We found this little gem while leaving Port Aransas. The line was down the road, which was a pretty good sign! Although the line was long, they do a great job of getting your food in a timely manner. The side of the building has several menus that you can order from. Their menu is vast! A young lady was outside taking orders. She was kind and very thorough with taking our order and repeated our order back to us for accuracy. We may have waited 10-15 mins total which was not bad at all. The man at the window greeted us with a smile, took our payment, and had our food ready to go. We ordered a bacon, egg, cheese, and bean burrito and 2 tacos with potatoes, eggs, cheese and beans. Cheerful little place with friendly staff. The chips include both corn and flour, which is pretty unique. Four kinds of salsa and half a dozen agua frescas (watermelon is pretty yummy). Huge menu with a variety of both breakfast and lunch options. Definitely order a tacos de trumpo platter for the table. It's full platter of corn tortillas piled with pastor and pineapple. We've been working here for 6 months and unfortunately just discovered this place. Easily the best food around and you can get lunch for breakfast which I like. I got some of the best birria tacos I've ever had and a cup of coffee around 9am one Saturday morning. My coworker and I just went back for a second time. WOW WOW WOW!!! Off the top, out that gate... 2 things!!!! Great food and unbelievable service. You know those sittings where everything goes just right... this was it for us. There were 8 of us and our waitress served us all and didn't miss a beat. Food came out fast and fresh and was soooo delicious. I had some migas a la mexicana. Which simply means done-up with some pico de gallo and a pancake. My wife had a normal morning breakfast plate- eggs, bacon and a short stack that was scrumptious. Rest of the fam had various dishes - sorry didn't get pics. Do Not judge this book just by the cover. Homemade tortillas, fluffy eggs, smooth refried beans, and my father-in-laws chicarrones looked on point (he's not a sharer... so I didn't even ask!! . JUST KIDDING fil if you ever read this!!). Coffee was what you'd expect from a Mexican rr, good not great. Service was amazing. Made you feel like you were sitting at mamas table! Been jacketing for a good beef fajita taco . This place have cooked it to perfection!! Loved it. Didn't take a pic because it smelled amazing and that's Ed amazing. Live the atmosphere. We stopped by for breakfast before heading out for a day of fishing. We're so glad we did! We went to the drive up, ordered breakfast burritos, they come just about anyway you like them. The burritos were fantastic, homemade tortillas as well as salsa and pico de gallo. I couldn't believe they only charge $2.00 for each burrito. They are worth much more. Only problem is that one of my orders wasn't correct, but at least the item was there and not missing like some other places. Be prepared to wait in line, when I went it was out into the street. I did get some tacos to go and there was a mishap with them forgetting to add the eggs but they immediately recognized their mistake and replaced the tacos without pause. Unfortunately, the food here is delicious. We ordered a lunch plate and got our food home and noticed something tasted funny. Hands down, the best Mexican food around the Aransas Pass area. I'm from Las Vegas and it's hard to find good authentic "grandma style" Mexican food. But this place hits the spot every time. Not to mention their pastries are oh so good as well. Just drive by this place around lunch time, especially on the weekends and you'll see the cars lined up along the street, just waiting to order and their parking lot is always packed. You will not be disappointed. Their soups and Birria tacos (tender stew like shredded beef) with a side of the beef broth for dipping those tacos are a must try. Their food says it all. read more

Great taste just on the small side not very much meat .Brother used to work there owner keeps the waitress tips . The owner is always at the register doesn't allow employees to handle any money . Only family members work the cash registers . Good service and food just don't like the idea of waitress don't get to keep their hard earned tips .My family member said employees weren't allowed breaks only the owner and his family could sit down and have a meal or break . A classic tacqueria that has become a local favorite. Run by a family with family cooking and service, everything is made on-site and fresh. Very good pastor, barbacoa, lengua, but the homemade tortillas and frijoles refritos really make everything good. Very good breakfast, at lunc look for daily specials and be patient with the service as they have as many people in the drive thru line as they do at the tables inside. Nothing fancy, just delicious food. To start with, the chips are homemade and excellent, but the red salsa is to die for, the green is tasty. Don't let the exterior run you off! Great inexpensive Tex-Mex. Hubbie had beef enchiladas which he really liked & I had the crazy chalupas. The "crazy" variety has melted cheese poured on top. YUM'. Salsa good. Chips made in house but a little too thick for our liking. Got a side of guacamole which was fresh and pure avocado w/none of that nasty preservative!! We like a little more S&P but that is easily fixed. Huge iced teas so the no free refills was not a problem. They also come in styrofoam so you can take it with you. The flour tortillas we were served were exactly on point and I think probably the best I've ever had!
