My family was sick of our usually takeout places so after reading so many rave reviews we decided to go with Indian from Anmol. There were some delicious highs, the Shrimp Chaat and the various Naan's were delicious. The mixed tandoori was dried out so much it could have substituted for hockey pucks. Inedible best describes the chicken. Highly disappointed. I'm not sure if they were having an odd night but my family was less than impressed. read more

One of our 'go-to' choices for Indian cuisine. It's always a treat to take the 20 minute ride there to get take-out! Our favorite meal(which tends to not change much!) Pashawary Naan is always delicious (think fried dough flavors!), Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Curry and sometimes Meat Samosas for a starter. Feeds our grown family of 4 and leaves everyone happy! This..by...Far... is the BEST Indian food around. I lived in Beverly for 8 years. I'm pretty sure I ate at Anmol at least once week wether via deliver or in house dinning. They have a beautiful, nicely lite dinning area, but I much prefer the bar side. A nice sized bar. There is always music playing. Not to loud, not to low. Not the music you'd except but you'll enjoy! All the food is amazing! I personally enough the paneer tikka masala and just the tikka masala sauce in general. It is so rich and creamy. Perfectly spiced! I would eat it with a spoon!. Lucky you can order it by the oz. Either 8-12-16oz! A 16oz peered with some garlic naan is a prefect late night snack. The bar tender is always pleasant, and more importantly, pour the drinks nice and strong!! If you enjoy Indian food or just great food in generally, you must try Anmol! It is a little on the higher priced sized but it is well worth it!! You can thank me later!! read more

Amazing samosa , chai and papri chat! They make all their spices on their own (they do not use preservative no msg). Samosa was like "home made" with coriander seeds and milk spices in the potatoe filing. Papad was served complimentary with 3 different chutneys (mint, tamarind and onion in spices). We ordered the Saag Paneer and Aloo Gobi for takeout about an hour before close and were unfortunately sorely disappointed given the reviews. The paneer is cut into triangles (??) and is pretty clearly store-bought. The chutney's are a scary neon color, dyed with food coloring, and the cauliflower was tasteless, had no sauce and was overcooked in the gobi... Would be willing to give it a second chance given how nice the staff were, but all of these reviewers touting authenticity need to have some real indian food to compare this too lol. read more

I love Anmol. The first time I came was with a school field trip on my birthday, ten years ago. My family and I have been patrons of this place ever since. We get take out, mostly. They're quick to prepare the orders and always get the spice levels right. Though you're never going to get a completely "mild" order - most of these dishes spices are integral and you couldn't possibly have them removed. I used to hate spicy food and their mild was just the right level for me. My family's classic order is garlic naan, meat samosas (they're lamb), chicken Tikka masala (ordered medium), chicken vindaloo (hot), and the chicken makhni (medium). When I'm at the restaurant I also get a mango lassi, of course. Both at the restaurant and take out comes with rice (for each main dish) and a type of tangy cracker that I've never managed to pin the name of. The samosas are flaky and filled with lamb, onion, and peas. They also heat up really well if you have leftovers. The flavor is incredible, and since it's only 2 to an order you'll be craving more. Naan at this place is great, fluffy and soft, but the garlic adds a little extra that really makes it. My dad gets the chicken Tikka masala. He's not an adventurous eater so the classic take out is perfect for him. Anmol's Tikka is creamy and buttery, and the chunks of chicken are large and satisfying. This is a great dish for those just venturing into Indian cuisine. My mom's favorite is the chicken vindaloo. She's the adventurous eater in the family, and handles spice extremely well so she gets it HOT. It's definitely too hot for me to eat a lot of, but the taste is not at all ruined by the spice level (which I find can happen easily at some other places I've tried). The vindaloo has bits of onion and bell pepper strips in it as well as the creamy sauce and chicken chunks. My favorite it the chicken makhni. This is your classic butter chicken, but Anmol does it best. A bite of this to me is absolute heaven. This dish has a lot of chicken, but unfortunately they're more like strips than chunks. I don't mind too much, because the sauce is king, but I know others might. Despite my glowing review of the food, I often don't enjoy the vibe in the restaurant or of some of their employees. Employees can be great, and the atmosphere is best in the evening, but sometimes it's quiet and awkward in the dining room. I expect it's better in the bar area, but I've never eaten there. We happened to be driving in the area and lucked onto this absolute jewel. The name means priceless in Hindi and this restaurant is actually that. The first hint that the food was going to be really good was the fact that there was absolutely no parking on the road in front of it despite this being late in the afternoon on a Sunday. Inside the restaurant was full of locals and had me slightly worried because I didn't see any Indians! The food is completely authentic however and as tasty as any Indian food I've had anywhere!! The portions are huge. The Naan is as soft as a cloud. The paneer Makani was to die for. The bhindi is exquisite. The mutton dish (roghan josh) was delicious, succulent and soft. Nice find in Beverly, where my cousin recently purchased a house. There was a block party in town and finding seating for a party of 5 in a restaurant seemed impossible, so we decided to walk a little further out. Anmol does not look like your typical Indian joint from the outside but rather a pub. We didn't realize there were 2 entrances - one for the bar and the other for the dining area. I ordered the Veggie Samosas and the Lamb Biryani and they were excellent. The 2 samosas were crispy and loaded with potatoes, peas and curry. The spices were very aromatic in my biryani dish and the curries all around. The lamb that arrived was abundant and cut in large pieces. Service is attentive and the servers are kind. There's light music playing in the background that soothes the meal experience. The complimentary chips and chutneys were fresh and the mukhwa cleansed our palettes nicely. Mediocre Indian food at best. Went there for dinner last night with a group of friends. The room was cold. One of the many servers who came to our table told us to order immediately because it was busy and would take a long time if we ordered additional dishes later (the room was empty about 10 minutes later, and it was nowhere near closing). That was rude. Of the vegetable platter and shrimp pakora appetizer we got, only the latter was good. We asked for a medium level of spiciness on everything. All came out mild and low on spices (chicken biriyani, lamb biriyani, chili chicken, and madras(?) lamb curry). The garlic naan barely had any garlic on it (very disappointed about that after reading the rave review and seeing previous pictures!!). Whoever got mango lassis did like them. I don't even recall anyone asking us how the food was once we got the orders, although that may have happened at the other end of the table. I hate to say this, but this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at an Indian restaurant. read more

