Straight up trash, scheduled my appointment for last Saturday. Then got an email saying they weren't coming until Tuesday. Now it's Tuesday, they were scheduled between 4-6 and i called and now they are saying between 615-715. The girl on the phone is not giving any help, doesn't sound like she cares whatsoever, and is not helping with anything just keeps saying she understands. Now they are saying they did contact me, I CALLED YOU BECAUSE I WAS NOT CONTACTED. Nothing pisses me off more than when a company does not have good work skills or lacks communication skills. Terrible experience with SUDDENLINK! They will try to take as much money as they can from you.. I had returned all my equipment after I had cancel my services with SUDDENLINK an so I called they claimed they never received anything and thats why I was being charged that certain amount of money.. I gave my tracking number mind you took me an 1 hr on the phone trying to find my package. Once they finally found my package, the lady said she was going to remove the charges.. sure shit im getting a collection letter from CBHV saying I owe SUDDENLINK for they're equipment I never turned in and charged me for that phone call. read more

SUDDENLINK is awful and if they weren't the only internet service provider in the area, they would be out of business. Numerous customers complain about the services they provide and I have seen no changes in their behavior over the years I have had to suffer with them. They claim the ability to provide critical information during inclement weather, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, SUDDENLINK will often drop service during windy days and just randomly for fun. This company is not worth your business- Messenger pigeons and smoke signals are more reliable! read more

