I brought my car to Andy Mohr for a simple maintenance visit and left with a deep scratch on my center console that was not there before. When I first contacted them, they denied any responsibility and kept insisting nothing happened until I finally reached the General Manager, who agreed to pay for the repair. But when I followed up with the Service Manager, he just kept copying and pasting the same response with new vendor dates and never once addressed my actual concerns. What made it worse was that they claimed to review the camera footage and said nothing happened -- yet when I personally requested to see the footage, they suddenly told me there was a "server issue" and the footage couldn't be obtained. After I kept pushing for answers, they backed out of fixing the damage and even shared one of my private emails with an employee (who is also my family), which caused unnecessary conflict at home. Not many words left to describe our recent visit Andy Mohr Kia. Led by Joe Kapitan this organization literally runs like a fine tuned machine! I honestly look for flaws when I visit the showroom and can't find any. Everyone is so well versed and knowledgeable you can't go wrong no matter who you deal with. On this particular visit my wife wanted to trade her 2023 Sportage and was undecided about going to another suv, Sorento. Initially we were met by one of the skilled managers Jeremie, he is one of the best at making your feel comfortable and putting your mind at ease assuring you everything will be done within their power to get the car you need. Next, we were pleasantly greeted by sales rep Moises Villa. He listened patiently with my wife requests. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer. He provided history on every vehicle we questioned him on and he didn't miss a beat. What he didn't know while my wife was asking him questions I was researching to confirm his responses. Needless to say he passed with flying colors. Finally, we completed the process setting down with one of the financial managers. Although Ron recently was promoted you could never tell. He was informative and efficient. Moises walked us to the new Sorento for the finishing touches to ensure we transferred all items. He left his card that included his phone number and instructed us to call should we have any further questions. He is so customer service oriented you really hated to leave. On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, my son (his first major purchase) recently purchased a new vehicle, 2025 Kia K5, from Andy Mohr Kia in Avon, Indiana. From the moment he picked the vehicle up from the dealership he's had problems with the Safety System. My son immediately returned the vehicle the next day and was given a loaner vehicle. The following are the error codes from the Safety System: Codes: C284287; C160A88; C183787 In addition to the error codes listed, there is another code for a loose pin in the bumper harness. Several days later the service department contacted my son indicating the Safety System issues had been resolved. However, within a day of driving the vehicle the same issue with the Safety System recurred. Upon returning the vehicle back to the service department for the second time the technicians were not successful in fixing the issues and had to contact Kia's Corporate Office for further assistance from Kia's engineers. On Monday, June 23, 2025 my son returned to the dealership regarding the progress of the repairs. The technicians still have not been able to resolve the issues. At that time Andy Mohr's management team asked for another opportunity to address the problem. My son agreed to give them until the end of the week to resolve the issue. On Friday, June 28, 2025 both my son and brother returned to Andy Mohr Kia to discuss the progress and a resolution. During that time my son and brother expressed to Andy Mohr's management team their concerns regarding the continued problems with the Safety System and that my son no longer wanted the vehicle which has approximately 75 miles. My son submitted three stock numbers of vehicles currently on Andy Mohr's lot that he would be interested in driving. However, Andy Mohr's management team continues to use stall tactics and refers back to Kia's Corporate Office as needing to resolve the issue. It was further communicated to my family by the General Manager, Joe Kapitan, "You bought the car you own it." Additionally stating, "It's not Andy Mohr's KIA responsibility, however, it's the customer responsibility to contact the manufacturer (Kia) and to get them involved in rectifying the problem." In addition, Joe Kapitan, the General Manager, tells my son and brother that he will not put my son into another vehicle because if he takes the vehicle back it would be considered a used vehicle. As I mentioned before my son has not had the vehicle in his possession for any extended amount of time and the vehicle has been in the service department for the majority of the time. Furthermore, my brother asked to speak with someone above the general manager and was given a name of Erik Sperspud. My brother has attempted to reach out to him but to date has not received a return phone call. My son has followed all of their instructions including contacting Kia's Corporate Office and has been extremely patient. Mind you my son has not had the car in his possession for any extended amount of time. Meanwhile, the 72 hours option to resend the contact has passed and he will have a payment due soon. To date the vehicle has not been fixed and it remains at the dealership. Other family members have purchased vehicles from both Andy Mohr Nissan and Kia. Our expectation from Andy Mohr's dealerships is that they stand by the products they sell. As I am writing this review, Andy Mohr Kia's management has called my son and requested that he return the loaner car because we have posted truthful and honest reviews. The "Owner" has responded to a previous review regarding this situation and has stated, "He understands our frustration." But by requesting unless we delete the post my son has to return the loaner vehicle because we have posted truthful and honest reviews and rated my son's experience as a "One Star" is not considered worthy of understanding any of our frustrations at all. Please know as a concerned mother I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau of Indiana and the Indiana Attorney General's Office. read more

