This location is a standalone restaurant in a large plaza with plenty of parking. There isn't any gluten free or vegan options. We were greeted and seated right away. You can tell there are lots of regulars by the way they walked in and grabbed silverware and were greeted by the servers. They bring fresh blueberry muffins to each table. There is a big menu. There isnt a lot of windows but there is a lot of decor to look around at. The food comes out quick. The portion size is appropriate and not alot of leftovers. I really enjoyed my eggs Benedict, the eggs were poached well and the hollandaise was really good. It is worth a stop to check out.

Had such a wonderful experience at Andy's Country Kitchen -- absolutely worth every bit of the wait! Food, service, and ambience -- everything was just perfect. The place has a sweet, cozy, and comfortable vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. We tried the seafood platter, and it was incredible -- everything tasted so fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The sides really elevated the meal, especially the charro beans, which are a must-have with it. Country fried fresh water Catfish was just as good -- juicy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. One of the sweetest touches was the complimentary blueberry muffins while waiting -- soft, fluffy, and honestly the perfect start before the meal. And the desserts... WOW. The cheesecake slice and carrot cake were both absolutely mouthwatering -- rich, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal. The service made the experience even better -- our server Anna was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Just a heads-up: this place is popular for a reason, so expect a 20-30 minute wait, but it's 100% worth it. Plan ahead and go -- you won't regret it! Highly recommend if you're in Corpus Christi!

I loved this food and the vibe here is fantastic and old school. I will come back every time I visit corpus! Locals abound! When I retire I'll be sitting at the breakfast bar with my buddies and coffee!

First time dining here. Rustic decor and they have a train on tracks traveling inside the diner. So neat. Staff is friendly and attentive. Our server was Anna she was helpful and answered all my questions. This place is very popular so arrive early when you go on the weekend. All the food was delicious and not over cooked. Establishment is kept clean. Definitely recommend this place

A cozy country diner charting its origins to a coffee shop founded in Corpus in 1958, with the full-service restaurant opening in 1978, to ownership passed down through their "favorite" veteran waitress. It's filled with family and food that reminds me of home, and a warm blueberry muffin served with every seating. Servers dressed in pink for October's breast cancer awareness bustle around the kitchen that remains busy but collegial, taking care of guests like good neighbors. I was steered towards one of my old favorites - Chicken & Waffle (a Texas classic!) with juicy chicken strips in lightly peppered batter contrasting with a crisp Belgian ("Andy's") waffle and fresh maple syrup. Cream gravy, if you please, and Strawberry Shortcake if you're traveling with an extra sweet tooth! P.S. The hashbrowns really are ALL that!

Wait was brief despite being full. Hostess and waitress provided excellent service. The food was good but not great. My partner and I shared the breakfast enchiladas with hasbrowns, beans, and toast. This had potential, but it was not hot enough (temperature-wise) for me nor did they have a hot version of salsa. However, the enchiladas were solid Tex- Mex. Our son ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was in the form of tenders and they had a tasty breading. He was pleased. We have been here in the past and will return.

I know this is a staple in Corpus, but the last few times we've been here, it's only gone downhill which it's a little sad because this used to be our go to place for breakfast on the weekends. The muffins are a nice little treat while we wait for our food. We normally go here for the Chicken Fried Steak, and the most recent time we came, I couldn't even finish it. When our food got to our table, the first time I noticed was the amount of grease on our steak. I had to use a couple napkins to dab off the grease. I also noticed how sloppy it is when it came to plating, I'm not saying it needs to be some kind of Michelin star plating, but the hashbrowns seems like it just gets thrown onto the plate, and half the time there are hardly any crispy edges to them. I don't think we will be coming back nor recommending this place here anymore.

I really dig this place, i've been here a few times now & each time the service was very homey & friendly. the place itself gives small town diner vibes, & i'm here for it! the wait can be a bit long especially on the weekends, but i feel it's worth the wait with the food coming out nice and hot & their coffee really hitting the spot each time! i've had omelettes, waffles, & this recent time the country fried chicken with potatoes & overeasy eggs , & i tell ya, the breading *chef's kiss* is order that again 10 fold cause, my word... so so delicious!! Check it out sometime during the week when ya can if you don't want a long wait! if you have the time, i say go for it the weekend then!

I don't know how this place has 4.5 stars. I would give it 2.5 stars at best. Don't get me wrong the service is good and our server was nice, but our food was not good. I had such high expectations, but my significant other and I left a little disappointed with the food. We went for brunch and tried their eggs Benedict, french toast, and beef nachos. The eggs were not poached properly- the yolk was very hard. The french toast was nothing special. I could make a better tasting french toast at home. The beef nachos also did not taste good and only served my significant other like 10 chips?! They also gave you complimentary blueberry muffins while you wait, but the muffin was dry and there were just tiny specks of blueberries. Overall the food was just not flavorful and not 4.5 stars worthy. Unfortunately, I personally would not recommend or go back if visiting CC, TX again :/

Wonderful home cooking. We were seated and noticed a model train in the ceiling. Really cool as it travelled around They brought us warm blueberry muffins before we ordered. My wife had the waffle (they have real maple Syrup) and I had short stack blueberry pancakes. Both well done. I got the hash browns and added green peppers and onions and jalapeños. Just wow. This is a "local" place, not a tourist restaurant. Omar was fast and efficient on coffee and keeping the water refilled. You want a good inexpensive breakfast? You want to eat here. Our second visit I got the enchiladas without the chili as I am vegetarian. Picture attached. Excellent second visit. Their cook knows what they are doing.

Amazing place. Food was perfectly cooked and delicious even when we asked for modifications - perfectly done. Service was perfect. Every future waitress in America should spend a week with Michelle to learn what exceptional service is. Can't say enough nice things about this place - food service ambience- it is an absolute gem

The food was excellent at Andy's restaurant. Excellent coffee, the best biscuits and gravy I ever ate and very pleasant service. On my second visit I had French toast. It was very, very good.

I totally forgot the names of our meals, but the food was oh so delicious . I can't wait to return on our next visit. The chicken dish (according to hubby) was excellent. The chicken was well-seasoned, moist, and perfectly cooked. The vegetables and rice were a great complement to the meal, offering a fresh balance to the plate. Highly recommended for anyone who visits! The beef stew was spicy and delicious, packed with bold flavors that cleared up my sinuses with every bite. After three days of bland food during this visit, it was a welcome relief to my palate. The beans and rice paired well with the stew, and I would have brought back leftovers if I were home!
