So good I had to go twice. The staff is very friendly, making Linda's feel extra homey. Even though I was impressed with my dine in experience, I was blown away by my togo experience! The worst deprive thru service..the guy who took my order was nice but after that omg...first the guy after tried to give me one taco (I order 2 bean bacon and egg) said I only got charged for one..I said nope pd $8 So i waited 10 minutes Almost drove off but checked and they gave me 2 bean and bacon So I went inside and the lady at register was so rude..dismissed me to the side and the guy who came was also rude and just took my bag and came back with another bag no sorry or anything..I get it yall r busy but its ridiculous how yall treat customers..I was the only in there with wrong orders. A Timeless Favorite My family and I have been going to Linda's Mexican Restaurant for over 20 years, and it has never disappointed. Every visit feels like eating in my grandma's kitchen--the food is always authentic, flavorful, and consistent. The flour tortillas are top-notch--thick, flavorful, and leave a slight, satisfying residue on your hands. But my personal favorite is the corn tortillas. Unlike the usual small ones you find elsewhere, these are the same size and weight as the flour, making every bite more satisfying. The pricing is incredibly reasonable. For four plates and drinks, we paid just $47--a great deal considering the quality and portions. Even after moving away from Corpus 10 years ago, Linda's remains a must-visit whenever I'm back home, even if it's just a quick stop at the drive-thru. Dined in for breakfast and had the green chicken enchiladas (3) plate with rice and refried beans (charro beans not available at the time) and everything was great, generous portions of tender shredded chicken filling, perfectly melted cheese and amount of tomatillo sauce, not greasy at all. It seemed to be super fresh which is surprising for a 7am order of enchiladas (they often taste like a quick microwave job of last night's batch at some places in the morning, cough-Acapulco-cough). Did I mention their fluffy hot flour tortillas were top notch? Great price and speedy service, albeit I was the only one inside, although they had some cars in the drive thru. I also grabbed a carne guisada taco to-go - very tender chunks, but not really anything to repeat for me. (Everyone needs to call them and request that they get on DD for delivery!) 4.6/5 Update: the quality from the drive thru is decidedly less (3.8/5). read more

Traveling to Corpus Christi for work and it was recommended to check this local Mexican place out for dinner. I have already been twice! This place is fantastic and extremely cheap. This is by no means a fancy Mexican restaurant. It's extremely old and most of the menu items you pick from photos. Each time I have gotten the taco plate that comes with rice and beans. The portions and quality of food have to be the best Mexican I've had in quite some time. If you are in the Corpus area, I'd highly recommend stopping in here for breakfast, lunch or dinner! read more

This establishment has been serving Corpus Christi for many years and is one of few surviving Mexican restaurants that is consist with portions and taste. Nothing like homemade tortillas that are ordered on their own because they are just that good. Breakfast is hardy and one goes away with a clean plate. Lunch and Dinner are also the same; with portions served like one was at home. Service is good, but at times the ladies can be too quick that they lose the order because of how packed this place can get and the cliental that sits forever at a table that one is waiting on. The place is clean, and owner is making sure that everything is run right. Make it a point to dine here. You will not be disappointed. read more

All I can say is a restaurant in a third world country with limited cooking appliances and utensils can make better food than this place by far. Bathrooms did not work so no reason to bother using them. Not much else I can say good luck with your visit I guess. read more

Ordered the migas plate. The portions of potatoes and beans were generous, but the migas were composed mostly of tortilla strips. It was like picking bits of egg and a few chopped veggies from a haystack of chips. My partner got pancakes and sausage, which he reported were okay. What a great find while we were in Corpus. The staff was extremely nice the moment I walked through the door. I ordered the carne al pastor. Normally I'm not one who leaves food on his plate but the portion size was huge. I enjoyed the flavor of everything from the pastor to the fresh tortillas they bring you. This little taqueria blows the doors form all the over priced restaurants in CC,TX!! The service was great, food was very delicious, and prices were great! I ordered the barbacoa tacos, all meat, no grease with fresh onion & cilantro. The salsa was the best, my whole family loved the food. I overpaid at a top restaurant that couldn't even serve us hot food. Sad, should've came here, wouldn't have minded coming here twice! We plan to come back again when in CC,TX. Thought I'd trust the rating on Yelp and came to check the place out. It's been 40min+ and my order has yet to come out. Even as I'm sitting here writing this I'm contemplating leaving and canceling the order as I've lost a great amount of my time here, and my plans for the night are pretty much ruined. Several staff members seem to be present and only 4 other customers were in the dine in area. Chips and salsa taste pretty generic. Update food just came out, beans and rice cold, and fajitas lukewarm, I picked at what I couldn't eat and left, as I already lost almost an hour of my time. Save your money folks. Was wanting to find a good puffy taco and this place was recommended on a local site. The tacos were good but a little greasy which may be unavoidable for puffy tacos. The cheese was a shredded American but I liked it. Tried the carne guisada and it was good but a little red and I prefer the brown sauce. The tortilla was excellent and their charro beans were some of the best I have ever tried! Definitely would eat here again. read more

Why did it take me so long to try this place? Seriously legit Mexican breakfast. I ordered the #8 which was eggs, tamales, papas & frijoles with two flour tortillas. The tortillas, beans and tamales were perfection. They definitely use a quality fat source in the beans (bacon grease most likely) as they were quite delicious. I actually didn't want papas and the menu had said sour cream but did not say papas, so I just skipped them. The eggs were pretty standard but plopped into a perfectly executed warm tortilla with some frijoles they made a terrific taco. Kiddo enjoyed his pancakes, eggs and bacon as well. The place was pretty busy and service pretty standard, it took awhile for the food to arrive probably due to being busy but not crazily slow. I'd have preferred fountain sodas to canned but that's a personal preference. Prices are extremely reasonable. Linda's will definitely make it into the breakfast rotation when I'm in town. read more

My food was served, then I had to wait for the waitress, then wait for the utensils. 5 mins of calming the hungry screaming toddler and watching our food cool down was not very cool. Same thing happened to the table next to me. 4 - they ran out of cups, and my coffee was served in a styrofoam cup with a plastic spoon. It tasted like plastic and I didn't enjoy it. When I saw that I was charged $4 for it, I asked the waitress to strike it from my bill, which she did. Individually these things were not a big deal, but overall it was just not great. I believe the waitress was just overwhelmed and doing her best.

It came across as if she assumed we couldn't afford it or didn't know what we were ordering. There was no reason to question our order, and it made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We came to enjoy a nice meal, not to feel judged. It's disappointing because the food was excellent, but customer service is just as important. I hope management addresses this so other guests don't have a similar experience.

This place always forgets to put food in carry out orders and the staff including managers never want to help when you call them and tell them that they didn't include some of the order. They also have roaches and the male manager is rude as hell. From now on my family and I will go to La Hacienda on Staples. Way better option. read more

Went to try this place out and decided to go to the drive thru well the man was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Then when I got my tacos the gay man was still rude he acted as if he was better then me. I will never go back to this restaurant again.
