We found Jerry through Yelp. We are VERY impressed! If I can save you some time, I did get other…read morebids. The other bids were more expensive, and since Jerry came out for an estimate the same day I called, I knew what to look for in other bids. The other bids missed so many trouble spots Jerry saw! AND, the other bids did not include repairing damage. Jerry repaired BIG holes squirrels made in wood, including in doors of a custom made cabinet. My heart sank when I saw the damage. When Jerry said he could repair it, I wasn't sure how, but I told him to give it a try. Jerry made the cabinet look super cool! He used metal across the top so the little critters can't try again. He matched the metal to the wood! I took my husband and two sons out to see the repair, and they swore up and down there was no way it was metal. They said the cabinet looked brand new and they couldn't tell any difference from before the squirrels chewed it up. So, the other bids didn't see all the spots Jerry found, and no one else offered repairs, but their bids were higher. Jerry was extremely professional the whole time, stuck to his estimate and followed through with everything he said he would do. No more critters in our attic, their old entry spots are sealed off and we can't even see the damage. We've already recommended Jerry to neighbors.

They are professional and kind - a little old school, but in all the best ways! The gentleman, Pete, who comes out to do the HARD work - and it is HARD work - is caring for both humans and pests of all kinds. He is professional and respectful. He works fast and diligently. Best of all, he is super honest and will not stop until the job is done right. They are reasonably priced and they do not try to oversell!!! These guys are good people and they have my business longterm!! In terms of communication, they are a mom & pop shop (local business of people who care), but they are honest! They checked traps I put down and for any signs of rodent life, when they did not find anything - they said that I did not need traps at this time - that the preventative should do it! This is not a fancy franchise operation - they use text better than phone and send invoices by email. They are not perfect - no one is - but they acknowledge when they are wrong and fix it right away. One time, I did not notice an error in my invoice and they texted me to tell me the price was actually lower. They always respond to me and they show up - they always do better work than I anticipated. They quoted over the phone, stuck to the quote, did the work they showed me over the phone. They also showed me where my other exterior spray service has made some exterior staining on my brick and did not try to sell me on anything. Just shared so I could know and talk to the other company to fix it. Highly recommend!

So, after my lengthy review detailing Cypress Critters' lack of response to my warranty request,…read morethey contacted me and let me know they all had COVID-19 and weren't able to respond to texts, emails, or Yelp requests over the previous week. However, they were all better and willing to take care of my warrantied work. Much to my delight, they showed up on Aug. 8th and installed a one way trap over the problem area. They also used quite a bit of that black styrofoam sealant I've heard so much about in other reviews but whatever, it shouldn't be up long right? After install, they told me they'd be back in a week (unless we called them earlier if a squirrel was caught in trap). Great. Well, today is Sep. 5th (Happy Labor Day!) and I haven't heard a damn thing from anyone at Cypress Critters in a month. Maybe they got monkey pox this time? Is Ebola still around? Maybe the plague. Whatever the case, I didn't care to hear anymore excuses or waste another minute trying to get in touch with this unprofessional business. So, I pulled out my ladder, tore off their trap, scraped off all the black styrofoam sealant I could, and dealt with it myself. I'm probably better off, considering some of the god-awful work I've seen in other reviews. 0 stars. I won't be using them again and good riddance. I'd imagine there are much better options anywhere in Houston. Perhaps, other businesses in this field take pride in their work and honor their word. Perhaps.

After watching the video, he confirmed that the critters were birds and clearly explained our action steps. He was not in a rush and we had a great conversation about life. He took his time taking multiple photos from above and below to highlight all most of the chimney. Chris was careful during his inspection and when navigating the ladders through our gate and onto the roof. My mind was at ease knowing that I did not have to also hire a chimney sweep! Then we called Critter One, and they arrived within the hour! Instead of harming them, they safely relocated the animals back into the wild. We're so impressed with their quick response and excellent service. Once we scheduled the service, Greg and Jonah came out a few days later to handle everything, and again, the experience could not have been better. Great guys, hard workers, and they got it done quickly and thoroughly even at the end of what I'm sure was a long day for them. They also clearly explained all the work done and next steps. Finally, Justin came out today to ensure the critters had vacated the property and seal up the remaining exit, as well as clean and decontaminate the attic. Justin was punctual, had a great attitude as well, and got it done super quickly! All the work comes with a 15 month warranty as well. 5 stars all around, no notes. Would definitely recommend!