I was recently in at Andy Mohr Kia and my experience was strictly for purchasing a used car. I had set up a time to review the car at the dealership and Caiden had it ready up front arrival. I completed a short form and the got my drivers license details. The test drive went well and after checking my wife I decided to see about buying the car. I had a price in mind for the vehicle and Caiden and I discussed that and we came up with a fair price. I put down my offer and talked it over with the manager Cory who agreed. There really was no long drawn out discussions and they were easy to deal with on this purchase. I was paying cash so that made the finance / paperwork quick and easy. They had very nice digital tables to do the paperwork and it was very fast. They do offer a few optional warranties but I decided to not add those on. I took a bus 5 hours from St Louis to buy a car here that broke down on me just 2 HOURS after I left the dealership on a rural Illinois highway at night- I contacted them immediately and they told me I bought the car "as-is" and wished me luck getting home. I was over 100 miles from home- It took me 27 hours and every dime I had in towing fees to get home. I called and asked for a manager as soon as they opened Monday morning- he could not care less and told me "there is nothing we can do" because I live out of town except to bring the car BACK to them for a trade-out...completely at my expense! In other words, pay to have it towed again, this time 234 miles. When I told him this isn't right, he actually bragged about what a good reputation they had! When I began to look over the engine and flush the radiator, over a gallon of stop-leak and old coolant the consistency of mud came out of the engine, as pictured! I went in to get my car checked out since I felt as though there was something off. The person who helped me was very kind and patient. She guided me towards the waiting room while they checked out my car. The place was very clean and had drinks available, tv and magazines for entertainment, as well as wifi. While I waited, I also used the bathroom which was clean. Everyone there was nice and helpful as well. While they checked my car to see if it required a realignment, they saw that it wasn't needed. However, they did an inspection to see if they missed anything. I appreciated them asking me if I had time for an inspection and letting me know the exact time of how long it would take. Once they checked it out, they let me know via text and I was able to easily sign off and head home. Third time at this Kia and there's always an issue. Very unprofessional and can't be trusted. Avoid advisor Halie, breaks policy and illustrates prejudices, aggression, and unprofessionalism. Zero transparent communication initiated, Kept our vehicle for over a week with zero communication to tell us they don't have anyone for repairs for almost another month and will need to reschedule yet again all while we are chasing for results given the back and fourth shenanigans. Another month came and went. Horrible service! Zero progress. Because of Andy Mohr kia, been driving months now on a vehicle that could place us in a horrible accident given its current state because of their poor operations and neglect only to find out repair needs were falsified. Parts aren't broken. How convenient fear is installed to get money out of us. It's our only vehicle quit playing games. They have now had the part a month with no service and ridiculous excuses. I have received multiple different answers on that also. One minute they have the part next they don't. Before all that, wasnt scheduled which is mandatory, and took it upon themselves to do things without customer authorization or presence of the vehicle, adding unauthorized charges when no work had been done, burning us again, Really put us in a horrible situation. When addressed, we just received a ton of gaslighting and indifference and more dishonesty. Gm is finally involved. Should have a web cam at all times I tell ya. I went to the dealership this week to have an oil leak checked out. It ended up being an oil pressure switch. A $12 dollar part and auto zone. The dealership said it was going to cost me $2,100 in parts plus $700 in labor. My buddy, which is a certified mechanic at another dealership, fixed for me. The parts cost me $75. I had a tail light busted out they looked at my car, and told me to repair it, they needed to order parts and it would take about 2 days or so to come in. A week later, I hear nothing and when I call them, they say the parts are in. Then a few days later, they say they provided me an incorrect quote and that my ENTIRE bumper needs to be replaced and it will not be 400 but 1400 and the wrong part was ordered. I take a day to think about it and decided I will proceed and just submit the claim to my insurance. Now all the sudden, they don't do that work and I need to go to a body shop. They took no ownership of thier miscommunication or my wasted time. Very disappointed. I had used this dealership before but this degree of poor communication is not acceptable. read more

