Our family brought us here for dinner since we were visiting for my sister's birthday weekend. Service was great! We had the calamari for appetizers - normally I don't like the calamari nuggets but these ones were flavorful. We also got the sampler as well and the fried shrimp and fried pickles were amazing! We got the Boil for TWO option that comes with: King crab, head-off shrimp, snow crab, 1 lobster tail, corn, red potatoes, and sausage. It was messy as expected but the Cajun seasoning was so delicious! Our server was great as well. Would definitely come back again :)

Overall a great restaurant. Just like all of their locations the food is great. It's a seafood boil. They serve the food in a bag. You get to choose the spice level. My go to is trifecta level 3. I highly recommend the snow crab and add on sausage and potatoes. For those with less adventurous taste buds they have typical stuff like burgers and fries. The bar menu is pretty good. Definitely get a spicy Bloody Mary. It's served with a crab leg in it. The food is really messy but they provide gloves and a bib. Notwithstanding, don't wear anything white (or nice). I personally prefer the original location in Mesa on Alma School but that's largely because of the atmosphere and patio. This location is in a new strip mall and seems a little inauthentic, but if you live in the San Tan/QC area this'll do. Minor complaint: the chairs are terrible. They are small little light weight metal chairs and the seats are angled forward so you're constantly sliding out.

Our family was craving the taste of seafood so we stopped by this new location. It was definitely a lot less crowded than the Mesa location so there wasn't much of a wait. Service was average in that the server wasn't all that friendly and she didn't check on us that often. At least our order was correct. The menu is about the same as the other franchise locations for Angry Crab. I would have preferred actual prices foe items rather than just "market" price. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal and left satisfied. The place is very casual. You pretty much eat with your hands so don't come dressed too fancy. We're glad to have an Angry Crab in the QC area and one where we don't have to wait an hour to be seated!

Charred Oysters

Stopped in mid afternoon (4pm) wasn't totally empty. Was excited they had charred oyster. They were tasty, not as good as we had in Nawlins, but a good substitute. They were covered in cheese and the garlic butter was nice to dip the bread in. Catfish was very mild, you could tell it was a frozen filet. The fries after a few minutes were cold. The potato salad was just okay. Grilled salmon with the trifecta sauce. The salmon was good but was over powered by the sauce. The veggies were cooked Al dente. The service was very good. Overall a fair experience , probably won't come back.

First timer here, and it was a great experience!! my family came in tonight, with my mom and nephew. we got beers, and a delicious mixed drink, it was the cucumber honey hot lemonade. Its rimmed with seasoning, and tastes light and refreshing!! we had some nice fried seafood, and fried pickles appetizer along with oysters. we decided to get the huge backyard platter to share among the table for dinner, and i got the catfish with beans and rice, and french fries. Absolutely delicious catfish in a nice big hunk; crunch coating, fried perfectly!! the red beans n rice was so good, not really seasoned, but homey, and comforting!! my family really enjoyed their platter! it came with big hunks of corn, potatoes, sausage. Big ol crab and lobster. Excellent service , and came in Friday night around 7pm, and was seated right away. we really enjoyed the fact that the seating in the dining area is very spacious, and we didn't feel crowded at all. will be back!

