I telephoned this morning to question a billing and the agent was kind, knowledgeable and solved my questions. Thank you Sudden Link for having employees like the one who answered all my questions. read more

I went to the Amarillo store to pay my bill. After a short conversation the agent and I were arguing and his anger went from being rude to calling me names. Apparently he was not trained to deal with all types of customers because he was ready to fight an older lady half his size. All he could think of for a resolution was to call me names, names that he wasn't qualified to accuse me of being. I called customer service to try to cancel my subscription but the nice guy who answered talked me into staying. read more

The worst wifi provider ive ever dealt with. From the time I started my wifi got increasingly worse, experienced constant outage, and horrible customer service. I upgraded to the 500mbps wifi plan hoping it would make my wifi somewhat better and not only did it not, they switched me to the 1GIG plan without my consent. Even on this plan I still got the same horrible 10-80mbps wifi for $120, when I tried to cancel this they refused change my bill, So I was charged $120 for 3 days of a plan I didnt use choose nor receive the benefits of. Like I said customer service is terrible, even when speaking to an 'agent' it's very clear you're speaking to a poorly made bot or someone from another country who barely knows what they're doing. read more

THE WORST WIFI COMPANY EVER. In June I called to let them know that I was moving and was told to run the box to the store and service would be disconnected for july and I owed no money. They then have tried for months later to keep charging me. I called was on hold for an hour and a half, and they still wanted to argue I had service when I was told it was disconnected and it was returned. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. out of touch billing and accounting team. read more

optimum is a complete fucking joke and how they're still in business is beyond me! t-mobile, at&t, verizon, vexxus, literally anyone else has less fucking problems than optimum does! you can't use their app for shit other than to view your bill or pay it. customer service is a complete fucking joke just like the rest of the company. somebody needs to take them to court and have them put out of business forever! read more

for the last 7 months they have drawing money from my account. I've had the internet for years but I'm paying for a mobile account that I never authorized also. $47 for 7 months. all this time I was thinking it was just the internet bill I was paying. when my dumb ass finally looked into it I realized they have been stealing from me. I called and got the usual transfer over and over til they finally hung up on me. 5th try I finally got them to cancel that service. always avoiding my question as to how this came to be. would not refund me my money so told them to cancel all services. 3 days later they hit my bank again for $47. I finally had to block them. read more

This is by far the worst internet and cell phone provider that I have had ever. I have been struggling with them for a whole. Week, I'm canceled and they still message me if I'm ready real schedule. My appointment, I went with metro and believe me.They are ten times better than optimum, please.Nobody get the service it's horrible... I wish there were negative stars and I will give it the lowest... Plus they don't give you your money back after it was their fault. You weren't connected, and they'take you round and round in circles, sending you to every agent they have. This is company is a joke. A joke... read more

The worst company I have ever signed up with deserves negative stars! If you have any problems, you will spend at least one to four hours on the phone with customer service because all they do is transfer your calls and put you on hold. When you try to cancel your account, they are the most difficult people to work with they keep offering you deals even when you say you want to cancel. I canceled about three months ago and I'm still getting billed and when I called they're stating that it's not officially canceled even though I got the cancellation letter and last month when I called for the same problem, they told me not to worry about it because my account is close, but they're automatically drafting money from my account still. when I asked to turn off auto pay they say that's not an option and when I asked to completely cancel again, they do not listen to me and they just continue to give me the go around. I fully regret ever going to this company now my only option is to put a fake card on file and delete my other card while calling my bank to block this ridiculous company. read more

Terrible. Several months of not having "authorization" of the account that I SET UP. Not having access to pay the bill and this endless cycle of telling me its fixed. I do not recommend Optimum to anyone. read more

I had to call for a down wire that was in the middle of our yard and the road. They kept telling me you have to have an appointment! For a down wire oh and it's Friday but we can't come fix that wire that us in the middle of the road till Tuesday. After being transferred to a supervisor I had to repeat to them again that their wire was in the middle of the road. Service already sucks but their customer service is worse. When I have to repeat the same thing and they don't want to send anyone out to fix their own stuff *** is horrible. What company wants to treat their customers like this. Then they change their mind and say someone will be there when they can. Don't choose optimum, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! read more