We were billed on 5/13/17 for a service call. The tech said that when he left everything worked fine. Now why is it that your line maintenance people had to replace a broken section of the line and a piece of equipment after this technician was out here to make out internet work? No please explain to me which one is lying to me.' Either your tech is lying because our service wasnt fixed until after his coming out OR your linemen are lying about fixing the internet and restoring to us our paid for 200 megs that we have had issues with since last year. Someone here isnt telling the truth. Since nothing was fixed until the line men fixed the broken line and replaced a faulty piece of equipment I am more inclined to believe them over your tech. Look at our records. 8 modems swaps in a 5 month period never fixed the issue. Umpteen service calls that never fixed the issues for more than a couple hours. A lineman had to put a tap on the line to email when it failed over the weekend. Poor guy must have had hundreds of emails. That monday 2 linemen show up to explain what they found and what they did to fix the issue. Since the service call has already been paid by auto pay (which has now been dropped) there isnt much I can do but to hit social media with the 800 plus speed tests showing your poor response to our issues, the false service charge and the final results from your linemen. I hate getting on my high horse but being 100% disabled for PTSD, I get this way really fast. Amarillo Local Business Owners... DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH SUDDENLINK!!! We signed up for 12 months of advertising, and paid each month via THEIR ONLINE BILLING & PAYMENT PORTAL. Each month the bill was a different amount, even though the contract was for $499 per month. We paid each month, the FULL BALANCE listed on their online payment system. As small business owners, our time is of the utmost importance. We do not have time to constantly monitor, contact, and correct other's mistakes.We must rely on our advertising partners to give us CORRECT BILLING INFORMATION EACH MONTH. When a bill is issued to us, we pay the amount listed, and move on. 6 months into our contract, We received a bill for $1750.00 as well as stating that we were 120 days overdue on our account. The previous month had shown a $0.00 balance. After contacting them, they informed us that we had only been partially billed for several months of our account, and, that 2 months ago, a check from another party was deposited into our account, causing them to send us 2 months of $0.00 statements. Upon discovering their errors, they simply sent us a bulk bill of $1750.00 which also stated that were 120 days delinquent. I called our Suddenlink representative and he was as concerned as we were, and assured us it would all wash out. I then contacted their financial division and was immediately put in touch with some WENCH who began to inform me that I needed to make sure that they were billing me the correct amount each month. I informed her that WE PAID EACH MONTH, ON TIME, THE AMOUNT THAT WAS BILLED TO US BY SUDDENLINK AND PAID IT ON THEIR WEBSITE. When you run a business, you do not have time to check and re-check each bill you receive. EXAMPLE: If you are sent a bill for $100.00 do you hunt down the contact info for that company, call them, key in the extension number and hope to get a person, and ask that person "excuse me, I am on your online billing site, to pay my bill of $100.00 should I pay $100 or do I actually need to send $200? Can you just check real quick to make sure that you didn't mean to bill me for $200?" THE ANSWER IS NO... YOU PAY THE BILL AS LISTED, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY SENT YOU. I was informed by said Wench at sudden link, that despite paying online for months and always showing a current balance, that I should have "known something was wrong and called to fix it" Do you have any idea how many bills come in each month at a small business? there are TWO PEOPLE doing the work of 3-4 employees. We do not have time to do our accounting and another company's while still conducting our daily business. WE DO NOT GET PAID TO DO SUDDENLINK'S ACCOUNTING!!! SUDDEN LINK YOU SUCK! I have never used suddenlink as a cable provider, and certainly never will. Our home internet has been with suddenlink for about a year, I believe we will be canceling that promptly. We still have an old "clear" wireless hub and it works just as well as sudden link, but costs us $19.00 per month as opposed to $65.... Netflix and all! From this day forward, I will make it a priority to DETER ANYONE FROM USING SUDDENLINK FOR ANY REASON based upon this detestable excuse for customer service & product management. I'm 71-years-old and seriously ill, with little strength to talk at great lengths; I've spent one hour today trying to receive the correct account number to register as I am new to the area. After the installer gave me all the wrong 4-digit number/account number information,I could not register. So difficult to obtain this simple information, I asked for a Supervisor, Robert #15559, who should be skilled in customer service etiquette; instead, I was brow-beaten and bullied, and talked over by him. He was spiteful and mean. Just unbelievable! Having worked for 33 years, 15 of which were in customer service as a mayor's secretary, I know how difficult the public can be, but when you are dealing with the elderly, it takes one who possesses patience, understanding, empathy to be successful. Robert was the worst customer service representative I've ever encountered, bar none, and should be removed from the job until he has undergone proper training. Drops tv service every day. The box reboots in the middle of a program and you just have to deal with it. This morning was down for over an hour. We unplugged the box, reset the box, called the tech line and went through the automated stuff, which we had already did. The representative was less then helpful. They sent updates to box and had us do the exact same thing! Like I said, this happens all the time. Each time they say it's fixed. It's all just lip service. Then there's the little problems like the remotes losing their link and having to deal with that. We are told it's the batteries, but they are brand new. So the tech guy comes to check it out. They get here and can't find anything wrong. We pay a lot of money for the services and the convenience of cable TV. Looks like we will have to do something different. This totally ridiculous. If you are looking for a TV service, I would not recommend Suddenlink. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever received from any type of company. We called them to set up services. The appointment took a week before anyone came out. The service technician was a third-party, he stated a different type of service technician needed to come out which would take up to 48 hours. 48 hours came and went, no one showed up. We communicated this with Suddenlink Who scheduled another service appointment a week out. This service appointment came and went and no one showed up despite receiving multiple text saying a service technician was on the way. Now they have began to charge us without even installing the Internet. We have tried to call multiple times and have been placed on hold for hours only to be hung up on. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. They're horrible. They have no competition and could careless about their customers bc they know most have no option. They legit steal your money. Absolutely horrible service. I have had about 7 service calls because internet starts and stops. They tell me it is on the lines and putting in work order for maintenance then leave. Still no internet and more service calls. every time same thing! Either very inept or just really dont care! Only provider in my area but about to just learn to live without internet!! Can I give this place zero stars? Cable, phone, and internet service not worth a damn, and unfortunately without any real competition. The customer service reps via telephone and in person need to get training in how to deal with customers. The line is always really long and the wait is always unbearable. When your internet service has intermittent outages it can become annoying and inconvenient. I think some good competition would seriously help this place! They are over-priced due to the regional cable monopoly and the lack of fiber competitors like Google Fiber. AT&T U-Verse only offers it's slowest plan which has a very low data-cap so that people who use Netflix can't use it and Amarillo Wireless does not have coverage on most of the city proper. As a result, most people have no other feasible choice than Suddenlink and they know it. They like to rope people in with offers that will go up in price over time and they put a lot of pressure on people to bundle services they don't need. It is a terrible company and I wish there were better options in our area. read more

