Something is off here. I went for the first time after reading the reviews expecting good things. What I got was a large (probably 1/2 pound), pre formed burger of average quality that had obviously been previously frozen. For 9 bucks it was a rip, fries 5 bucks. Maybe it used to be better. read more

Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time! Love the crinkle fries too. 1 order of fries is more than enough to share.

Best burgers in Texas?! NO- best burgers anywhere!! Seriously worth the drive over at least a few times a year.

I had passed the Andice General Store many times while on bike (motorcycle) rides. I should have stopped sooner. Very good hamburgers and fries. The onion rings were OK, a little mushy for my taste. The service was friendly and the place was clean. Everyone's order was cooked how it was ordered. If you are out near Andice and want a hamburger this is the place to go. read more

What a gem! I have to thank my co-workers on Monday. The burger and onion rings were great. I'll definitely come back with friends in tow. So quaint, nice service, and a relaxing drive. read more

That was the best hamburger I've had in a long time. Real beef patty thick and juicy seasoned to perfection. The green chilies or roasted it added with a big piece of cheddar cheese read more

The burgers are some of the best I have eaten in my life. Well worth the drive and cost. Very cozy environment with only a few tables inside. Have been going there for years and don't know it took me so long to write a review on them because hey they are the best! read more

Been a while since I've been and it was like I remember, good parking, clean, organized, and friendly service. We had a a green chili cheeseburger and a pulled pork sandwich. As for the burger, crispy crust, juicy inside, fresh veggies and soft bun, the chilies were abundant an had just the right spice, pulled pork sandwich, don't think it's smoked, more like baked in oven, still had a great taste, moist and juicy good amount of meat, fresh cut onions, and the good ole pickles on it. The sauce was good but I would think its something bottled. For sure a winner and worth a drive to the country. Did get a ice drumstick from the freezer and $3.50 for one is way too much but your out in the middle of nowhere, it's the price you pay. read more

Andice General Store - Green chili cheeseburger and pulled pork sandwich. Perfectly cooked French fries. Aunt Donna not included! - Burgers Near Me - Georgetown, Texas

Pretty darn good food, but kinda pricy for burgers and fries! Handy for grabbing things, but at convienent store prices, too bad no longer has gas! Friendly service! read more

For a some Good food and a great old General Store feel check this place out. They have a good selection of sodas in glass bottles as well as moon pies and lots of other throw back treats. The pulled pork tacos , Green Chili Cheeseburger, BLT are just a few of my favorites. The owner and staff are the best you will find for good service. read more

We read the reviews on yelp and decided to make the trip. It was worth it, the cheeseburger was on point, onion rings, and the old school crinkle fries were the star of the show. You most definitely should share the fries or onion rings with someone it's enough for 2 or 3. The ambiance was very cool. We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. Definitely a place to check out on a pretty day. read more

Great cheese burgers! Yum! SO good after a long bike ride. And the nicest people you'll ever meet run the store.

This is a friendly happy spot with the best burgers! Very reasonable price for a hamburger made the way they were when I was a kid. Very generous portions. The waitress was so sweet with special requests. I have not had a hamburger that good as an adult. read more

Absolutely the best hamburger in the Austin area. Onion rings are to die for!!! They have a nice variety on the menu if you would like a burger with a little pizazz read more

We discovered this about 4 years ago. Love the burgers and pulled pork sandwiches! The portions or huge, so don't snack before you go there to eat. My husband and I always share either the fries or onion rings on the side. (It's a lot of food for one person to eat.) In my opinion, these are the best burgers around! The staff has always been friendly and efficient. It's always clean inside and the tables outside are always kept tidy. read more

Good food would recommend just be sure to check times when going because they do close earliery

Good burger but our order didn't come out together. First we got our fries. Four minutes later a burger then 4 minutes more another burger. Very unorganized. Something was off today for sure. Not sure what was going on but didn't make for a good experience. Not worth fighting a motorcycle club for a parking spot or a table. read more

THE best burger in the Austin area, bar none! Folks talk about other places in Austin, but that's because they haven't been out to Andice, yet. The best! read more

Up there on the list of best burgers I've had! And the onion rings are killer. The people are so nice; we'll definitely be coming back! Parking can be a hassle, but well worth it! read more

I love this burger store! Green hatch burger solid. love the size and staff are super, and restrooms were clean as the burgers and my morning ice coffee shot right thru me. The Browns went to the Super Bowl that day I must say. All their sandwiches are great to try! can't wait to return! read more

Good burgers and onions rings! Friendly service. Better than fast food burgers and onions rings are the best. You must visit!

