The flour tortillas are house made and very soft and fluffy. I ordered corn tortillas with my lengua tacos one time and they asked, "Do you want store bought or home made?" Is that a real question? Salsa is goofy in the Styrofoam cup, but here's a tip... you can ask for green sauce or a hotter red sauce they are both better than what you initially get. Service is Jimmy Johns fast. Don't plan on having a conversation while you wait for your food. I ordered and within 3 minutes my food came out piping hot. Fantastic flavors and extremely filling. You wont leave hungry. My only nitpick gripe would be the tamales are really good but you can only get them on Leon's Plate. I would love a combo with 1 tamale and 2 tacos of your choice with rice and beans. Best part is the price. I got the Leon's plate and a large Margarita and my tab was $13.52 + tip. Hell yeah...

He commented that carne guisada was overcooked, I tasted and agreed. I put this place to the true test by ordering menudo... and they failed. Menudo tasted like they didn't wash tripas after parboiling them. Each bite was initially good follow up by an uncomfortable, dirty aftertaste. My verdict: not bad, just mid. The cheese enchiladas? Simple, but executed perfectly! They were reminiscent of a local place I used to frequent when I was a kid, and have ever since compared all enchiladas to. Rarely do I find a good match, but to my surprise El Camino delivered. As with other businesses in the area, expect to find street parking and to take a bit of a stroll (absolutely worth it when you pop into other places along the way and make an event of it).