More like Suddenstinks!! These people are liars. I called them to make some changes as in cutting down on some options for a lesser bill, they wouldn't allow me because my husband's name is on the bill and I might be an "angry ex" that's trying to change things up, yet and get this YET a few months before, I had called to ADD extra stuff and they allowed me to do that. So, how does that make sense? They also said we would get 2 yrs without being charged for some boxes that they hooked up, never happened, they charged us from day one. This service is terrible. Their poor employees go above and beyond, but they double your rates and don't fix anything. They blame landlords for their unwillingness to upgrade lines, even after months of complaints. Optimum is trash, and they supposedly bought Vexus in order to own most of the internet in this town. Expect trash internet for anyone in an apartment, and if you're struggling to survive, expect bills to double while service sucks while they take no accountability read more

I have been an optimum customer for the past 3years. and I have had the same issue for the past 2 years of not having reliable service. it will work grate for like a month or two then unstable. all optimum does is send a tech out. replace my modem. and leave. it will work grate for a month or so then back to unreliable. this is not acceptable as for they state in their ads "99.9%" reliability and that is false information read more

Been with them over 12 years and I am finally throwing in the towel. We have always called and made payments over the phone at the number on their bill. Called in April man answers the call says Optimum payment system is down and they are taking the payments. Gives me a name that will show up on my bank statement which it did. Daughter calls a couple days later says there is no internet (happens frequently) call to see how long outage is going to be and they inform me they disconnected due to nonpayment. Relay to them what I am saying here, and they are still holding me responsible for the payment. Bank is checking on it for us, but Optimum says that it is not their fault and suggest I start paying via their website. Never been late nor missed a payment and it is MY fault your system got hacked! Nope. read more

If I could give them a ZERO I would. This is the worst company ever! My 94-year-old grandmother has had their service for 27 1/2 years. Her TV has been on and off with no service for 16 days. Terrible company. Been with suddenlink for years because I thought I had no other choice until now. Throughout the years I've had them.... They have been very aggressive with me if I asked for a lower price. Never successfully troubleshooted any problems I've had and now that I want to cancel my service I keep getting phone numbers that don't lead me to a representative that can cancel my service. They stopped giving me internet but they are STILL charging me over 100 dollars a month! The only option I have when I call any of the phone numbers they gave me is payment options. That's it. No people. No help. Nothing. I've chatted with the online text people and they say they can't help me. read more

I had hoped that optimum taking over suddenlink, that the customer service or honesty for customers would've improved. But I'll add another 1-star review to this sad excuse for a business. I have never been soo wronged by a company than previously with optimum and been so abhorretly dismissed by representatives. They are one of the cheapest in town, and it shows in every faster of optimums operation. read more

Scammers......I have to share my disappointment. What a joke for a company, they are taking advantage of legalities and robbing people without impunity. I was just on the phone with Nisha and she couldn't put me through to a supervisor because "there was none present", when asked if she knew the name of her direct supervisor so I could speak with him at another time she said she wasn't allowed to give out that information. They are charging me for 30 days of service that I haven't used and on top overdraft fees. What a joke, not even a try to help, not even a polite approach to the conversation, a Joke is what this company is. Scammers read more

This company is as bad as advertised. I was never alerted about the hidden internet fees until it was too late. One of the biggest problems I face is with their customer service, as it's all outsourced to India. Generally I haven't had bad experiences in talking with them, as they try to be as nice, and accommodating as possible. Unfortunately, the praise ends there. They never really seem to help me with my questions, and I got the run around several times as to why my bill kept getting hiked with expensive fees. They told me that they sent me a message concerning the added fees, but I never received such a message. Turns out they were sending it to an old phone number I haven't used in years. I had that number taken out of their records years ago, but they still had it on their records. Long story short, my bill now exceeds over $400. I've always paid on time, and never had an issue like this before. I now plan on canceling my service, going elsewhere, and investing in a VPN. A company with so many bad reviews shouldn't be allowed to stay in business. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

Suddenlink (long ago) used to be a good company, but they have been horrible. As far as the actually service, for internet only, we really haven't had any outages and the speed has been good. But that's where the good ends. Their customer service is horrible. They increase your bill almost every month by $20, at least. You call to get it fixed, they say it'll be fixed and you will get another bill and it hasn't been fixed. They expect you to pay the overcharged amount and try to charge you late fees while you keep having to call back because they aren't fixing your bill. Never again will I go with suddenlink, and I will never recommend them. And you wonder why they are in so many lawsuits right now. They're about to be in another one. They aren't the only internet providers in Amarillo or Canyon and there is absolutely no reason to choose Suddenlink. At all. read more