But had to rerun because a live under the car wasn't attached correctly. That was corrected and I was in my way. About 50 miles later the same problem occurred. Just don't do it. I have had 2 Kia's from here that have had transmission/engine issues. Engine problems with a Sportage at 13Ok and the other was the transmission on an optima under 75k miles. They will take you for everything you have and in return they will give you headaches and shady salesmanship! They quoted $500 for a new window switch but it had only fallen into the door panel. Oh, and don't forget the $200 dollar diagnostic fee!! Kia has a lifetime warranty on certain engines, but Kia corporate told me to "just keep driving it until the engine seizes, and until then, they are unable to honor the warranty." The engine warranty only covers connecting rod bearing failure- meaning that all of the mechanical issues stemming from the underlying manufacturing defect are not covered and it will be coming out of your pocket. Kia as a company is totally aware of the problem and has several lawsuits against them. Kia won't correct it until you are left with a car that is entirely out of service! I hope you don't have anywhere you plan on going if you buy a Kia because there's a good chance it wont get you there. Just don't do it . read more

I swear this was just a either a bad day for car shopping or this whole row of dealerships doesn't want our business. We had just visited Hare Honda & Ray Skillman Hyundai and left those places with a bad taste in our mouth. I parked in the front of the dealership building and there was a group of 4 sales people hanging out talking. They just looked at us, which made me feel uncomfortable, and didn't bother to come and ask us what we were looking for. So we wandered around the lot, which seemed to only have used cars and walked back to the front lot and still nobody came to talk to us. Also my credit rating was awful low! ( years of divorces etc.) but by holly andy mohr guys treated me like a REAL RICH PERSON! Lol and believe it or not they actually got me a 2021 SELTOS in mint condition with only 11,009 miles on it in bright yellowish green!! I LOVE IT AND MY SCore WAS POOR! They lowered my interest rate too altho my payments went up ( it's a better car)! I did make 48 on time payments and that's what saved me I believe! We had been communicating with someone named Alex, and as soon as we walked in, we were passed off to some schmuck named Solar (pronounced So-Lahr). He started the whole missing keys, used car manager will be right here BS almost immediately. My wife and I noticed the "used car manager" scarfing pizza in the office. I damn near had to threaten the dude to get our keys back so we could leave. The best part was, when I told him thanks for wasting my time, he said likewise. I was wondering if he meant it as a smart ass comment or he was a programmed robot. Dude was terrible. Best part of this shithole dealership occurred about 6months ago. I took my 20 year old daughter there to look at a used Subaru Crosstrek. As we were coming back in from taking a test drive, we told the sales person we were going to think about it for an hour. Apparently while we were gone, they planted one of their service techs or porters in a seat and told him to pretend he was there also looking at the car. They pointed to him and said "he's also here and is really serious about that Crosstrek". I went over and said "are you looking at the Outback as well? It's really nice". I arrived to pick up my vehicle from the service center and it was not available . Sat and chatted with the lady from the service department for a while, and then it appeared. When it arrived the guy who brought it up left the vehicle and took the key with him. I went back in to get it and was in my way to greenfield. I arrived in town, purchased a few things, and when I opened my center console I found that it was filled just a little under half way with water. Someone absolutely knew that was the case because it was shut when I entered the car and had to have been open to get water inside. My registration, head phones, remotes for the tvs, and several other items were ruined!! upon further inspection, I found there is mold growing in a door, finger nails in the back floorboar, coke spilled in the front and dried . This vehicle was freshly cleaned RIGHT BEFORE DROP OFF!! Andy Mohr had my vehicle for WEEKS! The car was as left open in some way in the rain. Also, someone had pop in the vehicle, and apparently felt free to either bite or cut off their finger nails in my car. This vehicle cast over $30,000! This all comes after finding a major problem with our vehicles timing very shortly after it was purchased here. Which leads me to believe they knowingly sold it to us this way. The ruined items, the fact that my car was there for weeks, and the finger nails and coke spill in a car that was cleaned right before it was delivered for service are truly unacceptable. I wouldn't suggest purchasing a vehicle here. It's been a mess from the start. Sad news is this is my first experience. read more

I am only writing about the Service department experience. I personally don't own a Kia vehicle nor do I live in this State. I took in my brother's vehicle for service as he is currently sick. He needed an oil change. I called this morning for appointment. I spoke with Morgan on the phone. She was extremely pleasant. She made an appointment for me and informed me that there is a recall part on his vehicle . He needed an inhibitor switch replacement. She checked to make sure it was in stock and scheduled enough time to service the vehicle. Upon arrival, I was a little confused. In California, we can clearly see the service department. In this case, you have to drive up to a service garage,which it is closed. When you get up there, it will automatically open and you drive yourself in. Super interesting I must say, I guess it is to shield you from the weather here. After I parked, I walked up to the counter and I met service advisor-Thomas Bemis. He was nice and showed me around the waiting lounge. This place is fairly new and very clean. They had complimentary snacks, coffee, and wireless internet access. They also have a workspace to plug in your own computer. I waited for 2 hours for this service to be done. I was quoted $39.95 for the oil change. Even without me asking, they gave me a $10 off coupon. How nice are they? They even washed his car. It was a pleasant experience here. Two thumbs up from this California girl:) read more
