Food is good and the portions are more than generous and service is solid. There is a small bar area and room that has booths and tables (if I remember correctly there is a back patio as well but don't quote me on that). Portions were generous, I should have only ordered two tacos and that would have been plenty. Flavors were on point, of the three tacos the carne asada and birria were far above the shrimp in my opinion and I usually like shrimp best. Margarita had a bite and was well made. This location has been so many different restaurants over the years so we thought we'd stop in to see what Taco's and Beer had to offer. Free street parking can be found. Discover is an accepted form of payment. It's nice to see the Pride flag in the window welcoming a diverse community. Tacos and Beer offer indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating in the front is a couple small tables while the seating in the back is more like a hidden beer garden. A full bar is available for those who enjoy cocktails. The bar area itself is limited to a couple of seats. Happy Hour is offered daily from 2pm-5pm then again from 9pm-close on cocktails and food. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided to snack on while examining the menu. The tortilla chips are on the thicker side and the salsa reminded me of stewed tomatoes; bland. I had pint of Dos Equis for $7. My daughter had a Michelada for $16 and her boyfriend had a Pink Paloma for $15. We sipped on Casa Margaritas for $14 each. We all shared a Birria Quesadilla for $13 + $4 for meat: flour tortilla cheese, Pico de Gallo, lettuce and sour cream. For my meal I ordered 1 Tinga Taco for $5: shredded chicken, onion tomatoes and chipotle sauce on a double corn tortilla. I also had a Carnitas Taco for $5: slow cooked pulled pork, Pico de Gallo and red sauce on a double corn tortilla. Both tacos were served with sliced radishes, lime wedges and grilled onions. Both meat portions were ample. It was a toss up on which I liked better, leaning towards the Tinga. My daughter's boyfriend ordered two Carne Asada Tacos for $6 each: chopped beef, pinto beans, red sauce, onion and cilantro on a double corn tortilla. My daughter ordered four tacos, the first the Camaron Taco for $6: shrimp, Pico de Gallo, chipotle salsa and cabbage. Her second was the Pescado for $6: seasonal white fish, cabbage, Pico de Gallo and chipotle sauce. Her third was the Pork Belly for $5: sea salt, rosemary, onions, cilantro and red sauce. Her final taco was the Tinga Taco for $5: shredded chicken, onion tomatoes and chipotle sauce on a double corn tortilla. Of the four tacos the Pork Belly was her least favorite while the Tinga was her favorite. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and priced fairly. Cocktails seemed a bit overpriced. Second time trying this spot after my brother in law always raving about it. We tried various tacos again and they are SO good. This time I had the birria with consome and a camarone. My daughter had a kids quesadilla which was surprisingly way better than other places and we all killed a bowl of fresh guac. After some research on YELP I discovered a place I'd been desiring to dine at in Seattle had a location in Everett. Well, at that moment I knew it was a taco Saturday and off I went. Well, the guac was amazing with fresh homemade chips and creamy guacamole. In fact you get a very large portion of the GUAC soo Much that we had extra but well worth adding to your meal.... Ok, MOMENT OF TRUTH Yelpers the TACOS ROCKED! A well portioned amount of carne asada topped with cilantro & onions with a splash of pico on each taco. Shrimp was limp...not due to the lemon marinade. Out of my love for fresh shrimp, I ordered the Camarones Al Aguachile...big mistake. The shrimp was limp...NEVER a good sign. Limp shrimp is the result of frozen, unfrozen...then frozen again shrimp. Irrespective of the lime marination, shrimp should NEVER be limp. Cool atmosphere, but NEVER order...nor eat their shrimp. For a seaside community, my shrimp should have been crisp at a minumum. As for the service, lackluster. Such a great Mexican restaurant! The interior does not match the exterior at all, but in a good way. I literally thought this was just a tiny tacos and beer joint with a few tables but it's a decent sized full service restaurant and bar with absolutely gorgeous food, and I mean that. The presentation on the plates is so pretty. The things the kitchen does with crema designs and colorful vegetables on unique Mexican serving dishes makes every meal an art piece. The guacamole is so good (worth paying for for sure) and my bf always orders some extra salsa with his meal after eating it with the chips, it has a bit of a smoky chipotle taste to it which goes great with the thick tortilla chips. Margaritas are good, a little spendy, but what isn't these days? We have always been seated right away, there's a good flow of busy but not too busy. They don't have complementary chips and salsa however, they do offer their chips and guacamole right off