Elle was our server and did a fantastic job of teaching my partner and I the ropes! He and I went to try their lunch special menu. I will say the price for their seafood boils are a bit up there but the lunch prices made it well worth it. I ordered the crab and shrimp boil off the menu while my partner got the shrimp boil. Both were gluten free which was awesome to note as a celiac! My partner got the trifecta seasoning in mild and I got then garlic. The garlic was beyond disappointing but the trifecta was a 10/10. I was nervous about the lemon pepper but it was an awesome addition to the sauce. An influencer was filing when we arrived and was not a problem at all (so fun to see!). We loved our experience here and the vibe is welcoming to everyone!

The service here was super attentive. It was very easy to get a table here when we went around 4:30pm. They had a baseball game on a huge screen playing in the background and is a great place for people to causally hang out and eat. We got the clam and shrimp with trifecta sauce at level 3 and it was so good! We really enjoyed the spice level of the sauce, since it was spicy but not unbearable for us. The catfish was yummy as it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cornbread was not our favorite, but it does the job. As we enjoyed our food we each got to drink modelo from the bucket deal which has a $2 off deal.

Service: the service was a bit slow. Took a while for waiter to take our order to get our food. Ambiance: very casual. Food: we got the seafood boil bag and also added a whole crab. The seafood boil was good, we opted into getting the trio sauce combo which was very flavorful. I added 1 star heat and it was pretty spicy. Overall, a good spot for the north-end when you are craving seafood boil.

Angry Crab Shack has basically become our family's unofficial celebration headquarters! Every time we come, the seafood tastes like it just hopped off the boat, and the servers are the kind of friendly that makes you feel like a regular--even if you've only been a couple times. The drinks are great. The vibes? Immaculate. The bibs? Fashionable (in a "don't-ruin-your-shirt" kind of way). We've had two birthdays here, and let me tell you--the siren, the singing, the chaos--it's kid heaven and adult comedy gold. The whole restaurant gets in on it, and you can't help but laugh while cracking into some crab legs. Basically, if you're not getting a little messy and a lot happy here... you're doing it wrong.

My MIL had been wanting to try Angry Crab Shack for awhile so we decided to treat her. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. An automatic 18% gratuity is added to parties of 6+. Indoors is spacious and can easily accommodate large parties. There are mounted TVs at the "bar". Angry Crab Shack offers draft beer, canned wine and a few craft cocktails. I did not see a full bar so I presume the craft cocktails are the canned variety just like the wine. Fresh seafood is priced at current market pricing. While looking over the menu, my wife had a pounder of Manny's for $7.25. My MIL had a Margarita for $8. I had a can of 14 Hands Pinot Grigio for $9. For starters, we shared the Fried Sampler for $15: Fried Pickles, Hush Puppies and Clam Strips. My favorite of the three were the Hush Puppies. My MIL ordered the Catfish Basket for $14 with Red Beans & Rice as her side. She ordered Onion Rings instead of Fries for an additional $1 and a small House Salad for $5. My wife ordered the Fried Shrimp Basket with Fries and Red Beans & Rice for $18 and a bowl of Clam Chowder for $6. I chose the Seafood Boil: 1lb. head off shrimp for $19, 1/2lb. clams for $10 and 1/2lb. scallops for $20 for a total of $49. I was unsure of which spice level I wanted so I sampled two flavors for $2 each. I was not advised of this charge beforehand which I should have been. Overall, Angry Crab Shack is fun for the Seafood Boil only. The majority of the menu items are not fresh but rather frozen and fat-fried. The grits are instant so be sure to ask for a sample before committing to a full order. I love grits and cannot eat thin watery grits which I sampled here. The seasonal vegetables to add-on to ones' boil are even frozen. With the seafood prices, I expect fresh vegetables. Be sure to take home your empty seafood shells and sauce to turn into seafood stock at home to use in homemade Clam Chowder or Grits.

Food was great, service was prompt & welcoming, ambiance was typical. Only thing lacking was the alcohol in our cocktails, but the beer was good. *Dear Yelp, here are a few more sentences for the people who enjoy reading reviews rather than getting outside & experiencing what this world has to offer. Remember what life was like before yelp? We just went places 'cause they looked cool, tried restaurants 'cause they looked nice or someone recommended it... but now, most of us go on Yelp. Why? To read novel length reviews from wannabe journalists? Or are you like me: I just want to look at the menu before hand, check out the prices, & know if I'll get food poisoning or not. Either way, you read this long rant, thanks, I hope I made you laugh

Little gem of a seafood place with a great location and good food. The fish n chips were beer battered and nice and crispy with soft delicious cod. The Cajun fries were lightly coated and seasoned to perfection. The beans n rice were my absolute favorite though, soft fluffy rice, perfectly cooked beans and the veggies had just the right amount of snap left to make them a perfect trio.