I was at the Amarillo Suddenlink to return equipment. Said it would be about 15 minute wait. Took my number to text me. They closed the door without a response. The one that took our name came out from the side of the building not the front door. Another customer approached him as to why we weren't texted. Sorry sir I have no control over that. You could say we are closing. I walk up to the door tapped on in and the Dufus inside looked at me then turned his head. Suddenlink is worthless. Sad thing is. There was no one I mean NO ONE waiting at the windows This was bad service disrespectful to leave people in the parking lot with NO RESPONSE. RUDE CRUDE AND SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE. This is a total turd of a company, and it is amazing that they are even in business. We've had a business account for our four retail locations for ten years. A few months ago, our credit card on file had expired, and rather than emailing or contacting us to let us know, they simply waited until it was sufficiently past due and cut off our service one day entirely. That's nice. I asked them why they wouldn't give me any warning, and they said "Oh we can't email everyone who is late on a payment." No? Then how can you email me three times a week selling me on upgrading my services, etc.? Total garbage. We switched all of our locations to another company and it was one happy day when I dropped the equipment off. Suddenlink is hostile toward business. And with a lot more competition coming, they are getting ready to experience their own discontinue notice. Good for them! read more

I have service with Suddenlink. Their lines have been strewn across my alley for 5 days now where a vehicle cannot pass. It is a dangerous situation as if a car were to come down the alley, like they usually do, they can easily get caught up in the lines. I called Suddenlink 4 times and no one has come out yet. Secondly, I have a friend of mine whose father is 89 years old, has a heart condition along with other medical issues and has service with Suddenlink. His phone went out and his daughter called Suddenlink to get them to help restore his service. The would not do it because, although she, too, is a customer of Suddenlink, she was not an "authorized agent" on his account. I guess they don't care about their customers...and if something happens to this man, it is on their hands. If there was another option, I would switch service immediately. This is craziness. read more

13 minutes ago This company is the absolute worst! I never write reviews, but in the case I must make an exception. Since we moved into our home in March of this year, we have gone through three routers, seven technician visits, and still no reliable internet. Of course, the bills still come due and no adjustment is ever made for time without service. Staff will flat out lie about the issue at hand. In just the last couple days we were told it was because of a past due amount so we paid it. Still no service. Later that day, a phone rep told us there was an outage in the area that would take 48 hours to fix and there was nothing else to do about it. Since I have had high speed internet in other parts of the state, I can confidently state that nothing has happened in the area that would justify a 48 hour loss of service (like a hurricane or tornado). Latest call to SuddenLink resulted in a setup of our eighth technician visit, as they now don't show any outage in the area. Of course, it will now be two days before the technician can come out here. If there were another game in town, I would switch in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. Update:. I posted this review on Google earlier today and it was taken down. Way to take care of your customers, SuddenLink. read more

Without a doubt the worst internet I've ever had. And because of my location, SuddenLink is the only available internet provider I can use. I have the 200 mb/s service and I constantly 1.) cannot finish a HBO/Netflix movie or show because of the poor speed and connection and 2.) lag when playing Xbox Live online. I've emailed and called about the issue before and of course, nothing improves. My internet has been out for 4 days. My cable became disconnected from the house and run over by a car. I work from home..virtual calls, Teams call, zoom calls..you name it. 1.5 days later the service guy came arrived but he could not climb on the ladder and make the connection due to wind. I have a neighbor across the alley who has the exact same internet service/speed from Suddenlink. (No equipment rental, No TV, No security). He moved in 2 months after we did, and is paying 33% less per month.....did I mention the EXACT same service (we compared bills). I did not mess with calling at the time I found out the price difference. I did not mess with calling after they failed to send the $50 gift card for new customers. Now on 03/01/20, they have raised my bill 20% after 6 months with them. When I called, a was connected to a foreign call center. She looked at my account and said they the bill had risen due to taxes imposed by the government. I informed her the taxes went up because the bill went up! I asked why my neighbor was paying so much less, she said he probably had a different plan. I told her I was looking at a copy and it was the EXACT same plan. She said okay, look at you bill and you will see your cost...not an answer. I asked again, and she said the same thing. I ended the call. I went online and used the chat feature under contact Suddenlink. I wrote a 2 paragraph chat and submitted. The "virtual" chat agent said thank you for your inquiry, please call Suddenlink. Suddenlink is a prime example of what happens with little or no competition. This company has to be one of the worst in the panhandle. I have used a week of vacation this year alone to get the cable at my home repaired! My TVO went out, I thought instead of taking a day off, I would simply go to their office and exchange it. I am currently about the 28th person standing in line. This is the third time I have attempted to simply exchange the box. On the previous two attempts the line was approximately 30 people deep with the same two girls working the counter. Obviously there is a NEED for more customer service reps in the store, can they not find help??? I pray that att hurries and ups the competition. I bet only then will SUDDENLINK will restructure or go out of business. read more
