I knew something wasn't right, and I needed help as soon as possible. From my very first call, this company went above and beyond to accommodate my urgent situation, and I am so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. Our field representative, Nicolas, was absolutely outstanding. From the moment he arrived, he was incredibly friendly, patient, and thorough. He completed a detailed inspection and took the time to explain exactly how mice can get into a home, pointing out areas of concern and answering every question I had. He then walked me through their entire plan for sealing entry points and preventing the rodents from returning, making sure I understood every step of the process. What really stood out was how understanding they were about my budget. They presented the recommended service but also worked with me to find options that fit within my budget without making me feel pressured. That level of honesty, flexibility, and compassion is hard to find these days. By the end of the visit, Nic didn't feel like just another technician--he felt like a trusted family friend. His knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care turned what was an incredibly stressful experience into one where I felt informed, supported, and confident that my home was in good hands. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone dealing with a rodent issue. If you're lucky enough to have Nicolas as your representative, you'll be in excellent hands. Thank you for treating us like people instead of just another customer. It truly made all the difference :)

I'm incredibly disappointed to even be writing this review after being a loyal customer of Primate…read morePest Elimination for nine years. For years, they were extraordinarily reliable, and I was genuinely happy with their service. Unfortunately, their service has gone completely downhill. Recently, we've had bugs returning the same day they treat our home. I've brought this to their attention THREE separate times, yet the problem continues. On top of our regular service, I'm paying extra for mosquito stations that are clearly not working either. We are moving in two weeks but keeping this house, so I explained that I wanted to continue using them at the property, but if they couldn't get the pest problem under control, I would unfortunately have to cancel. After NINE YEARS of being a customer, I expected them to care about resolving the problem and keeping my business. Instead, the owner's response was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Rather than trying to understand why a longtime customer was suddenly unhappy or figuring out how to fix the problem, he essentially wanted to cancel my service. I was honestly shocked by the way I was treated after nearly a decade of loyalty. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have recommended Primate Pest Elimination to several friends over the years. A couple of those friends told me they thought the service was terrible, and at the time I genuinely didn't understand why because my experience had always been so positive. Unfortunately, now I understand. This used to be a wonderful company with wonderful service. Something has clearly changed. When a company would rather lose a nine-year customer than listen to legitimate concerns about a service that is no longer working, that says everything. After nine years, multiple referrals, and a lot of loyalty, I never expected to be treated this way. Extremely disappointing, and I can no longer recommend them.

I'd like to update my review since my first stellar review was for the initial estimate process…read moreonly and I said I would update (but forgot). It's been 5 years and we've had plenty of people up in our attic since Rodent Masters completed our job and any time someone goes up there, I beg them to check and double check to ensure there are no rodent droppings. During this time, we have not heard a peep in the attic which is a complete 180 from what we were hearing before - it always sounded like the rats were having a party up there in the middle of the night. The process took about a month from start to finnish because the first thing they do is cover and patch all holes or entrances up so that nothing can get in (or out) and not just outside of the house but inside the attic and inside every single area from within the house. It's a LOT of work but they did it very well. Then, they came back and, in our case, because things were so bad, they sucked out all of the insulation and then reinsulated the entire attic with much higher quality material than what had been removed. Then they came back on final time to ensure there was no activity. So, I have no reason not to continue recommending Rodent Masters and I have for the last 5 years. I do think I will contact them soon though just to have someone do a walk around to ensure there are no new holes that have developed since they were last here. Highly recommend and I'm glad to see that the reviews continue to be outstanding since the one I gave 5 years ago!

ONE STAR FOR SHOWING UP ON TIME. ZERO STARS FOR EVERYTHING THAT MATTERED…read more I hired Rodent Masters because I have documented ongoing rat activity around my private patio at my apartment for approximately a year. I have five security cameras recording the activity, including rats repeatedly on the ground in my private patio where my small dog walks and sniffs. I explained the situation to Max in detail, including how distressed I was, and told him I was prepared to pay for an exterminator's help myself. At their request, I obtained my landlord's permission for them to perform the work. The day before the appointment, I went even further: I sent Max a five-page presentation with photographs and a diagram of my property, identifying suspected burrows, storage areas with rat activity/droppings, openings I wanted sealed, the water-heater closet, planters/root systems and other possible nesting and entry locations. I also explained that I have a small dog and wanted safe, enclosed trapping options. I specifically asked whether they could perform the work the same day if possible. The technician arrived on time, but the inspection I expected simply did not happen. He focused on whether rats might be inside my apartment even though I had reported an outdoor problem. When I asked whether he had seen my presentation, he told me it was "at the office." He did not open and inspect the storage cupboards where I had reported rat activity and droppings. He did not investigate the suspected burrows. He did not seal any openings. He looked directly at an opening into one of my storage areas and did nothing about it. Most incredibly, while standing on my patio he explained that rats like protected areas around water heaters, yet he never even opened the doors to inspect the two water heaters I had specifically identified in my presentation. After all of this, the primary recommendation I received was to buy mountain lion or fox urine and spray it myself. After I complained, Max initially told me in writing that he was "very confused" because he had forwarded my list to the technician and explained the situation to him. He later said they were trying to "save me money" and the technician did not want to take my money "by just setting traps." That explanation makes no sense. This was supposed to be a free estimate. I never told anyone I was on a budget. I had specifically asked whether they could do the work that same day and was prepared to pay. Nobody even gave me an estimate or presented treatment options and allowed me to decide what I wanted to spend. Max also brought up my doggie door afterward. I did not tell Max about a doggie door the day before. I mentioned it casually to the technician while we were already standing on my patio. I never reported rats inside my apartment. He insisted on coming in and looking under my sink and told me I had no evidence of rat existence. My complaint is simple: I hired a rodent professional to investigate documented rat activity, identify nesting/entry areas, recommend appropriate trapping and exclusion, and give me an estimate. Instead, the specific areas I identified were not meaningfully investigated, no holes were sealed, I received no estimate, and I was essentially told to buy predator urine. Had Max simply told me after receiving my five-page presentation that this wasn't the type of work they were going to perform, I would have thanked him and continued looking for another company. Instead, I stopped searching because I believed help was coming the next morning. That lost time matters when you are already dealing with an ongoing problem. I also let Max know how traumatized I was by these rats and how I wasn't sleeping at night. He seemed so empathetic and told me not to worry. Why pretend you want to help and then lie about our initial conversation. P.S. I saw another reviewer say someone from this company arrived in an unmarked white van, which the company disputed in its response. The technician who came to my home also arrived in an unmarked white van, and I have the security-camera footage showing it.