Freakin-A this was AWESOME! I've eaten at way more places than my current number of Yelp reviews reveals because I've been eating all over since way before Yelp existed. So believe me when I say that Anmol is a top shelf Indian restaurant in a nice suburban setting. When you walk inside, the ambience is just perfect -- not too bright, not too dim and the architecture makes you feel as if you're in a little restaurant in India. I am usually forgiving of bland furniture but their tables have a gorgeous top and their seats are nice and comfortable. Most people don't realize that a beautiful setting aids in digestion and increases the pleasure of the overall experience. We ordered 1. Chicken Tikka Masala (sorry, I almost always do!); 2. Nan; 3. Raita; 4. Jasmine Rice; 5. Mango Lassi (fermented yogurt drink); and 6. Vegetable Samosas The chicken tikka masala was the best I'd ever had... I've had it really good before, too, but someone here really knows what they're doing! The chunks of chicken were so tender and the sauce so well balanced that I experience that culinary orgasm that is, otherwise, so rare and considered as fictitious as the Loch Ness monster. It is real. The CTM is perfect. The Raita was also well balanced, nice and cool and great for dipping and it was a more generous portion than I'm used to receiving anywhere else. The Nan was good ol Nan... nothing stood out but nothing was supposed to, either. It's generally meant for dipping or scooping and was great in that regard. Vegetable Samosas were delicate and crispy. The filling was tasty and the shell was of a texture slightly differen than I've ever had elsewhere. If I hadn't eaten so much Indian food, I might never have noticed but it's worth nothing so that newcomers to Indian food can pay close attention to it for it will surely be every-so-slightly different elsewhere. It was interesting, to say the least... gently crisp but then melting into gently pasty. The Mango Lassi was as sweet as ever. Like most places, Anmol doesn't escape the phenomenon of displacing the Lassi with a big chunk of ice. I know they want it cold because it's best cold but less ice would do the trick just fine so request less ice if you want more Lassi. Surprise... I had a dessert I didn't list above! Kheer - this was a sweet rice pudding with almond slivers and raisins and all I can say is M-m-m-m-m-mmmm... it was a super welcome pleasure-center ending to a super incredible awesome meal. Everything about this place is, in my current experience, absolutely excellent... including the professional, well-dressed waiters. I have been going to Anmol for many years because the food is so yummy. Today I want to tell you about their health precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. First, the wait staff was wearing masks when I walked in. They put up a new glass barrier at the counter. A table was set up with a pen. So although they did take my credit card, they did not need to touch the pen for me to sign. They did not need to touch my hand when giving me my food because they put it on the table for me. And when they saw I was staying 6 feet away from one customer who, a few minutes later, did not respect my space, they stepped in and guided him over to the side to wait while I finished my payment. The service was nice, courteous, but the Mango Martini I got was way too strong, and even though they saw I only took two little sips they didn't offer to take it off the tab.