Nice fun setting with nice service. Unfortunately, some of us got food poisoning. We ordered the family feast and added on 2lbs of crawfish and 2lbs of clams. Not everything is served fresh. I didn't realize that they were serving frozen crawfish instead of fresh crawfish for $20/lb. We thought it was fresh since it was listed MP. I get the the crab legs, but not the crawfish. Every other seafood boil place I've been to either have fresh crawfish or they don't offer it at all. I don't recommend ordering the garlic noodles or any sauce with garlic butter. It's just way too much butter with little garlic and little seasoning. Makes you feel sick after a few bites of it. We also ordered the oysters as appetizers which we assume were fresh.

I am always looking for a good place for catfish. The catfish was ok. The sausage was not good. Usually they would be hot links. Not sure what this was but it was not good. The catfish was one big piece. I prefer strips. They cook better. This place wasn't bad. The service was good.

The online menu asked what two sides you want with the Loco Moco. It showed a plate with two burgers, two eggs on a large bed of rice plus gravy...and what looks to be macaroni salad for 13.75. It asks what you want for your first side. It asks what you want for your 2nd side. I am guessing you get 2 sides with the rice/burgers. I was not real sure. So I asked for 2 sides of macaroni. It asks for mini or 2.50 for regular. I am thinking they will give you reg. side macaroni for 2.50 more. I go back and ask for mini. I do not need that much macaroni. Very disappointed to open the take out container to find zero rice and one small burger with an egg sitting in gravy and 2 sides of macaroni. They need to make this more clear. You only get 2 burgers and eggs if you add 2.50 (regular size). If you choose mini its not for the size of the sides but way less meat. I believe the photo and wording were very misleading. We also ordered Mochiko Chicken....Macaroni salad and broccoli, also a mini. I had it once before, somewhere else, and loved it. Ordered a Hawaiian Chicken BBQ plate, again mini and 2 sides. Did not like either of them. Hawaiian chicken BBQ was like a chicken thigh flattened with soy sauce maybe...no sweetness etc. They both kind of tasted the same. My 2 adult kids barely ate any of it. This was a real treat for us on a very sad day and it was not what we were expecting.....The macaroni salad was just ok...if I added salt. Said We could save 15% with ordering more so we ordered the won tons. They did not come with sweet and sour sauce but sweet chili sauce. I did not care for it at all with the fried won tons. I will not be ordering from again.

This is where you get the super-nice meat and fish that supermarkets and big-box stores don't have. And their house-made fish dips are amazing. In long It's a little strip mall by the Speedway that would be kinda sleepy except for the drive-through coffee line constantly forming around the whole building. E&O have the end unit. You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. The dudes behind the butcher case have decades of industry experience, and they couldn't be nicer, more patient, or more helpful. I love shopping here.

The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. We took 99N all the way to Everett Mall Way to avoid the I-5 commute traffic (4/23/26). We were immediately seated and provided menus & ice water. Pretty much the same interior, no overhead music, and straightforward table service. There were three others dining onsite, but also later overheard phone orders taken followed with brisk takeout pickups. They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing! Overall satisfying meal at a reasonable price.

Great bar program, too. In long Previously, my biggest complaint with coming here was the total lack of parking every time I have tried. They obviously have no trouble getting the crowds in here. Today we scored some free time in the mid-afternoon, and their HH starts at 3:00 every day. We did go off the HH menu for 3 items, which ended up being worth it. You can't help but notice the buildout here. Pretty lights, interesting patterns or murals on almost every wall, lots of cool detail to the finishes everywhere you look. They even have yon selfie wall next to the washrooms (they took down a much bigger one). The bar has a couple flatscreens showing the game, but I'd probably not come here specifically to pay attention to a ballgame. At regular price, we got an awesome plate of chunky guac which I'd put against guac anywhere around here, at least that I've tried. At $15, it was almost a buck a bite, but, man, it was tasty. The bean dip had a great creamy consistency and mixed well with all the other condiments. We also got a muddled fruit cocktail from the regular menu, which was also excellent. The ceviche isn't a huge portion, and not overloaded with shrimp, but, hey, it's HH, and it's super fresh and tasty. The street tacos had awesome grilled flavor on the chicken, and the salsa served with them was fresh and excellent. We got 2 other salsas with our chips; the table salsa is nice but mild on the heat. The habanero salsa was a little too runny to get much on a plain chip, but it had great flavor and kick. Everything tasted really fresh and added plenty of seasoning to whatever was on the table. This is definitely a good place to mash up your salsas and dips and see what you concoct. The street corn was delicious. Such a perfect HH food--easy for the kitchen, but tons of flavor, and they nail the presentation. Corn tasted really sweet and crunchy even though you know they get it frozen. I'd get it again any time. For 3 apps, 2 dips, and 2 cocktails, we were under $90 before tip. Not too bad, especially since we went off the HH menu for stuff. This place is definitely in the rotation.
