We were referred to Ramon from a local restoration company to help us install a "barn style" sliding shower door we had already purchased online from Lowe's. The crew came out on time and they were very friendly. When they were trying to install the door they uncovered it was meant to be screwed into tile and not a cast iron tub as the Lowe's image suggested. He said that most Lowe's contractors would have just installed it and the tub would have ended up cracking, leaking and discoloring over time. We were very frustrated at this point as this was one of the more expensive options to get from Lowe's.
He suggested that we order a custom shower door through them with the right "tracks" and also that we would be able to get the overall glass height a few inches taller which would look better and be easier to get in and out of without ducking. I was thinking at first "oh great, how much extra is this all going to be?!". Great news was we were able to return our other door to Lowe's (after they neatly packed it back up) for a full refund and the price of the custom door installed was only $100 more than the Lowe's setup installed. Well worth the extra money to me! Ramon was easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. He clarified the specific handle we wanted and gave an estimate for order/delivery time. The custom sliding door came in on time and the crew came right at 8am when he said they would. They arrived with smiling faces and were in and out pretty quickly making sure to clean up after themselves. I would 1,000% recommend them.
The only think I would note is that the glass we got has a slight green tint to it but apparently that is very common with glass having something to do with iron in production. It still looks great! read more
