The first time told me that I was nowhere near his vicinity even though I was only about 5 miles away from him! This nice gentleman. who is an elderly man, came right over, was able to find me within 20 minutes and instead of trying to go straight for hooking me up to tow which he said would be more expensive he tried to put sand behind my tires! With the sand working and me being able to then get out of my clients driveway we know longer needed to worry about hooking up to the tow, which seem to be a little bit of money. I give this company or four star review only because him coming out to me and putting sand behind my tires cost me $40. I understand the need for travel fees,service fees, and everything like that as that is the type of business I am in as well, however I was a little taken aback that it was $40! However with his quickness to get to me and his readiness to help save me money I would definitely call him again if I needed another tow in the area!!

This is the quick review, simply because I want to warn others…read more The longer one is here: There is a reason this shop does not have any reviews, and that is because they seemingly have no customers. The reason they have no customers is because the level of inhumanity is stunning, even in today's world. I went for an appointment that I arranged with the owner over the phone. When I kept my appointment, even following a Nor'Easter, I was told I would need to reschedule. Was it because of the snow and Ice I had traveled 30 minutes through to get there? The pandemic that is keeping us all on alert when we have to go anywhere? No, I was told by the owner of the shop that was empty of any customers or customers' cars. It was because I was 20 minutes late and he needed to do "customer grooming," teaching customers how to behave. This is not a joke--it really happened. The shop is in a completely residential neighborhood that is many miles from anything commercial, and has no sign and no way to see it; I was going up and down the street trying to find it, and it was hard to find places to turn around each time because of the ice and snow from the storm. GPS often gives an approximate location--sometimes very approximate--and that is what happened here. This could have been avoided if in the two times I had called before the appointment--once to make it, the second time to confirm it--I had been told of the location and any sort of landmark. I am so glad that this happened at the point that it did so that I didn't let this guy touch my car. I would do anything to steer clear of anyone who thought they needed to do "customer grooming," especially to go to the cruel extent of cancelling an appointment that a customer clearly went way out of their way to make after severe weather events, and in the middle of a Pandemic. Because this was such an extraordinarily inhumane way to act, I almost didn't write a review because I thought there might actually be a mental heath problem on the part of the owner (and this is also not a joke--none of this review should be taken as a joke because it was an awful experience. There is something very off about someone who would intentionally do something cruel--there is never an excuse for that.) After ascertaining that is probably not true, I thought it was good to warn others no matter what. I would never want anyone to have the experience I did. We can each make the world a better place to be in right now, or a worse one. It's often not easy these days, for anyone, and we need to be able to rely on one another to make this the world we want to live in. Clearly, this guy was going for the worse. I am still choosing the better, day after day.

This company had the price OVERALL. one company tried charging me four hundred dollars to go less than 36miles. Ray, the gentlemen, who helped me out today was amazing. He not only showed up to my place less than an hour after our conversation , but he jumped my car and got it picked up and taken over the auto body shop without any fuss. Loading up my NV3500HD (curb weight 9,000+Lbs) took a better man with a better flatbed / wrecker to…read moreloading up more than a little car or large car or an SUV. It took a quality truck with an experienced man. Ray rolled up on his strong and true two tone Sterling and assessed from tip to stern - would they're be drag on my running boards? Could there be and additional dangers to my vans body and frame? I've been towed twice prior to Ray coming to my aid this morning - his care for my vehicle was top priority. The big Sterling decline tilted and Ray pulled the chains and hooks - shot under my van with the intensity, enthusiasm and spryness of a man half his age - still assessing for optimum attachments. Once all was connected and secured, up the Big Van went as the Sterlings hydrologics roared to life and pulled the van up and on like the Coast Guard rescuing a man overboard. The drive to my mechanic was so pleasant - driving so safely and we chatted the 11 miles away, finally arriving at my destination. At which point I went inside the office to introduce myself and get the paperwork conversation started. By the time I had exited, Ray (who if I'd not mention prior is the owner of the company) had slid me into the perfect spot for the team at Cobbs to easily swing the rig into the garage. Fabulous experience during a difficult time - nobody looks forward to getting towed - but take it from me - Ray is the man to call if your needing towing and or recovery.