This is a fun atmosphere, small town country store looking burger place. You sit on wooden picnic benches and it's just a blast. Good, friendly service, and fantastic burgers! They have fountain drinks or you can pick from a wall of interesting bottles of soda, different types and brands. Most I've never heard of. Good fries, excellent onion rings. Be sure to check their hours, as they are in a small town and they do open and close on-time. 5 stars. I'd say, map it, drive there and enjoy the time and food. If you've never been, it should be on your bucket list. read more

The food is always amazing. It is a great place to eat after hunting and hanging out with friends. If your in the area definitely try it out for yourself. I would recommend the chicken fried steak sandwich and their onion rings. read more

It's a fun drive out there, it's such an old general store that when I am seated, I can feel the floor bounce when someone walks by. The lady behind the counter was so so nice, the burgers we ordered were very good with fresh condiments. The burger itself was on the thin side but still had a nice taste. The onion rings were to die for. Worth the trip. read more

Burgers in the middle of nowhere. We saw a sign that claimed this place had the world's best burgers. We decided to find out. I can't put into words how perfect the burgers were. The patty was perfect. Most places make their burgers too thick. The toppings were distributed throughout. It was constructed to perfection. The bun wasn't too heavy. They give you an option to have your burger cut in half. This makes a difference. So simple but really fantastic. read more

I live in Georgetown, so we drove to Andice General Store for lunch. Delicious burger, fries and onion rings. Best place to go for a burger around the Georgetown area and worth driving from Austin. John the manager is so friendly and outgoing. Service was excellent. You will not regret eating here. read more

Great burgers at the Andice general store. Take a step back in time and come visit. Huge servings of fries, and wonderful staff.

My husband introduced me to Andice burgers. I can't put words to express how much I love this place. Yes! You will receive a huge, delicious burger and a heaping amount of home made fries! Definitely enough to split between 2 people. So goooooood! read more

A personal favorite of mine. If you are on 183 between Lampasses and Liberty Hill,(there's a way over from I-35 on Williams Drive, I think, ask Dr. Google) for any reason you gotta stop in and if you're hungry even better. You can tell you are in a family owned establishment from the moment you set foot in the door. The food is good, better than it needs to be, and the bathrooms are spotless. It's small and there's limited seating and don't count on getting a seat during the lunch rush. This place hasn't been a secret in quite some time at least not with the locals, but folks are friendly and are happy to share a picnic table if there's room. If weather permits there's seating outside, and I hear the owner has started selling cool beer but don't hold me to that if it ain't so. read more

I tried the hatch green chile burger. Perfect size with a delicious fresh bun. Ordered fried onion rings as well and they had a nice crisp batter and were not obnoxious in size. The service was helpful, quick and friendly. Plus they have a nice outside seating area as well. read more

Love. People are great. Ask for what you want - they will not disappoint! Great burgers. Oh, fries are for the table - share them - it's a whole basket :) read more

What a find! Huge, handmade, fresh, old-time burgers. Absolutely delicious. Heaping baskets of hand cut French fries. (And as the charming gentleman behind the counter told us when we mistakenly tried to order 2 fries for 2 people, "Two fries is too many.") One basket will do ya'. A great selection of old time bottled sodas and their liquor license is in the works as of 2/2013. Indoor seating, outdoor seating! Sit outside and you can even feed the neighbor's chickens that come over to beg food off you! Does it get any better than begging chickens? Come on, it does not. If this place were in Austin, it'd be $19.95/pp and there would be a line around the block. If it were in Austin, it would be swarmed with hipsters. But it is definitely not in Austin, this is an authentic hole in the wall, which makes it far, far cooler. It's filled with locals, blue collar workers, plenty of pickups out front complete with dogs waiting for their owners to return, but no hipsters in sight. Five stars! read more

I've had the Hatch chili cheeseburger at the Buckhorn Tavern and the Owl Café in New Mexico, where the concept was supposedly invented, but nothing beats the big, hot, fresh, drippy, Hatch chili cheeseburger here! read more

I can't believe we've lived within 15 minutes of this place and only just discovered it by complete accident! I want to try everything on their menu, but I can't help ordering the burger every time.
