It's always a good trip to an office supply store when I find purple Staples, purple envelopes, a…read morepurple pen, and can print my eBay label for $0.14 when I thought I was going to have to drive all the way over to the library and pay a dollar to use their internet plus $0.20 to print the label. That's what I call a successful errand. The girl behind the counter who printed my label was very helpful since I have never used their service before and showed me how to send her the label after I purchased it so she could print it out at lightning speed for me. I asked the young man at the cashier counter if they had any single pens and he pointed me to a large selection of them. I thought the Sharpie markers were kind of expensive compared to other stores but I bought a nice purple ballpoint pen that writes real smoothly. I left the store happy and satisfied I had accomplished what I set out to do plus more. Update: I've been back twice in three days and still leave happy each time. It would have cost me about $3.50 to print these 3 labels at the local library. Preslee gets an A+ for patience and know-how. Update: 7/28/17 I've now come in here 6 times and every time I have gotten wonderful help. Today I wanted to print out a little tiny label to save myself having to write it over and over and over again for a craft project. All I had to do was hand print it one-time the size I wanted and the girl behind the counter was able to print it out 15 x on one paper so I can cut it out and paste it onto the projects. It was well under a dollar for four sheets which gives me 60 labels I can use. If I need smaller ones I can bring one of the copies back in and they will shrink the size and print more for me. How easy is that? I'm changing my four star review to five stars because I've had so many good experiences in this location.

Spent an hour talking to website tech trying to process an order. This store won't let you email, or pay over the phone, but online system won't process payment. I will not be shipping hest buy again…read more We went in to purchase a 700.00 camera kit for our upcoming vacation. They didn't have it set up on the camera stage but said they had one similar to test out before purchase. I went to pick it up and test it out the employee advised not to because the alarm would sound (it was very sensitive) I asked if he could help us find one we could handle so I could test it out. He advised "all of the batteries are dead" I asked him to change them out. He advised the alarm would sound and they didn't have the key to release it and change it out/charge it. Why have cameras up for display and to be tested and not keep up with charging the batteries or changing them out? I asked if I didn't like it after buying it could would they take a return,he advised yes for 14 days. They tried to up sell me on the warranty and didn't even know what it covered, didn't even know what the manufactures warranty covered. Against every cell in my body screaming "walk away and don't buy it" I bought it, only to return it the very next morning. Upon returning it they kept almost a 100.00 of my money for a restocking fee... had I been able to test it out at the store before buying I wouldn't be out 100.00 because I wouldn't have bought it! They have gone downhill and are below subpar for customer service and the condition of their store/what's available to test out before purchase. Save your time/money and order online through another company. Best buy is shit for customer service

Sometimes a store has good vibes and sometimes it doesn't. I was in The Office Max over on Soncy…read moreand got nothing but good vibrations and pleasant helpful employees. I didn't get that sense in this store. When I first walked in the front door I saw they had Sharpie pens on sale for $0.50 each. Score! I grabbed a couple and walked around the store to see if there might be any other school supplies of interest or on sale, found a couple items on the clearance table, got frustrated because there were no prices on many of the items in another clearance area so how are we supposed to know how much they are or if they're really on clearance? I decided since I wasn't spending very much I would double back over and pick up a few more Sharpies. A friend of mine has been trying to get me interested in rock painting and I thought for that price I could experiment and see if I liked it. I don't want to be spending a lot of money if I don't keep doing it. I grabbed one of every primary color, 8 or 10 of them and took them to the front. The girl checking me out was nice enough but she informed me that there was a limit of three on those and pointed to the fine print in the newspaper ad. I told her I didn't see the ad I only saw the sign in front of the pens and asked if she minded if I slipped over to where they were, not too far and check the sign. There was no one in line at that point so it was fine. Sure enough the sign had in little tiny letters limit 3 per customer. Now why do they put it in such tiny letters?? Do they want one person after another to grab a bunch and take them to the counter only to find out they can only get 3 for that price so that the clerks have to be continually putting the pins back? If there's a limit of three they should mark that clearly so people understand. I thanked the girl for her patience before I left. She was apologetic and said if it was up to her she would have sold me all of them $0.50 each so that made me feel better.

There were three people close by, the cashier helping a customer and another employee standing close to them and having a conversation with the customer. I walked closer to them thinking that the extra employee that was conversing could help me. I asked if they could get someone to help me in the ink department. The conversing employee looked my way, clearly annoyed, and said "yes." I asked, "Yes what?" He then told me that the person in charge of ink was busy but as soon as she finished she would help. I went back to the ink department and a short time after, the ink lady came over. She helped me in picking the ink. I asked if I could see peak to a manager about the rude employee. She pointed to the rude employee and said he was a manager. I asked if there was as someone higher than him. I told her about the condencending manner that he had treated me. She said she would report it to the store manager. I wound up not buying anything because a store who has managers that are rude to customers doesn't deserve my business. My experience with other companies is getting managers who are more knowledgeable and friendly than a regular employee. Clearly that is not too he situation at Office Depot

They will not talk to you or let you search their web site for prices without getting an exact address first. And even if their prices have dropped, if you use your real address, you will see nothing but the prices that you are presently paying. If you lie to them about the address you are calling about and then find out that you are being over-charged, they will reduce your bill. While they have almost no competition in Amarillo, at present, I hope that changes because I will be one of the first to bail. I previously had Dish and we LOVED the music stations and selections. There were a dozen channels for everyone in the house. We got to missing it so much that we upgraded our Suddenlink so that we could get their music channels,..... and they are AWFUL. Pitiful selection of stations, genres and the skimpiest playlists imaginable. We never listen to music on Suddenlink. And, if indeed you find yourself stuck with Suddenlink, know that you are going to experience multiple "mini-outages" virtually EVERYDAY. They are only five to 15 seconds at a time but they are very annoying. Suddenlink runs tons of commercials trying to convince folks that their employees are good citizens, and they may well be, but in my opinion their employer is a corporate bully and shady service provider.
