Wonderful oasis right in the middle of everything. Beautiful big old key lime and palm trees surround the internal shared patio poolside and breakfast and happy hour spot. Owners are friendly and accommodating and the restaurant Viva across the street is a fun place to start a day drinking walk about or delicious brunch. Resort rooms are beautiful, clean and very air conditioned which were perfect for an afternoon siesta. Outlets are the only limitation but that's common in Key West. Pack a power strip and purchase reef safe sunscreen. CVS right around corner.

This place is on the Duval strip but hidden enough to get restful night of sleep. It seemed like most of the people that were staying this past weekend are repeat customers :) Very friendly staff and so are the cats that were chilling in the premises. The property is also right behind the Hemingway house. We stayed at the Malaga room with queen size bed, sofabed and private patio where you can glance at the Hemingway house. Office is open from 9am-6pm so try to get there early if not, they will leave the key for you with instructions. Our room is clean and spacious enough. Bathroom has modern amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be coming back.

Our stay was just delightful here! It's a hidden little oasis just off Duval Street. Very quiet and cozy. Adorable courtyard and daily Happy Hour. They even have books to read and sun lotion to use poolside, as well as ice tea and fruit infused water and ice all day to keep hydrated. We enjoyed a view of The Hemingway House's backyard and grounds from our lanai. Manager Lisa was on hand to answer any questions during the day hours or make suggestions of places to visit. A lady I'll just call 'Z' because I don't know how to spell her name, laid out a magnificent spread daily for breakfast. She also cleaned our room daily and did a superb job. We met a lovely couple from the UK who visit every year. Lots of kitties here and there, even a mama hen and her chicks hung out nearby. We are already planning a return trip this summer.

Our stay was perfect! Location was perfect ! We talked with Lisa before and during our stay. The staff were polite and friendly. Perfect spot right off Duval, but without the crazy noises late night. Hidden and nestled between fruit trees and tropical plants! Our room was located in the Eyebrow House which is right around the corner from the main cottage. We had a full kitchen, upper deck, hot tub and living room space. They had all the little things you would need to have a perfect stay. Everything was clean and bright and it really felt like home. PERFECT spot!! We will def be back again!

We had an amazing vacation here before Thanksgiving. Every employee was kind, courteous, and helpful during our stay. The inn is literally next to Hemingway's home and has its own little group of cats that lounge about. We stayed in the Roma, which had tons of space and a gigantic bed. Everything was clean and orderly and we even had our own little porch to relax on. It was a bit secluded which was nice for sleeping at night, but also right off Duval street so everything was walking distance. Every morning, we were provided breakfast and every afternoon there was happy hour with complimentary drinks. I believe the inn was fully booked our first couple of days but it definitely didn't feel crowded at all. This is the only inn we'll stay at when visiting Key West in the future. I absolutely love it.

This was my first time in Key West. My husband and I came down here for a "mini moon" after our wedding. We stayed in the Roma Room. It was extremely cozy. The room was a good size as well as the bathroom. The bed was super comfortable. There is someone that will come in an clean the room as well as give fresh towels if you need. The breakfast provided was mainly continental but every morning there was a special breakfast that one of the workers would make. When we stayed there we had Omelettes one morning, banana pancakes another, and they also offered French toast another day. Their Happy hour by the pool is beer and wine with some bar type snacks. The location is great located right off of Duval Street. It is far enough away where there is not much noise. A few cats roam the property but keep to themselves. You may also see a Rooster by the pool. We went to Key West in September, only downside is that it is the "off season" so some places in Key West are close until October.

Just got back from vacation and we stayed in the Tree Top Suite at the Eyebrow house at Andrews Inn. I was so impressed with the level of service we received. Our room was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Our staff was so helpful and friendly. Not to mention, free breakfast and happy hour every day! It's so close to all the major places to go and see!

The Mermaid & The Alligator is hands-down the best bed-and-breakfast in Key West, and honestly, you'll wish you never had to leave. Housed in a 1904 Victorian mansion right in the heart of Old Town, this independently owned gem has the kind of charm chain hotels only pretend to have. Think wraparound porches, lush tropical gardens, orchids dangling from banyan trees, and a vibe so tranquil you half expect Hemingway to stroll through with a daiquiri. The rooms? Gorgeous. Each one feels personal, with Caribbean-inspired decor, canopy beds, and soft linens that make it way too easy to "accidentally" sleep through your Duval Street plans. Outside, the gardens are pure Key West magic: fountains trickle, palms sway, and yes -- the occasional rooster might strut by like it owns the place. Breakfast here is its own event: fresh tropical fruit, homemade pastries, quiches, and strong coffee served in the garden. It's the kind of peaceful start that makes you consider selling everything, moving here, and writing your memoirs. And because it's independently owned, the hospitality feels personal -- warm, genuine, and full of little touches that make you feel less like a guest and more like a friend who lucked into paradise. The Mermaid & The Alligator isn't just a stay; it's a love letter to Key West itself. Come for the charm, stay for the breakfast, and leave plotting how to "accidentally" extend your trip.
