I grabbed takeout from Anmol in Beverly on a weeknight with a friend. We ordered the mango chicken, coconut chicken, and garlic naan. Nearly $48 for all of this with tax. The chicken in the mango chicken was tender and the sauce was sweet but I wouldn't say it had an abundant mango flavor. I wish the portion size was larger. The flavor felt very authentic and is some of the best Indian food you can find in the Beverly area. read more

This is easily the best Indian food in the area. We stopped by in a Saturday night and while it was busy, they were super attentive and the delay was minimal. We had Lamb Saag, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Samosas,Pakora, and some cocktails. The food is fantastic! The portions are generous (the entire portions are a little less generous, but the appetizers are great portions.) and there is a heavy amount of meat in all the mains as opposed to sauce and fillers. We had 2 babies and the staff was accommodating and all the other patrons were so kind. There is good space between tables but I will say it was full when we walked in and full when we left so if you need to wait a few, go for a drink at the bar! The drinks we had were strong, but not over powering. I think they were perfect. A great bartender for sure. This is a cute spot and very clean- the only thing to note is that there are no changing tables in the bathroom for babies, but the rest of the restaurant was pretty accommodating. read more

This was my first time trying Indian food and it did not disappoint. So much flavor and so fresh this place is awesome I will definitely be back. Service was great and they were very nice. The place was very peaceful and was a really nice spot to have some great food and watch some Sunday football. We both went with the mild spice version of our dishes and the flavors were amazing I could probably go a level or two higher with the spice just given my tolerance but would be happy with the mild any day of the week. 100% will be back. read more

I've been wanting to try Anmol for a while and I finally got to last weekend. I had a nice lunch here with a friend. The restaurant is quiet with spacious booths and soft lighting. The server was excellent about refilling our water. The food arrived quickly. The mango lassi came with a fresh slice of mango which was a very nice touch. My friend and I shared garlic and cheese naan. Some parts of the naan were overcooked and there wasn't much flavor, but it was still good enough. I ordered the paneer makhani with medium spice. The sauce was very flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. The paneer chunks had a nice texture. My friend had the mango chicken with medium spice. I tried a piece and the meat was very tender. When we received the check, we were given kheer with some kind of crunchy topping we could put on top. Nice way to end the meal. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking on Rantoul Street. I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 because I have been to other Indian restaurants in the area where you get more for your money (larger portion sizes for less money with comparable food quality). My friends and I were dying to find a good Indian spot that was nearby. We came on a Saturday night to find it pretty empty, so getting a table for our party of 8 was not a problem. We shared an order of samosas and cheese naan bread for our table. I thoroughly enjoyed the samosas since they had the delicious chutney on top. They still maintain their crispy outer layer with more fresh garnishes as well. I was hoping for the Naan bread to be more chewy but was a little disappointed to find it so thin and almost crispy. I also could barely notice the cheese sprinkled on top. We also shared the dosa special which had a side of very bland lentil soup. Unsure about the portion size, we all ordered individual plates and just shared family style. Once we had all received our dishes, we quickly found out it was way too much food considering the density of the seasoning or the quality of protein. They offered us a plate of rice and some marsala sauce per couple. I like the marsala sauce but some of the proteins were very dry. We tried their goat, chicken, and beef. The better dishes were the ones that were in the mango sauce as it was sweet and good to serve over the rice. Overall, we had an OK experience the waiter did not go out of his way to introduce himself or help us make some decisions on the menu. Food was either a hit or miss so I'm not sure if I would come back again. read more

Possibly the best Indian food in the Boston area I've found yet. Would absolutely drive out from the city to come back here. The samosas weren't oily but crispy and fried perfectly. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Anmol anymore, although I had recommended it in the past. My fiancé and I had dined there and got take out many times over the past few years, and while the food was usually good , there were times when it made us ill. Our last visit to Annol was a fiasco that left us stunned. The staff was unbelievably rude to us demanding that we leave the premises the second that they closed. We did not keep them there even a few minutes past closing time and we were still finishing our last few bites when one of their staff became irate, saying that we must stop eating and leave immediately. Had he been more polite then perhaps I would've understood, but he was unnecessarily aggressive in his tone, and made no apologies, saying that we were not welcome there and our past patronage notwithstanding he told us not to come back in the future. His outburst in the restaurant was unprovoked and completely out of line, and from now on we will be sure to take our business elsewhere. This was an outrageous way to treat any customer, and I will say that I've never experienced anything like it before at any restaurant that I have ever.been too in my entire life!!! read more

