I had the unfortunate task of having to fetch my stolen car from here. The staff were unfailingly helpful and walked me through a tough experience for me. The car was not in great shape, so I decided to leave it, but I remarked that the only thing that mattered to me was if I could find some CDs I cherished. I searched, but could not find them. Three weeks later, a package arrived at my house with the missing CD wallet! They had found it, and carefully wrapped it and sent it to me. These are good people. After DMV made a mistake issuing my husband a permit, and then telling him only after he called them, that he owed more money, we had two cars we weren't legally allowed to drive or sell until we paid DMV a lot more money! Foolishly, we let our son drive one of the cars, and MPD stopped him and impounded that car this week. Because of the mess that it was, neither DMV nor MPD could tell husband how to clean up the mess in order to recover the car. DMV kept trying to pass the problem on to different departments, and MPD simply didn't know any better than DMV, what steps to take. I called Anderson's to see if they had ideas, hoping they had experience with this sort of situation before. I think I talked to Maria, and although she couldn't give a definitive answer, she seemed to sincerely try to help by offering suggestions on who to contact next. She was polite and kind, and since I was braced for an unfriendly person who probably deals with angry people all day, I was so thankful for her taking time to try to help. Husband was able to get what we needed yesterday afternoon and this morning, and when I called Anderson's back this morning to ask about fees and rules, Rich answered, gave me some of the info, gave me his name when I hadn't even asked, and cheerfully(maybe not the right word, but I liked him) passed me on to Amy for more help. Amy was even friendlier than the last two, listening just like Maria had done, and giving me information, proper warnings, and overall excellent service. She assured me that picking up the car won't take long since we have all we need, and I really look forward to seeing this awesome crew at lunch today! They stole my makeup bag worth about $600 dollars! It was in my trunk in a backpack! Opened my trunk and my backpack that had my makeup bag in was opened! My truck wasn't starting, called my insurance Geico, they told me they were sending Anderson Towing out for me. They gave an estimate time of 9:24pm, it was 7:55pm. My wife called this company to get a tow, asked whether they take our insurance, and was put on hold for more than 5 minutes. I called on the other line and asked what was going on, and was told very rudely by the operator that she was waiting for a call back from the driver about accepting insurance. When I suggested that she at least communicate with my wife and let her know that she hadn't been forgotten or disconnected, I was instantly put on hold. I actually ended up not needing the service but I was nonplussed with the "customer service". My car broke down on a freeway exit (going onto the freeway at that) on a 100+ degree day. They didn't show any concern for my well-being and didn't give any sense of urgency - I was basically told that there was a 45 minute wait. Didn't ask if I was safe or if I had any children/elderly with me. This sense of apathy frustrated me and I fired my car up to see if I could limp it home (which I did). I'm not sure about the quoted price - it seemed quite high but I'm not fully in touch with tows these days. Could be a good outfit but these little details really soured me. I had a truck that would not start and needed it towed to a nearby service center. Staff was friendly and gave me a quick quote. They called me to let me know when the tow truck was on the way. It was a pretty quick and easy process. If I could change one thing it's maybe letting me know if I was getting a flatbed or wheel-lift tow truck. Hello, I had a TERRIBLE experience with Anderson Towing last night, and id like to share it. My wife was in an accident. My insurance company sent these guys out. The guy got there in a standard truck, and I told him id feel more comfortable towing my car in a flatbed, and also asked how safe his yard was (since my car might be there a week, and didnt want to have it vanadalized, etc...) Well, he took it personal immed, and proceeded to leave, and said "a flatbed will come out, but it wont be wit us" --and sped off! Well, another tow company comes out, and he says the order states to take it to Anderson's yard, which they did. I get a call at 1000pm at night from Anderson's, after a looooong, stressful day: "you need to come get this. we didnt do the order. this car needs to be removed, or we will call MPD or charge you $300!!" So i get ready, and take off to get my vehicle. When I get there, i state "is there a manager or the owners i can talk to??" The guy says "no. they are not available until MON morning" Then i saw the guy who originally went out and told him "you didnt have to make this transaction personal. all i wanted was a flatbed." He started cussing me out! All i heard was F-this, and F-you, etc... some of his coworkers held him back. then another guy got there and yelled at me "get your car off this property. this is private property! or i will call PD or charge you $300" all i could say was "this is bad business. there has been a misunderstanding with the directions on where to take the vehicle, etc..." SO THEY LITERALLY MAD ME START UP MY WRECKED VEHICLE, AND MOVE IT ACROSS THE STREET, WITH THE BUMPER SCRAPING THE ROAD! and they had 3 tow trucks parked right there. AND- i waited in front of their business, with my car, in the dark, with noone around, until 12am midnight, until Reliable Tow came and got me. I had a terrible exeprience dealing with these guys. We could have reached some kind of agreement, or paid to leave my vehicle there overnight. BUT THEY TOOK IT PERSONAL THAT I WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THAT CAME WITH A FLATBED. --S read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. My car was stolen and retrieved and sent to this towing yard through the CHP who found my car . RICHARD, was the man who took care of my situation . Very disrespectful yelling at my daughter and calling her a "motor mouth" questioning if she was "violent" just because she was asking for a receipt and paper trail for the insurance company