They told me every month for four months they would credit my account when I was receiving less than 1mbps per second for over 4 months. When they didn't credit my account I called and they said they only had 1 recorded complaint and that I was out of luck. They are the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Worst customer service ever....first bill was sent to the wrong address so my service was cut off because I never got a bill then was charged to have it restored.....got charged for a modem then got charged to rent it every month and had to call every month to get it resolved...finally I was told this modem is not supposed to be sold and that's why I'm being charged to rent it after calling for 3 months in a row....got charged for an upgrade in service that i was told was free then I couldn't be told as to how or where my charges were coming from....one representative would say one thing and the other would say something else. The internet service at my house shuts off at either 9am or 9pm or both. It's average is at 9. Sometimes it's 8am & 8pm. Within or after the 9am & 9pm hour, no service. Customer service has not been helpful at all. In fact, they laugh. No attempts to figure out the problem. Our phone service had been the same way. This has gone on for a year, despite numerous requests for help. Working from home, my livelihood depends on reliable internet service. Thank goodness my cell service offers hotspot so I can continue, but it sure would be nice to have something reliable. read more

Have not AND WILL NOT purchase services from ?Sudden-link?? Name fits...........computer will BUFFER for half hour........then all of a SUDDEN something shows up. In process of moving back to West Texas, and utilized the Amarillo Library (SW) and their internet ?connection??...........nothing but problems, and not very fast problems at that. Attempted 'Link' with a HP and a Lenovo.................. ?Connection?? would've been laughable if me needs weren't under time constraints...... Once settled back in, "Sudden" WON'T BE a consideration for Internet hookup..........and I'll do my best to help get the library a better WiFi connection. Library reported 'slug-speeds' only for the buffering to prolong to periods that my computers would 'time-out' ninety-nine times out of a hundred. Odds are........city's paying some relative's high dollar prices for a bucket of ca-ca.......... Amarillo-Gate appears to continue it's habits from decades gone by. suddenlink is a misleading company with horrible unethical business practices. I'm paying for a 1 gig connection in Amarillo but have never achieved higher than 800mb. A technician involved in upgrading the infrastructure in Amarillo to actually achieve 1 gig said they won't even have the capability to get 1gig for another 6 months and no where in Amarillo currently has a full gig connection. Not to mention lately I only get 12-20 mb, technician came out and did all the things I already did, took 3 hours, then said they'd have to reschedule to another date to find the problem. I called to complain saying I don't want to pay for internet for as long as its not working, and suddenlink supervisor Joy C. says they will not stop billing me while my internet isn't working (when the rep told me just before they would) and MAYBE I can get a refund if the problem ends up being on their end. I had to pay $65 bucks to get a tech out to fix the service I'm PAYING FOR and he didn't even fix it and I still have to pay for non working internet. Not to mention supervisor Joy lied to me and told me there is 1 gig capabilities in Amarillo when I know there isn't. Suddenlink is false advertising a 1gig connection when they don't even have the capability. And they get away with it by saying "up to " 1 gig. This company is a sham and takes advantage of their monopoly in small towns. I'm going to post this everywhere I can until my bill is cut by 20% for only getting 80% of the internet I'm paying for. And I want to be reimbursed for the time that my internet hasn't been working at all. Worst customer service and worst business practices. The only good guys at suddenlink are the hard working technicians who came out and honestly told me Amarillo isn't even capable of 1 gig. Had a tech support guy named Doug on the phone, he was totally professional and gave us a mega deal on our Internet services. Explained the process very well to us, love Suddenlink, but we will never get the cable since they take all the good channels away.. read more