We've been to Anmol a couple times now and each time has been consistent with their food. We've enjoyed everything we've tried there. My favorite by far is the Aloo Tikki Chaat and their Naan bread. The Aloo Tikki Chaat is so flavorful and delicious. The naan bread is cooked perfectly and great for dipping in everything. The Chicken Korma and soup were also good. Seems they have gotten better over time. We have not sat inside the restaurant to eat since before covid. I recently met someone from Boston and when I said I was from Beverly they said they take the train out to go to Anmol because it is the best around. When we get just one entree with white rice, we get a few meals out of it. So much flavor for every single bit. Yum. In fact, my son wants to get it soon. But, my daughter and husband don't like anything flavored like this. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Super tasty. Tikka masala and mango are favorites of ours. I hope they add online ordering in the future but being the only Indian restaurant in the area that might flood them with too much business! My family and I have been going to anmol for almost a years now. At one point we're going once every other month. Took my Mother in Law for it today for her Birthday dinner and was told inside the restaurant and outside the restaurant that my husband, myself my children and mother in law were liars. My daughter found a huge curly hair in her coconut chicken. Every one of us has straight hair. They came over apologized and were making her a new one. No big deal stuff happens in the kitchen when you're working with food . Then my son went to rip a piece on naan bread and there was a very long hair. Now this has all happened in a 6 minute time span that we received our food. Then a guy comes to our table after we tell out waiter about hair number 2 and he proceeds to keep stretching out the hair saying no one in the back has either kind of hair that was in our food. My husband being fed up with his rudeness told him to just give us the check and the guy from the back who I have never seen before told us just to get out. So we left. The man follows us out to our car and says to my husband I was told you come here a lot but you're a liar and you're not welcome back. I have never had such an awful experience at a place that we loved and frequented regularly. After finding 2 hairs and being treated like that you don't have to tell us not to come back. First things first I will say this, I'm an indocarribean male who's gramma always had it going on in this kitchen and despite my cultural roots and flavors being a little different than the typical Indian palate, this place truly knocked my socks off with execution and flavors. First off you know it's going to be good Indian food when people of all different kinds of backgrounds are walking in and out of this place like it was the place to be. My wife and I went in and sat for two in a decently sized booth which could fit 4, with the table set very nicely. The aesthetic was very pleasing especially to the ocd eye-the old witches curse- everything that I saw was clean from plates to spoons and the ledges behind the tables even. Nic nacs all around which is nifty in my opinion. Water was surprisingly yummy and the masala chai was just what they said it was. Real ones know about that. When seated, the promptly brought us the water, a side of fry bread, and a 3 sauce spinner with your sauces on that was also very aesthetically pleasing. The sauces were yummy, peanut oil sauce, a spiced chutney and a minty parsley mango yogurt blend if things got too spicy. We kept it very simple this time around and got the medium heat chicken curry which was perfectly medium heat if your wife is a white woman who can handle her spices ;) I got the spicier version of the lamb curry which in my opinion also came out perfect. Not too spicy I could've bartered for more peppery sauce but we were on a time crunch so I accepted it as it was. Very nice servings, flavors and aromas were just like home. Long grain rice was cooked to perfect and the desi paratha was ALMOST perfect. The service from the entire staff was awesome, my wife's water cup never was empty once. We were in and out of this restaurant in about an hour and everybody inside the restaurant couldn't stop talking about how happy with their dinner decisions they were. I hope this place stays in business forever and they keep doing everything they're doing there. I have loved Anmol for se years and referred many people there I noticed during covid that their take away containers shrunk - maybe by a quarter? I th they might be suffering from the situation. I recently got take out and had sticker shock . I know food prices are high and perhaps it's reasonable and now just out of my price range. it's supremely disappointing. Sometimes I get fresh food and sometimes the food is old. Overall it's good place to have Indian cuisine.

The food is INCREDIBLE. I may be biased as I live up the street, but you can smell it from when they start cooking from a few blocks away and it lures you in. The staff are always kind and charismatic, and the food delivers every single time. They are consistently excellent, with deeply developed flavors. Very solid spot for your Indian food cravings. We stopped by after visiting the hospital in Beverly and got some delicious chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobhi (Cauliflower and potato dish), Garlic Naan bread, and Chicken vindaloo. This place was recommended by a friend and we wnet there with them as well. It is a hugh place in Beverly,MA and has a bat seating with TV's as well so it was great to sit on high tables and watch the game. The service was great and so wa the food. We had Paneer bhurji, chicken tikka, navratna korma and all the curries were good. Best thing was their impressive big Garlic naan. It was amazing. Only one thing i took a star off wa there was no salt in any of the veg curries at all.. not sure they make it bland or they forgot to put it in Overall expeirence was very good.
