pants fit perfectly, and I give them $5 because I felt so very silly. All in all, an amazing little duo of tailors. I'll most definitely come back when I make more mistakes. read more

I've used Lee's Tailor for several things and all the work has been excellent. I had a quilted jacket that had hooks and eyes and kept coming open. I purchased a fashion zipper online and took it to Lee's and they installed it. I now love my jacket and can wear without fear of it coming open. I've also had pants hemmed and things like that. I came in panicking because everywhere I had been thus far, had turned me away. I brought in my wedding gown to be altered and without hesitation I was assisted immediately. The work was complete in less than 3 weeks!!! I put a deposit down of $20, and paid $205 for the entire dress to be altered (hemmed, 3 bustles added, and it was taken in). It was significantly cheaper than other locations. The entire process was quick and painless. She even gave me recommendations on what would look and work best with the dress and with what I wanted. The work was great! You cannot tell the difference at all! I have already recommended them to a few people. read more

I own a lovely old coat that I've worn for over 20 years. Over the years, the inside of the collar had worn away and ended up covered in holes. The tailor at Lee's replaced the worn fabric inside the collar while leaving the rest of the collar intact by inserting a piece of denim. The workmanship is excellent, the replacement was done in a very clever and aesthetically pleasing way, and the color of the denim matches the original lining perfectly. read more

I went in to get a bridesmaid dress tailored -- the straps needed to be taken in and it needed to be steamed. They told me it would be done in a week. We agreed on the date and they gave me the tag. I went in on the agreed upon date and they looked at me like I was crazy and said, "tomorrow!" I said, "nope, today" and showed them the tag. They tried to push it for an evening or following day pick up, but I held my ground because I needed it before leaving for a trip. The solution: They said "give us 30 minutes." When I came back the dress straps had been quickly tacked and poorly seamed with a stain on the skirt. I will never go back. read more

I came here to get a hole repaired in the pocket of a new pair of pants that I could not return because I was traveling. They showed me the frayed seam and recommended replacing the pocket at a cost of $5 (instead of sewing it). I went to dinner at CPK down the hall in the mall, came back less than an hour later and the work was done.
