I've been wanting to try angry chickz since it first opened. What sets it apart are their bowls, like the angry Mac. The service was good. The food is a bit pricey, but what isn't these days? I compare their flavors to Dave's Hot Chicken because I live in Menifee. I wanted to see if Angry Chickz is worth the drive. Been wanting to try this place and finally did. Place doesn't resemble a chain restaurant at all. Very low key and quaint. I got the two slider combo , one hot, one medium and Nicole got the two piece combo, both medium. The lady that served us was very nice and original. Her name is Julie and she's definitely a stand out. Wasn't fake and sappy, she was straight forward and genuine which I appreciate. She brought us our food and we dug in. Nicole enjoyed her food and thought the medium heat level was spicy. She raved about the fries and liked Julie as well. I thought the medium was a little spicier than a Popeyes spicy chicken and it was delicious. The fries were spot on , crisp and had a nice rub on them. Now the hot piece was definitely HOT! Julie told me it was ghost pepper hot but i wanted some heat and i got it. The portion size was huge and we both finished our meals the next day. That hot piece kicked my ass and next time i would share a combo and get medium heat. Drink selection was ok, nothing that would stand out. I would definitely switch that up to better the experience. Went yesterday for first time the lady cashier no name badge so I'm going with short haired older than the other cashiers !! She was so helpful and just incredibly nice , explained the menu to us in a patient manner . The med spice chicken with coleslaw in a bun was so full of flavour absolutely delicious. I saw this place pop up when I was in the area running errands. Looking for a quick lunch spot, this place seemed perfect. Menu was very easy with a few combo options - tenders and fries, sliders, combo of slider and tender. I ordered the slider and tender combo and my boyfriend ordered the two slider combo. They let you choose your spice level for each item. They were out of the "X-Hot" seasoning so my boyfriend got the "Angry" (hottest option) and "Hot" for his two sliders and I just got "Mild" for both my slider and tender. We asked how bad "Angry" was and the cashier said even the fumes from the spice makes the lips tingle. Seemed hot but he didn't dissuade him from ordering. Food took a while to come out. I had to go to the counter to ask someone before we finally got our food. Boyfriend LOVES spicy and can take a lot of spice, but he took one bite, and then a second bite of the "Angry" slider before tapping out. He said everything he ate afterwards, spicy or not, felt like lava. After a while, he tried the "Hot" which was apparently nothing compared to "Angry". He didn't eat much after that so highly recommend not ordering "Angry" unless you're looking more for an experience than an actual meal. Since my food had a reasonable spice level, I'm able to provide a more accurate review, but unfortunately, it is not great. Fried chicken tender was really mediocre, batter was on the blander side, not that crispy. Spice is more of a dry rub. I don't even remember how the slider was, obviously very unmemorable. The chicken could have been good, but here is why it wasn't. Imagine taking a container of dry-rub seasoning, pouring it onto a plate and licking it. Well, that's pretty much what I experienced. I ordered the chicken tenders "medium" and they came covered with about 3 truckloads of rub on them. I could tell that without all of that rub the chicken was probably pretty good, but they completely ruined it. I tried to wipe it off but it was like they glued it in with super adhesive. I ate as much as I could tolerate and just couldn't do anymore. I like spicy so I was excited to try this, well, spicy is one thing.... Drinking seasonings is something completely different. We finally got around to trying Angry chikz for the 1st time. It was delicious! My husband and son both ordered the #1 combo and the portions are very generous. I ordered the Angry Mac wich isn't something I would typically think to try for a 1st visit and it was soo good. The fries are amazing alone but paired with Mac and cheese and chicken it was definitely a combo I'll probably be drooling over till next visit. One of my favorite spots in Temecula, food is great. Obviously not a Michelin starred restaurant, but for a quick and simple chicken spot it's probably one of the best in the area. I've been coming regularly for a couple years now and the service has always been top shelf. I don't have to wait forever for my meal, the staff is always incredibly friendly and since I'm in so often most know me by name. I've seen some rude customers on occasion, but the staff have always handled those encounters with professionalism and courtesy. The dining room is always clean and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. Not stuffy, not trashy. Probably not a fancy first date kinda place but I wouldn't rule it out for a more casual occasion. To sum it up. If you are looking for great chicken, at fair prices, served by wonderful people, this is the place to go. read more

The food is okay but I feel like they sacrifice flavor for spice. I got the loaded Mac and cheese, no fries with medium spice. They put what taste like pure cayenne pepper on the top of the Mac and Cheese. I tried the chicken by itself and the flavor is 2/5 it cannot stand alone and relies wayyy to much on the coleslaw to give it any taste.