of the $465 it took JUST TO GET MY STOLEN CAR OUT OF IMPOUND. Driver said he wasn't dropping off the car where I needed it simply because he didn't feel like it for $70. I Paid $140 to tow two (2)cars out of there lot 7 miles off, mind you this is right after getting a quote from another tow truck company for $120, "2098905554" verifiable information that's the 120 quote to tow 2cars. I figured $20 difference, all pay the extra $20 since cars are in there lot and get this over with, when dropping off the second vehicle the tow truck driver couldn't back up into the location the second car was going because he didn't feel like it, he said "come on man, it's a $70 dollar tow, I'm not backing up into shit for that, I'm dropping the car off here"on an alie" or on the front of your house" I've had aaa come pick up cars here and drop them off for me multiple times, there is plenty of room,Had 2098905554 this tow company has come drop cars here and or pick them up and never had a beep, they back up with no issues drop off and goo, this guy just couldn't do the job because he was going to have to use a little driving skills and it wasn't worth my $70, the only reason I'm paying for this is so the car can goo where i need it. i have no words, just ridiculous you pay for a service that you know can be done, has been done multiple times, and the driver didn't feel like doing when it's been done over and paid for, and it only took literally minimum effort, wish there were 0 starts, never again. read more

So grateful to Anderson Towing. Without going into great detail, my son's car was stolen a year ago and though title was transfered out of his name, his car was impounded and a lien was placed on him. I spoke with Maria and she was so empathetic to his situation. All she asked was to bring in all applicable paperwork and she would forward it to her manager Dwayne. Dwayne quickly decided to lift the lien and save my son an unfair blemish on his credit. They were fast and efficient in solving my issue. From my initial communication to completion was three days, 1 office visit and 2 phone calls. Anderson Towing cared about a customer who had nothing to offer them. In taking care of my son, they showed me that its not about money, sometimes there is that rare company that cares about the community in which they do business.Thank you to Maria and Dwayne. Horrible service. I called at 8 in the morning to get a tow for when I got off work, was told to call an hour before I needed tow. OK, no big deal. Called at 1:00 and then was quoted an hour and a half. Only they didn't show up until almost 5:00 The icing on the cake is that I asked for a flatbed and they didn't show up with one, towing my classic car the wrong way, according to my shop where they dropped it off. Stranded in a parking lot and called for a jump. The lady answered with "hello" so I asked if it was a towing services. She said yes and put me on hold. Took basic info and said about 45 minutes. We said okay. Waited. And waited and waited. At the 45 minute mark, husband and I remembered the Auto Zone down the street. He walked down and got back with cables and still no news from the tow place. We got a jump and was headed home. 30 minutes after the estimated time, I got a call. Thanks. But no thanks. I just want to start off by saying that I use yelp religously. I like to look at the reviews before I go to a new place just to see what others experiences are like. That being said I purchased a vehicle from Anderson tow yard, but when I looked at yelp for reviews all of the negative reviews were on the customer service. There were not any reviews about them as a car sales location, so I figured no reviews means they cant be bad. Man I was wrong. I purchased a 99 Chevy Tahoe from them expecting a cheap car that might need some work but could get me from place A to B safely. When you buy a car from them or any tow yard from what I understand you can only drive the car in forward and reverse because you can not take the vehicle off of the property. The space available to test drive is very small so there is no way to ever be able to tell how a transmission shifts not making it over 5 to 10 mph. The sales women although very nice is deceitful. She told me she drove the vehicle herself, and that she loved it. Another employee also commented on how he wanted to purchase the vehicle himself because it drove so well. I buy the vehicle and immediatley have to go put in gas because they had it on so empty that it would not keep a battery charge. Should have been my first sign to keep moving. When I pulled out of the gate and started to accelerate I knew I had just bought a car that was in bad condition. First thing the next morning I took the tahoe to a transmission shop only to find out 3rd and 4th gear are burned out and the truck is basically a paperweight that I will now have to put a couple thousand into before I can even drive it. I am sure if any of the employees drove the car they felt the transmissions faults and still proceeded to sell the car to the public anyways. I know I bought the car as is, and will now have to face the consequences of my own actions, but I wanted to post a review to future car buyers DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLES FROM THEM. THE EMPLOYEES WILL LIE TO YOU ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR MONEY NOT THE CUSTOMERS. i wish I would have seen a review before I made the mistake of buying a car from Anderson Tow Yard in Ceres CA. read more

I would like to say on June 1 2013 I called the Anderson towing. The dispatcher was wonderful, It was at around 12:30 am she was very pleasant, and gave me a one hour window. Then the driver came in about 20 minters. His truck was very nice, clean, with lots of chrome, so shinny. The driver was clean, courtice, with great work ethics, the customer service was something we don't have enough of these days! I used Anderson"s Towing last week for my Mazda. I was conserned about the tow since my vechile is 4WD, but Anderson's sent the right truch for my car. The staff is polite and the process was easy. I was able to schedule a time for my car to be picked up and towed to my repair facility, the driver was on time which was important as i needed to be at work. Over all I have to say I will never use another tow compnay. Anerson's is the best company I have ever used and I would highly recomend theri services! read more