Rats had infested my mother's closet leaving filth, urine and feces, and the inevitable stench that accompanies both. They completely destroyed fabric and cushions therein. The rats also moved throughout the rest of the house leaving their marks. Green Rodent put in trenches and cement pads to prevent rats' ability to dig through dirt and enter our home in the future. The crawl space was rodent proofed and sealed. The rank odor is now gone. The carpet in my mother's closet was removed and that in the adjoining room was cleaned & sanitized. The exterior of the home was treated with an organic repellent (much appreciated) and all openings were sealed to stop further infestation. Isaias, Jorge & team cleaned the working areas each day that they were here. Everyday their work was exceptional. Always accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer questions. This team went the extra mile every day and I hope they receive recognition for their excellence. Green Rodent Restoration. Highly recommended!

I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I understand accidents happen, projects don't always go as…read moreplanned, and I'm generally willing to give companies the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision.

I'll start off by saying that I have never left a bad review. My experience with HomeShield has…read morebeen the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company. I can honestly not comprehend how they have such a high rating other than the fact they beg for reviews after each service. First the good: They respond quickly, have low upfront fees, and if you push them a little they'll discount. They'll also get out to your house for the fist service within a few days. The general treatment definitely works (though I don't think the mosquito one does). I loved all of that and it's why I chose to work with them. Also, their phone customer support reps are nice. That's about where it stops. The bad: I signed up for both the monthly mosquito service, and the quarterly general service. I was told the rep that would come out would walk me through the service, look for areas where mosquito breeding sites could be etc. That didn't happen. I had explicitly asked for the inside of the garages to be the main area of focus, but I don't think the reps read the notes because I had to come out and remind him when he was about to leave (more on this later). He had also forgot to bring the mosquito trap so he said he would come back the next week to bring it. Not a big deal. A week went by and nothing, two weeks, then three... I had to call to remind them this was happening, and then the rep came by to drop it off. Two weeks later my next treatment was due, and no one came. I figured someone would call me, and as I'm busy I didn't get a chance to call them until it was almost the end of the month. It had been roughly 8 weeks between services. Their email customer support was no help, so I finally called the customer support line and they were very pleasant and apologetic, and said someone would be out ASAP and offered me a refund. Finally the rep came the last day of the month. I thought ok great we're back on track. I then noticed I got charged again a few days later, but it had been 8 weeks between services, so I emailed again. I was told that because they actually made it out on the last day of the month I would not get a refund. Also, on this visit, I asked the rep to stop spraying for a sec so I could move my car to the front of the house and load up my baby. He says ok and I move the car. A few minutes later, as I'm loading up the baby, he appears 5 feet from me and starts spraying. It was unbelievable. Then, guess who DIDN'T SHOW UP AT ALL for the next month? They blamed it on scheduling errors once again. That was the end for me, I called to cancel, and was able to cancel my mosquito treatment, but they said if I cancel the general quarterly treatment I would incur a fee. I was upset because I would have loved nothing more than to never have to talk to anyone from this company ever again. But the phone customer support person apologized and said everything would be fine from now on. I said ok and let him know that I did not want the same rep to come, and that the most important part was in and around the garage. He noted it for the next rep. They came for their service but I wasn't home to meet them. I then started noticing more spiders in/around the garage, and looked at the cameras. The other rep did not go in the garage (he must have been wondering why there were two open garages with the cars pulled out), and in fact did not even go to the back part of my backyard. I'm honestly exhausted from having to communicate with this company. They have not done one thing right the entire time I've worked with them and their email support is not good. They think its ok to charge you every month even when they don't come for basically 2 months. RUN AWAY and find another company.