My friend and I both ordered hibachi combo. I thought their price was extremely reasonable. And the food was good and portion was big! So we headed to Kracy Cajun Seafood and Hibachi in Tempe, chasing a little seafood satisfaction in the middle of the desert. The first thing that grabs you is the full-wall screen: sea turtles and beautiful fish drifting across it, turning dinner into something resembling a seat inside an aquarium. It's cool. The atmosphere is mellow, laid-back, and welcoming. We were seated almost immediately, and our server got the drink order going without wasting time. So far, so good. The menu was easy to navigate. I built my own boil: one pound of headless shrimp, sausage, two potatoes, one corn, and a $2 hard-boiled egg. I went with the "all flavor" seasoning, hot, and an unsweetened iced tea. Now, two dollars for a boiled egg deserves a moment of silence. I've seen cartons of 18 eggs for under five bucks at Costco or Sam's Club. I understand restaurant markup, but apparently this egg had aspirations. We also ordered Cajun fries. Small basket, good execution: crispy, seasoned just right, and worth reaching across the table for another one. Then came the bag. I gave it a proper shake, worked that sauce around, and emptied the whole glorious mess into my bowl. This is food that asks you to get your hands dirty, and I'm perfectly fine with that. The shrimp were a decent size and cooked just right. The sausage--about eight coin-sized slices--tasted good. The corn was ordinary but enjoyable. My premium-priced egg seemed to have spent a little too much time in boiling water. And the two potatoes? Missing in action. When the server came around, I mentioned the disappearance. He gave me a look that seemed slightly doubtful but said he'd get them right away. "Right away" turned into about five to ten minutes. They eventually arrived. At the table, you can get that fixed. With takeout, you might already be home before realizing your seventy-five-cent potatoes--or that two-dollar egg--never made the trip. But let's give the kitchen its due: the sauce was excellent. Big flavor, satisfying heat, and enough restraint with the salt to let the shrimp actually taste like shrimp. It coated everything beautifully. This was a pretty good meal, and I enjoyed eating it. Then came the math: $48, including tip, for one person. At that price, I start paying closer attention to every missing potato. I also visited the restroom. Luis came with me and handed it an F on the Luis Scale. It was filthy. A restaurant can put sea turtles on the wall and serve a delicious seafood boil, but the bathroom needs some attention, too. That kind of neglect leaves an impression the sauce can't wash away. Would I recommend it? If you want a flavorful seafood boil and the price doesn't bother you, yes. There's good food here. For me, though, the cost, missing potatoes, and restroom made this a one-time visit. On to the next. And don't forget to tip your servers.

A Hidden Gem You NEED to Try - Don't Let This Place Stay a Secret!…read moreI've been to Sage & Barrel Craft Eatery a few times now, and every visit leaves me wondering why this place isn't packed every single night. We stopped in on a Monday evening and had the whole vibe almost to ourselves--such a shame because this spot is seriously awesome and deserves a full house! The atmosphere is so vibey--warm, inviting, perfectly lit with that perfect mix of casual and upscale that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. It feels special without being stuffy, great for date nights, family dinners, or just unwinding with friends over craft beers (their selection is impressive--40+ local options with plenty on tap). But the real star? The food. Everything is scratch-made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care in every bite. Deeply flavorful, innovative twists on classics, generous portions, and consistently excellent. Whether you go for the Nashville hot chicken and waffles, fish & chips, burgers, or whatever catches your eye, it's all done right. No frozen junk here--just real, delicious food that keeps you coming back. Queen Creek (and the East Valley) needs more places like this. Support local, support quality, and help keep this gem thriving so it doesn't disappear. We'll definitely be back--next time on a busier night so more people can discover it! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go. Tell your friends. Mondays (and every night) deserve Sage & Barrel. You won't regret it.

There was no smile, greeting, or sense that we were happy to be there. Our server was very nice personally, but the service was incredibly disorganized. What made it even more frustrating was that she only had two tables, and the restaurant was not busy. My husband's meal never came out, and she did not even notice that he was still waiting for it. While we were waiting for his food, she brought us a drink we had never ordered. She also filled my kids' lemonades with water. The food was just as disappointing. The salmon was extremely dry and hard, and the pasta noodles my kids ordered were hard as well. After waiting and realizing my husband's meal was never coming, we asked for the bill. At that point, our server actually asked if my husband was ready to order... even though he had already ordered and had been waiting for his meal the entire time. Our bill ended up being high, which made the experience even more frustrating because we spent that much money and left feeling like we received essentially nothing worth coming back for. We all left hungry. Mistakes happen, but this was not one small mistake. It was a series of issues with the service, drinks, food, and basic attentiveness, especially considering the restaurant was not busy. For the amount we paid, we expected a completely different experience. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
