Empty! Poor service! Hard tortillas! Food was horrible but we were hungry. Food tasted like leftovers, and mushy. The salsas were just plain pitiful!!! One waitress, and terrible service!!! We were the only ones there and the food took 20 minutes! That lady that stands behind the counter with the white hair and dark skin, looks like she's angry, never came over to ask if we needed anything. NEVER AGAIN!!! One of a billion Tex-Mex in Corpus, but actually a pretty decent visit. Wife and I stopped for breakfast and the service, quality of the food and the location were all better than the average. Huevos Rancheros were good (we both got them) and would do it again. Decently large menu and next time we're feeling Tex-Mex and in the area, we'll definitely come back. read more

Dude!!!! The molleja taco I had today was spot on!!!! Crispy just right, crispy outside nice and tender inside. I had it with rice and guac, wow!!!!! That was a great taco. Today we had a bad experience at the restaurant. Usually the food is good, but today not so much. When I decided not to keep the order I placed and had 1 bite and place a new order in , the owner came to or table and told me that they would not exchange the order and that I would be charged for my first plate . I was unhappy with the spices in the sauce and thought it was way to hot while the rest of the plate was cold. I was more than willing to pay for the first plate, but the way the owner spoke to me was harsh. At the end, I paid for all the plates for our large party and left a tip. I will probably not return. I always go to the Saratoga location as it is close to my home. I went today on my lunch break mind you from the other side of town. I go for the lemonade it is always great! However, I decided to get a carne asada taco. First let me say it rare I complain about food but this taco every bite tasted like burnt rubber meat very dry like it was over boiled or something. Disgusting! I called to let them know. I spoke to a Gloria who said I can it back but again I was on my way back to work from the other side of town. she said o could send her a picture of the food because she would need to show the cook and once I did that she would give me a call back. I sent the picture but never got a call back. I wasn't looking for a refund or a remake but some acknowledgment of my frustration that I drove across town for one, for two if anyone knows this place, they know these taco's are not cheap but instead I got a feeling of oh well we don't care. needless to say I will be looking for a new restaurant in my area. read more

Terrible manager! I ordered egg, bean and potato taco. When it was brought I saw FRIED potatoes in it and asked instead to have grilled potatoes. She told me they don't make grilled potatoes because it takes an hour (really?!) and they would get burned. I said thats fine, that's how I'm asking for them. She said they aren't grilling the potatoes and I'd have to pay for the taco that was brought to me. I replied that that is terrible they wont cook the breakfast the way the customer wanted! I got up, paid the last $5.61 I'd ever pay to her and said I'd never be back and wouldn't recommend their restaurant ever again! Terrible! read more

My absolute fave is the chicharrón con huevo a la mexicana taco!!! That is the most delicious taco I have ever had! But, all of the tacos, from the carne guisada to the bacon, are super delicious! The staff is absolutely awesome and we've never had a bad meal or bad service. read more

This place is very good!!! We stop here almost every Sunday morning since it is right across the street from our church. The food has always been great and the breakfast taquitos are HUGE!!! The staff is friendly. A little bit of a wait for drive through but the food is worth it!!! read more

Drive thru service is horrible. They don't use the intercom so you can't order til you're at the window. Cars are constantly leaving due to long waits or no service at all. I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes and no one took my order. No food is that good. Luckily there is another restaurant in the next parking lot. This has been going on at least a year. Beans were horrible no taste, they seemed to be rotten. Spoke to owner and she denied they were bad. She said she was eating them as we spoke and as I mentioned to her there were 4 Mexicans who were on this side eating them and there was definitely something wrong with that batch. Everyone here said they were bad......I've been there before and they were fine. But sadly if this is what they taste like from here on not good. I didn't want a refund just giving them heads up in case they were rotten they could make people sick. But didn't like their initial response and that's why I'm writing this review. First time at this restaurant and had the worst time. Were waiting over 45 min for meal, then a young man comes over and asks what we ordered. Turns out they put another ticket in front of ours and hadn't seen it. Then they bring out my granddaughter's taco and it had the wrong ingredients, chorizo,egg and cheese and they brought her chorizo,egg and beans, I ordered a combination plate, and they brought me an enchilada plate. Didn't like the enchiladas, no flavor. Maybe because I was already upset about our order but the service was very poor. read more

The food is always awesome! I would give the food 5 stars, but the service I experienced this morning was dreadful. I walked in to place an order to go and there was already some people standing in front of me at the register waiting to be helped and this server was standing behind the bar doing her makeup. She looked over and saw us, rolled her eyes and went back to doing her makeup. Then she grumpily walked over to the register, didn't apologize for the wait, didn't say hello, not a smile, nothing. And then she was very short and rude when speaking. She seamed very annoyed and just stood there popping her gum. This place was one of my favs...but it's sad that they have such an unfriendly staff. Not necessarily all the staff but maybe that manager that runs the cash registers. We went there and I order a potato and egg taco with carne gisada gray came home and took a bite, there were egg shells in it GROSS! I had already crunched on one in my first bite and then took another bite only to feel another one. My husband took it back and asked for another taco because I hate egg shells in my taco. I wanted another taco that didn't have eggs in it and the lady (I'm assuming the manager) took the taco back to the serving area and began to poke threw it and told my husband that she couldn't find any egg shells. I clearly left the large egg shell on top of the taco so they could see it. At that point my husband is upset and tells her to just give him his money back. She tells my husband that they use fresh eggs and that it happens sometimes. Fresh eggs or not that should never be an issue it's gross I don't want to be eating egg shells in my food.
