I have lived in Round Rock since June 2019 and have heard great things about Andice General Store (as a restaurant). Yesterday my friend and I decided to try it. First it isn't that far. We eat in Liberty Hill often and drive into Austin frequently. Andice is a pretty drive about 25 minutes from the North End of Round Rock. Just straight out Williams in Georgetown and you can't miss it. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hamburgers are extremely good. Nothing fancy, but quality meat, fresh veggies, and good fries. They are open nearly every day until about 6:30ish. Yesterday when we were there, it was 82 outside (in July!). We ate in the open air area with picnic tables in a quaint outdoor space. We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches to go. They boxed them up very thoughtfully so the toasted bun wouldn't get soggy and so the pork could be quickly reheated. We brought two of them home for other family members and they were as impressed with their dinner. They serve a wide variety of beer in bottles out of their cooler. We will be back as this is a definite keeper on the Yelp List. read more

Mighty fine burger with excellent customer service. It's a short road trip from ATX but it is worth it if in the mood for burgers and BBQ. Local brews are on hand as well a plethora of sodas to choose. I opted for the green chili burger as recommended by The Daytripper and boy were they right in it being a choice burger. The patty was perfectly grilled as were the green chilis that give it a slight kick and topped off with red onions, tomatoes and lettuce. An option is given to you for the burger to be cut in half or served while; I opted for the half. One of the few places that serves crinkle cut fries, and a side order is served on a tray of its own. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the excellent customer service will bring the food out to ya. I highly recommend. read more

The people really make the place. They are extremely nice and doing a great job here! Nice small town restaurant. Lol they don't even have a sign so we past right by it. Lol The food: everything is really fresh. I have to admit the burger didn't have any flavor. Add some garlic or onions to that hoe you lol. Something. Def needs flavor. The fried are huge! Yuge! You can most definitely share the fries. The burger simply lacked flavor. Maybe I caught them on an off day. I would probably stop back again if I was in the area. Parking was good today as the weather was in the 40's. The service at the counter was okay as the owner was standing there when I asked if they extended a Military Discount and the cashier stated they didn't. I immediately thought to myself that this would be the one and only time I'd have lunch there. The food was delicious (Had the Green Chili Burger and the Fries) and the place was a pretty full. I was lucky to get an empty table at the back of the place where my service dog and I could eat without having to worry about folks walking behind us. Of course had it been warm outside, I would've chosen to eat outside. The owner (an older feller) never acknowledged any customers and guess was just too preoccupied with nothing going on. I won't go there again for the fact of the military discount but I'm sure lots of folks will. I was just disappointed as a Career Veteran that there are lots of Veterans that served and grew up in and around Andice/Florence and this business doesn't extend a mere 10% discount to Veterans, Police and First Responders. read more

True blue country store that makes a fairly good burger. The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was pretty darn good. The fries were really good, fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. It's inconvenient. It's expensive. And it's heavily hyped. You know what? It's completely worth it. Just like there's destination BBQ that's worth the drive, this is the destination burger that's worth the drive. There's a ton of reasons why. First of all, the people are nice and willing to customize your burger any way you want. Second, the place is spotlessly clean. (And the air conditioning is more than a bit crisp.) But the burgers approach perfection. The burger is a bit bigger than a Whataburger, but with a much more substantial serving of beef. The cheese and bacon are also good. The burgers are cooked to perfection and are seasoned as well. The fries are surprisingly good -- and crisp. And the beer battered onion rings manage to defy the laws of onion rings -- because the batter and the onion stay together. They have iced tea to drink and a cooler with plenty of soft drinks. Bottled and draft beers too. And in keeping with the general store motif, they still sell a few packaged chips and cookies as well as a cooler with ice cream products. Wow. Worth the drive. So, this place is like the Millennium Falcon. It doesn't look like much, but it's got it where it counts. This small building looks like a rural gas station or, you know, a "general store." Once inside, there's a display of candies and snacks, some coolers full of bottled drinks, some tables, and a counter. Behind the counter is the menu board full of deceptively simple offerings - Cheeseburger, Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich, etc. Don't be deceived. These burgers are exquisite. They are of impressive size, the toppings look like they came out of an advertisement. The fries? Crinkle-cut and golden crisp. I had to try one, I figured one fry wouldn't mess up my blood sugar too much. It was heaven, since it's been a while since I've tasted a fry. Oh, it was worth the carb. Old me would have summoned two orders of the fries and made a meal out of just those. Between us we had a bacon cheeseburger, a bunless cheeseburger, and a brisket sandwich. All of them were devoured with gusto. We took a bacon cheeseburger home for my son who was mired in homework, and they even sent a handwritten note to him saying they hope he makes it out next time, and that he catches up on homework. The drinks coolers have a vast assortment of old fashioned sodas. My wife had a cherry vanilla soda, my daughter a sour cherry soda, and I grabbed a diet root beer that tasted just like a regular one. I am so sad, this place was SO GREAT. Was a small town, wonderfully greasy fresh food haven. Now... its been sold I guess, its frozen pre-made hamburgers that are gross, its sad fries and just sad altogether. I was so disappointed, we used to go here all the time, stopped going about a year ago and realized, we need to get our butts there. Drove out to andice, got excited for great food, and was let down by prepackaged garbage. SHAME ON YOU whoever bought and is running andice. And OMG, don't eat there chicken fried steak, its absolutely pre-frozen trash, was inedible. The burgers could be eaten, but absolutely not good.