the bat. We ordered a couple tacos ($5 each), chips and guac ($12) a jalapeño margarita a Cadillac margarita and Al Pastor nachos ($20). Their tortilla chips are homemade, which is amazing so by the time I nachos came, I was full plus I was tired of eating chips, but the nachos were phenomenal. between the two of us we spent about $100 after tax and tip. In short You can tell by the name that this should be a fun place for drinks and food--they absolutely succeed at that. What the name might not tell you is that the kitchen is crazy ambitious and hard-working. In long This has been a few other good places through the years, and here's to hoping this one sticks. It seems like every new Mexican place we've tried the last couple years becomes our new favorite--we've been really lucky with good new spots opening that each do slightly different things. (Same with Thai places lately, coincidentally enough). This is somewhere between a taco shop and a sports bar, but with a crazy kitchen. When I saw the name of this spot, I'd heard good things, but nothing specific. I was hoping they'd have maybe half a dozen different meats for the tacos, and hoped they'd have a liquor license, not just beer. Wow, was I underselling the expectations. Tacos are maybe 1/6 of the menu, and there are more than 20 different kinds. You've heard of most of them, but there are some you might not have seen at many other places. They're $5 a pop, but they're bigger than street tacos, and stuffed heavily. Plenty of people could get full on two of them. We had the cochinita pibil, which I've seen only on TV, and it was amazing. So were the birria and corn/cheese tacos. The ceviche really hit the spot--great housemade tortilla, tons of flavorful citrus, nice fresh fish. Drained well before serving. This is one of those things that will be tough to skip every time, even if you want to keep trying new stuff off the menu. It'd take you multiple visits just to get through all the tacos! Chips and salsa are not free, but they are truly excellent. Especially the habanero salsa has tons of flavor (and some heat, too). Housemade chips. We got the quesadilla frita, which is a very rich dish, but absolutely delicious, and even getting full, we couldn't resist finishing it. We took still more tacos to family on our way home, and they were all a big hit. We brought ourselves home some pozole rojo for dinner, and by itself one order fed two people. Admittedly, that was a huge lunch, though. Man, everything about this place was excellent--including the spicy margarita. The service here is totally friendly and right on point throughout the meal. Some of the staff is a little quiet but they all smile warmly and keep an eye on you. I'd imagine the fact that we weren't speaking any Spanish yesterday kept a couple of them from being chattier. (I like that--I love when people are making and serving the food they grew up with). There's a big patio out back which will be great in nice weather. Went here in a busy Saturday for a birthday party. If it's cold outside don't worry, it gets very warm in here due to the size of the establishment. It had a great vibe. My wife and I went up to the bar to get a couple drinks while we were waiting for our table(for 13). I am a sucker for Jalapeño margaritas so I naturally got the jalapenorita. It was way better than I was thinking it would be(there's only a couple places that make really good ones), but for being good they were all over the place(we'll get back to that). Upon setting our table just know this is not probably the best pick for a large group of people. They did their best, which it worked, but at the expense of really every table in the whole restaurant. You pretty much had to walk sideways if you wanted to get anywhere, but we all made it work. I ordered bunch of different tacos. The el pastor and camarones were both great the conchinita pibil left a bit to desire. Pork belly was decent. My wife had the Doridito de birria which she thought was spot on, but the chorizo did not make the same impression. Note: the salsa they serve needs a serious rework. No one touched it. Back to the Jalapenorita, though I loved them all they were all different. The first(pictured) looked normal with a Tajin rim. The second had jalapeños in it, and the 3rd had all of the above with chili powder sprinkled all over it. Now I'm not complaining as they all tasted good, but consistency is key. I was not the only person that was wondering why they were all different either. I don't know if they were trying to turn up the heat each one to compensate for alcohol in it or what it was, just weird. Food amongst the group was also mixed as some received cold food and some was just right. But my experience was good overall, and I would come back for a second round with less people. Our server did a pretty good job for the chaos that occurred. Thirteen people on a night that the Tips were playing. Crazy. Like I said it was hot in there when it was in the 30s outside. It is exceptionally rare that I would take the time out of