Making all my back ups incompatible, as the iPad Apple sent me was not compatible with US based Apple I-Cloud. I had AppleCare and was told by Apple that they cannot replace the iPad just because it's from a different country. I called Michael from Westgate Computer and he told me to let him handle it. So I took it in and Micheal did an amazing job. I now have an iPad Pro that I can use and is compatible in the United States. I was able to restore all my data back. Micheal was able to get Apple to understand that I purchased an iPad in the United States and live in the United States, when I had spent hours with senior level Apple Care advisors who were unwilling to do anything. Westgate Computer has definitely earned my business. Next time I upgrade it will be from these guys, I am very impressed with their service.

I am the first to write a review of this computer repair store? Does that mean that everyone else…read morehas been too busy? This guy, Dan, knows his stuff. Maybe I shouldn't say this, but he didn't charge me for an estimate and when I went to pickup the printer he told me that the entire machine "has issues" and not to invest any more money in it - that I could go buy a new one at Office Depot for less than $100. And I dropped off and picked up the printer in the same afternoon. It was a little difficult to find the location - it is off Western Plaza, but it is worth persevering. This place loves computer, not because they are money-makers, but because this guy is so old that he has been in the business from the start and loves working on them. Too bad he doesn't work on cars.

His costs are very fair and he explains all of the equipment he used in a very simple and easy to understand fashion. Highly recommended!

Port gets replaced and now battery needs replacement. Says that if they keep finding things wrong with the Ipad I can apply credit to purchase of new or used one. I get told that the replacement under Apple warranty was a refurb and told they are terrible (red flag) either i should have expected that more would be wrong or .... needless to say I agreed to $377.79 for battery and get call that a $15 part needs to be replaced but they will "cover" the cost. I have been impressed with the transparency (they emphasis many times they cannot know what is wrong and if more they will give credit towards a refurb or a new one and both come with a lifetime warranty for repair if it goes wrong. Wife picks it up and when I log into it screen looks like it is wrinkled. Enough is enough he prices a replacement (refurb $1200+ dollars including my credit) I can buy a new one for $800 at Sams. I should have asked what the selling price was (remember they were transparent) but the reality is i can buy 2 new ones for the price of a refurb (1200 + what I spent $485=$1685. I asked why he didn't tell me the price (I should have asked) He then lectures me that mom and pops have to mark items up from retail (for new they buy at retail prices??? And I should know that's what all mom and pop stores do) and they have to charge for the warranty. On refurb they must be making 300%+. Feels like bait and switch. Buyer beware.

It was a tough job because these notebook components are extremely compact, and in this case, the memory drive was small and had a proprietary interface so I just couldn't drop it into my desktop and pull all of files. I learned 2 things from working with this computer repair shop; 1) Save yourself the hassle and pay these guys for their expertise in getting your computer issue resolved. Use the time you save tinkering on you computer to spend it with your family instead. 2) I am never buying a darn ultrabook ever again! Those pieces of crap are not worth my money.