I had an appointment with Suddenlink today. He showed up on time and was very nice. He checked my cable signal and said it was good. I told him the problem was my dvr and showed him the problem. Then he told me I would have to go to pick up a different one at the Suddenlink because they don't allow them to carry replacements on their trucks. I went to Suddenlink and waited for almost an hour. While I was there the girl taking information at the door had several confrontations with people who were really upset about waiting so long. She told them if they didn't like it they could leave. One man she saluted him to his back as he walked away. He came back and looked like he wanted her to take his envelope which she kept telling him no. She had let others step inside the lobby to drop their payments in the dropbox and finally told him he could. At that point he was angry and threw it inside the lobby and walked off. She was very mad and threw it outside yelling at him. He drove off, she picked it up and threw it in the trash inside. I know because I was inside at that time. They really could use some customer service training. Worst company ever. I loathe Suddenlink!! read more

New to the area. What a mistake. TERRIBLE customer service! No call no show while I wait around for the technician. I call to say I have to be somewhere and am told they can reschedule me for Thursday. I ask if someone can contact the technician to see if he will come later. Im put on hold for 15 min thinking someone is doing just that but instead realize I've simply been transferred to another agent to whom I must repeat this whole mess and so now we're rescheduled for Thurs because that is the best they can do. Worst experience ever. Just moved into town. Had issues since first installation to now which is about three weeks. Started with my speed being less than 40 mb when i signed up for the 200 mb plan. It took about two weeks for some to come out to fix the issue. Before some one came to fix the issue my account was cancelled and I went without service for about four days. I was told on several occasions that I would be refunded for my complete bill once the service was corrected. I gave my number to two clerks who insured me that I would receive a call within 24hrs from a supervisor so would be able to credit my account. I did not receive a call. I then called in my self twice. Once I did reach a supervisor was was told I would not be credited for my bill because they do not credit for inconvenience I then asked if I could talk to another supervisor. I was told seven times that I would get the same answer if transferred. He finally transferred me to supervisor Michelle which I am assuming she is the floor supervisor of the call center. She informed me that I would not be receiving credit on my account due to inconvenience I asked to speak with someone else. She then followed up with that's not happening and hung up on me. Absolute worst company ever. Should have read the reviews here because they are absolutely accurate. Had an appointment to have internet set up between 8-12 and they NEVER showed up. To make matters worse, they informed me that a tech showed up, no one answered the door and they called and left a message. ABSOLUTE LIE! My husband took a day off work specifically to be home to have internet installed and no such thing happened. How can a company be so unethical? Also, when I called customer service multiple times, every single one had a different answer and said that the techs have until 8:30pm to come. No phone calls to me or my husband whatsoever! I have never been this upset or frustrated with a company in my life. Worst part is that there are only 2 internet service providers in Amarillo and AT&T Uverse's internet speed is too slow (18mbps). I've been trying to hold out until AT&T Fiber is available in my area but I needed faster internet for school. I can go on and on about how horrible SUDDENLINK is but I don't want to waste anymore time or money. HORRIBLE!!!!! I would give them NEGATIVE stars if I could. read more

We have had nothing but issues with this company. After 3 different technicians came this summer to move a modem from one room to another, and the resulting TiVo challenge, I thought we might be done. But no, yet again the TiVo box cannot connect to the internet. After an hour and 45 min on hold, I spoke to rudest person I have ever dealt with in customer service. He would ask me a question and after I responded not say anything. The only reason I knew I wasn't disconnected was the other agents in the background. I repeatedly had to ask if he was still there or could hear me again with no response. In the end not able to make any resolution and sending a technician out. This was the exact reason the last technician came out 2 months ago and changed the box out. So not only did it take me 2 hours and 15 min on the phone today, I now have to be available for a 3 hour appt. this week, not to mention the countless hours spent earlier this summer. read more