my day to post a negative review, especially of a small and local business. In this case it's very well deserved... My husband and I were excited to try out this spot, as we've never been. The experience started off ok, and quickly went downhill. We were seated right away. Our server seemed very pressed to take our drink and food orders right away, which at first, we viewed as a positive- quick service, right? Wrong. We each got our drinks and our meals. The tacos were decent, nothing noteworthy. What felt like almost immediately after receiving our food, the wait staff was very antsy to see how much we had left. People were waiting at the front entry for seating, and they obviously wanted to move people along, clear tables and get new people seated. I had eaten exactly HALF OF ONE TACO when the waitress placed boxes down on our table. Hadn't asked if we needed boxes, or if we wanted anything else. Just placed them down. My husband and I continued to eat our food and sip on our drinks that weren't even halfway gone...when a server walked by and grabbed my husbands plate from in front of him, while he had his food in his hand eating. We were both baffled. I think it was the rudest thing I have ever experienced while dining out. We still had food and drinks left, but took that as our cue to pack up and leave. The lunga was just as I remember awesome. The quesadilla on the other hand looked like it came from two different quesadillas by the coloring of the tortilla. Lukewarm at best. The flour tortillas were so dry. ( the ones for the Langa ) They were crumbling like chips. He dropped off the food, my iced tea glass was right at the edge of the table, He looked at it, He looked at the empty basket of chips, He looked at the empty salsa and walked away. " would you like a refill on your iced tea? Would you like some more chips? Do you need any salsa? NOTHING I was able to flag him down which I don't like to do and he brought me some more iced tea and the busman brought some chips. Waiter came and asked if everything was all right , we were done eating so no everything was not all right. Ask for a piece of foil and the bill and he did bring me a piece of foil and then proceeded to walk outside. Then I asked the busman for my bill which he asked the waiter to bring to me which he did. So all in all, I'm not going back there it's not worth my drive. I'm so disappointed, I can't even tell you. Wow, I never thought I'd leave a one star at this restaurant. The last time I was there it was an amazing experience. Last night was the complete opposite of my first experience. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated promptly. We had tickets for the concert and a reservation. We put in our drink orders right away. Twenty five minutes later the waitress brought me my drink, she brought my husband a different drink (they'd run out of our beverage of choice so she just randomly picked a different beverage for him). They gave my cousins beverage to the table beside ours and stated that she forgot he'd ordered a cocktail. She went to get him a new drink and to get the man at the adjacent table the correct drink. He'd already drank out of the one should have been delivered to my cousin and realized it was the wrong thing. When she brought my cousins drink back to the table we asked if we could get the chips and salsa that all the surrounding tables had been served and asked to put in our food order. We also ordered a second round of drinks at that time because at 25 minutes a round we'd figured we'd be ready. About 10 minutes later a random man did bring us some chips and salsa and about 15 minutes after that our food came out. We reminded her about our drink order. She ran back to get that and luckily this time quickly brought it to the table. It wasn't until after she'd dropped off the drinks that I'd realized she'd brought corn tortillas when I'd ordered flour. I looked for to see if I could get them switched but she didn't show up again until we'd pretty much just given up on eating the tortillas and eating the meat and vegetables by themselves. At that point we just asked for the bill and left. Over all it was a very disappointing dinner. Even though the food really was amazing. I hope she was new and it was just a lack of training, but it will be a quick minute before I'm willing to go back and try again! read more

We brought our baby, 4 year old, and 2 year old, and our server seemed annoyed with us the whole time. Food was a bit slow to come out as well, which can be hard when you have young kids. After we ate, I sent the two older kids out with my husband because they'd reached their limit, and I asked for a couple to-go boxes and the check. Our server then didn't come back for more than 10 minutes, after she had seen that my kids had already left (they were waiting outside) and we were done eating. Also the bathroom was very dirty - there was no toilet paper and one of the employees was standing over the single stall on their phone as if they just used it, but then it wasn't flushed!
