They did not reinsert the copper crush washer and in doing so the screw was put in too tight causing a crack. They are refusing to take responsibility because it was "already cracked" and their proof is that there is "rust" in the crack. ALUMINUM DOES NOT EVEN RUST. NEVER GO HERE. I have two specialist mechanics that said 100% this was caused by them and I have proof from my last oil change that there was no crack at that time. The photos show the damage after the oil change (notice no copper washer) and after the mechanic looked at it and put one back in. "If this crack was there before this change your engine would have blown up by now"- my mechanic. The guy in charge of the branch -Paspal- has refused to talk to me further about the issue and I am now going to have to take legal action. A headache no one wants.

I asked why no one called me and they apologized and said they were busy. I brought my vehicle back to the Subaru dealer to complete the state inspection. The car failed again and to quote the auto service repair technician, "I don't know how they could miss these additional holes as they are obvious." They marked the locations of the holes and I returned to Meineke again to have the holes in the exhaust fixed. Meineke offered no discount and really didn't seem to care that they messed up. My vehicle passed inspection but the Subaru dealer noted that Meineke welded the entire exhaust system together. The original exhaust comes in four separate sections so you can replace just one section if it wears out. So Meineke did poor quality work and didn't own up to the issues they caused.

They blamed it on a faulty hubcap. It's funny that I never had any problems with it for thousands of miles in rain or snow. The next day I drove less than sixty miles and lost the hubcap from the other tire they mounted! The hubcaps cost more than the $30 I paid for the work they performed. I should probably re-torque the lug nuts that they said wouldn't need retightening. Followup: After this review I was contacted by the owner and was referred to the local manager. I got two tires I owned mounted and balanced for free and another $30 off an alignment that is already the lowest price in town. Still not pleased with my original visit, but at least they tried to make it up to me.
