I called VIP to get their price, they quoted me about the same price as Amazon, but the awesome part is, they install it at no charge if you purchase the bulb there (or at O'Reilly's auto parts, in same establishment. It does not matter, VIP charges you and does the installation.) This, to me, was an amazing deal. The fog lights in my car are no picnic to get to. Doing it myself looked like an incredible pain in the ass. Here at VIP, they took me right in, put my car on the lift, and had new bulb installed very quickly. Apparently, they offer many of these small, but convenient, free services. The staff at this location are very customer service oriented. I had avoided VIP for a number of years because most of my business had been done at their Sabattus St. location, and the staff gives you more of that typical, busy mechanics, "we don't need your business" kind of attitude and they assume you are stupid. My recent visit to the Lisbon St. location gave me a whole new respect for this business, and is probably where I will continue to go. Thank you!

He told me they didn't have one and that I should go get my own. What a rude bastard. I'll NEVER go to that toilet bowl again.

It's a long-running joke in my family that cars and I just don't get along. Since getting my first…read morecar at seventeen, I've been through nearly ten of them. Some have just died, some have been totaled, one even blew up on me. All in all, what does this mean? That I have spent more time than most young women have at the mechanics. Full disclosure: my uncle works here as one of the technicians. So, when I had my first car issue, my dad made an appointment for me here. After all, it's where our ENTIRE family has their car work done. Nearly two decades later and this is STILL my mechanic (and nearly every one of their technicians has worked on my car). I don't even live in town anymore; I drive an hour just to come here. Why? It has absolutely nothing to do with loyalty to family. It has to do with trust, excellent customer service, and exceptional quality of workmanship. Which defines how Morin's operates! I've been to other mechanics (remember: I've gone through about ten cars in ten years; I've had nearly everything done to a car one can). I've been talked down to, talked at, talked over, and ignored all together. While I'll be the first to tell you that I don't know anything about cars, I do except a certain level of respect, cooperation, and straight-forward information from mechanics, car salesmen, insurance folks, etc. It doesn't matter who's servicing my vehicle at Morin's - they are always wonderful to me when explaining what's wrong, what I didn't know is wrong, what I should be worried about, what I shouldn't be worried about now, and what their suggestion for me is. They're never salesman-y and they're never smug. And this isn't just the way they are with me. I've seen technicians (and even the owner) sit right down with customers and have a heart-to-heart with them using terminology that is understandable. And that's one of the many reasons I love them. They treat EVERYONE like family. They remember small details about every one of their customers, so it never feels like you have to prompt them to remember who you are (or what car you drive). Their pricing is fair and competitive, and their service is above and beyond (if you don't want to stay at the shop while they fix your car, they'll drive you back to your house.... just because they can!). Other reasons I love Morin's? Um, free coffee and donuts, and Wi-Fi, too. Meaning - if I don't want to be brought home - I can squat there for however long it takes for my car to get fixed without missing a couple hours of work. Oh, and Wendy. Wendy is amazing. She is one of my favorite human beings in the entire world. Give her a high-five or a hug or a coffee!

This place reminds of the old stations that are slowly closing. Went here looking for a used tire and got a hell of a deal on 4 of them. They mounted and balanced them and I headed back to my motel. The next day I noticed one of them was low on air so I went back to the shop. They got me right in and found a nail in it. They fixed the tire and NEVER charged me! That just doesn't happen these days. I would drive out of my way to have work done here.

Mr Grimmel, the owner, said he can install 4 used tires for $200 and I agreed. He told me to come back in an hour or wait in the waiting room. I left and came back after 2 hours. He handed me a bill of $475 plus tax! He said his worker noticed the brakes needed work and they went ahead and did it. I told him I agreed to get 4 tires replaced for $200 and did not authorize for him to do any additional work, therefore that I was not going to pay for the brakes. He threatened that he will call the police if I didn't pay and that he will keep the car until I paid the full $475 plus tax. He also tried to appeal to pity by saying that he needed to pay his workers. He admitted that his worker was wrong and should've asked before fixing it. But since work was done that he will lose money if he charged me $200. I tried to negotiate with him to give me a discount or meet me in the middle but he wouldn't budge. So I ended up paying the full amount, but decided to not ever step a foot in his garage!

At first glance, less hardy individuals may feel like they might be taken for a ride. First impressions are not always accurate. Ray was really nice and explained everything really extensively, making sure I knew exactly what he was doing. He also recommended what I might want to have done, and what I didn't need to have done at that time. His prices were more than fair and he did whatever he could to get me the best deal on parts. His labor fees for actual garage work are more than fair, compared to a lot of other places. He showed me the broken part after the fact and explained what the new part looked like in place of. Ray gave me an accurate estimate on price and stuck with it and his estimated time was flexible: I dropped off my car in the morning so he could assess the problem and give me a time estimate which he initially had thought it would take him until the next day as he had another car on the lift. I also had to be at work for the day. Later that same day he phoned to tell me that my car was finished and I could pick it up later that evening! Amazing. Ray only accepts cash, no credit cards so be aware of this before deciding to go through with a big fix. I've found my VW mechanic for sure. It's a good feeling.
