This little burger establishment I could definitely see on Guy Fieri's drivers dine in and dives. First off top customer service, from placing my order to receiving my meal to checking up to see how everything was like felt like a sit down restaurant, but it's not kudos to the front gal that mastered everything. Fries: crispy, crunchy, hot, fresh, salty, overall great fry. Onion rings: one of the best I've had. Crispy, crunchy, hot, fresh, salty, good onion flavor. Green chile pepper burger: It can go head to head with any burger chain, Hopdoddy or Whataburger. To me it's in the same top tier of burgers. The bun has to be Martins potato bun soft nice chew with a hint of egg flavor. Toasted on both sides so they got it done right. The beef patty has to be 80/20 maybe that's why it's beefy and moist in the center. The mayo mixed with the spicy green peppers adds just layers of flavors. When you bite into it, you get the soft bun immediately you get that kick from the green peppers then you get that creaminess from the mayo, and then it all comes together with that beefy flavor from the patty. The thick cuts of pickles, tomatoes and lettuce really adds freshness that the burger needs because it's very heavy and rich. It has an umami and has that crave factor. They selected the right onions, red, the red onion goes well with the green chile. The zing from the red onions adds more flavor. The meal is not cheap to say, $15 for a burger is up in price but you get what you pay for and to me, based on the location, based on the overall freshness, it's worth it. It's worth paying a higher amount to get a higher valued meal. If you want ranch, you have to ask for it and plus no extra charge. read more

And the customer service? Elite. They treated me like I was the mayor, the sheriff, and the guy who invented burgers all at once. Finally got out to Andice General Store for a burger today. Had heard quite a bit about the burgers. I had the green chili cheeseburger and it was delicious. They're fairly pricey, but it's a big burger. It was well cooked with a very nice bun and fresh veggies. Also had the onion rings- good but on the greasy side. I like them thinner and crispier as a personal preference. They have a wonderful selection of bottled sodas- things you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. The seating inside is communal- not a fan. It was quite crowded - this was a Saturday - and with that type of seating people find ways to NOT make room for you. We chose to eat outside at wooden picnic tables, in 95° heat. The seating - or lack of it - would be my main gripe. I hope that at some point they will enlarge their space and make room for restaurant seating. read more

Open on Saturday evening this which was a surprise. Front of house is always very friendly every time we've stopped here. Every table inside was occupied with only 2 people and each one waited 20 - 30 minutes for food. Onion rings we ordered were overcooked and so were the burgers. There was at least a 15 minute difference between the delivery of the onion rings we ordered and burgers when we would have preferred to be eaten together. Previous visits both food and kitchen service were significantly better. Very worthwhile place but need to manage staffing and kitchen capacity if Saturday evening is going to be ongoing. Solid green chile burger! Just enough green chile to add flavor and not overwhelm. Tried a regular bacon cheeseburger as well and it was not as juicy as I'd have liked. The green chile really makes the burger juicier so I definitely recommend that one. Tasty onion rings too. The kids' quesadilla was yummy too -- my daughter devoured it. Great selection of craft soda, including sarsaparilla. Be careful with some of their grocery items since they might not move as much. Bought a pecan candy and it was hard as a rock plus the plastic wrapping was permanently affixed to the candy. Not edible (very stale) but they were nice and gave us a refund (we chose a beer instead). Friendly service and cozy environment. Both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a bathroom outside. Laura was such a sweetheart - attentive, personable and hospitable. Now, the food was pretty good. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, with fries and a drink. The burger was served fresh and hot, but the fries were lukewarm. That's when Laura insisted on making me a fresh order of fries. They were delicious! Great burgers! The patties are thick and filling with just the right amount of seasoning. Fries and onion rings both crispy and yummy. Based on the food I'd give this place 5 stars, however I'm knocking a star off for value. 2 burgers, fries, ice tea, and Diet Coke came to $55 after tip. I found the Andice general store from a recommendation from friend in the Georgetown Texas area. I was told that this was a great place to get a great burger. That was an excellent recommendation. This little store in a tiny Hamlet is actually a wonderful burger stand. When I walked in the really kind staff was helpful and gave me good advice on what to order. The store has wooden picnic tabless inside and out for sitting at. The food was served quickly and served hot. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was great! The prices were reasonable, and staff was friendly. The little store was well stocked with soda and beer of old American brands. Such a hidden gem. I went for the first time recently. They have a sandwhich and burger menu which is exactly as it should be. Staff was super friendly. I've been to Andice General Store at least 10 times in the last 5 years and I have to say that this is my top place for a bacon cheeseburger and fries in Austin! On the quest to find the best bacon cheeseburgers I had this place in my top 3 in austin forever. The reason I say it's the best is because of the consistency of a solid cheeseburger on every visit. The ratio of mustard, and mayo, along with the fresh veggies, green leaf lettuce and tomatoes, make. This burger exceptional. Don't get me wrong, there are other excellent cheeseburgers out there, but paired with the crinkle cut fries they are second to none! The employees are so nice and helpful, always checking to see how the quality of the food is. The store itself can get busy during lunch times and is a pretty good hike to get there, but that aside it is worth the trek! They have other menu items besides cheeseburgers such as chicken sandwiches, pulled pork and bbq brisket sandwiches, quesadillas, and even corn dogs. Haven't tried any of those yet because it's hard not to order these "to die for" bacon cheeseburgers when I step foot in there! Horrible experience! My family witnessed the owner interrogate a retired veteran over his service animal. The veteran showed the Federal license and answered his questions as to the purpose of the service animal. Apparently, that was not enough for the owner who once again confronted the veteran who was calmly sitting with his wife. The owner demanded that the veteran read a paper describing his right to confront him. We overheard the owner say that the Federal license meant nothing to him and that the fine is only $200! Shame on this owner for saying that and ruining this poor couples private lunch. Just to be clear, the fine is considerably more which includes community service. There is also a civil lawsuit that can be issued. There is no exception to the Federal law. The food was overpriced, the burgers were tasteless, and the owners tyrannical behavior left us speechless. We will never ever go back there and reccomend to all to stay as far away as possible from this so called restaurant. read more

Oh my fat belly, the burgers here are incredible. Outstanding. Perfect. Amazing. Wow. Did I mention their burgers are great?! I'm going back! I've been back! I finally tried this place after sleeping on it for years, and I was so blown away by what must be the best burgers around that I returned three more times over a couple of weeks. I'm definitely packing on weight thanks to these folks! I enjoy the ambiance. It's a general store. They have drinks in the cooler, a shelf with candy and snacks, and bench tables inside. They also have a nice fenced in outdoor dining area. Folks here are nice, and the service is kind and attentive. Y'all should go here and get your fill on burgers--but don't plan on being able to finish your meal, because the portions are huge. Also... the burgers aren't the only thing on the menu. The small town burger shack you hope it is. Limited menu sticking with burgers, fries, tots, pulled pork, and chicken fried steak sandwich. Burgers are generous, about 1/3rd or 1/2 lbs. Iced tea on tap, everything else is bottled. But they do have a decent selection including examples from Dublin bottling works. Table seating is limited with some outside patio seating available. I had the brisket taco (more of a burrito really), which was good. The brisket was moist but lacked that slow cooked bark. I also got a regular burger...solid!
