Cant say enough how I appreciate this business ,they have treated me great every visit for the past 4 years.

Have a lifted truck for my off road wildlife habitat. Goes great over objects. Brought the truck in a few days ago and told him what I needed. No problem and set up the appointment for 10am. I expected to wait. Get checked in and paid 1400plus. Said no problem they would call when ready. I go and waste time at the diner etc etc. come back 1.5 hrs and my truck is sitting as it was when I left! No new rubber. Nothing!!! So go in and ask and he tells me after market spacers are used and they can't touch them or even REMOVE them!!! Tied up my Monday for 48-72 hrs so I can't afford to get another place to install!!!! I nicely explained when you have someone come in WITH big tires and requesting big tires why don't you 1. Post a notice about spacers 2, really make a person wait this long!!!!!!! 2 local shops have NO problem installing them. 1 will remove spacer and that's fine. I'll reinstall later. But this guy was automated and didn't care. Had zero interest in my telling him would be great for them to let people know with big trucks!!!! Thanks for wasting hours of my time when the solution was as simple as removing the spacer!!!!

Back in February of last year, my Subaru busted a head gasket. I was able to limp to VIP in…read moreBrunswick, scared and curious as to what was going on with my car. A busted head gasket really is a death wish for Subaru's, Matt the manager called me and let me know how much it was going to cost. I told them to go ahead and do the work, and they started. I spent around $5,000 for them to fix my car. Half way through the fixing process I got a call from one of the workers at VIP saying he needed to put a new "engine block" in my car, and that VIP didn't have those, but he had one on him, and that he would sell that to me for $600. Not knowing what to do, I went ahead and bought the engine block. My car was finally finished, and when I left my low oil light came on, wasn't sure what was going on so I called VIP, and went there for them to take a look. They told me there was no oil leaking. I got home, and to my dismay, there was no oil leaking, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE CAR. I went back to them, and they lifted my car and told me the technician who sold me this "engine block" didn't remove the old filter, and there was a pin hole in it, letting the oil leak out like a faucet. When they fixed it, they told me I could have died. That experience scared me, but I still put my faith in VIP when I had some steering stuff going on, I went there and spoke with Matt, who told me that I needed new steering pump, and I asked him if I could wait until I actually have money to do that, and he said "you'll be stranded on the side of the road somewhere if you wait." So, I waited, and that was 2 years ago. My steering is fine. VIP has made me scared for my life, no business should do that. I also found out that they NEVER PUT MY AC BACK TOGETHER. So, I have no AC anymore, because of their ignorance. I've called the branch in Topsham about 6 times in the last 3 months, asking them if they've gotten the part in, just to be told that they would call me back, and they never call back! Not once! I will never step foot in this place again, and other people shouldn't either. To top it off, when I went to the Topsham branch and told them about the events that took place in the Brunswick one, one of the technicians said my case was a "famous" case, one of the most messed up projects that they've ever had. I've tried to get ahold of the owner, I have just left messages and never hot a return call. EDIT: 03/29/21 VIP in Topsham is awesome, they took care of me and helped me get my AC back, they really stepped up to the plate. Call Topsham VIP for anything!!

This last time I had to use a 5 foot pipe on a half-inch breaker bar to loosen them--heaven help me if I had to change a tire on the highway. Impact wrenches are for removal, but should never be used for tightening. They really should be torquing them to the proper specs and no more.

In the last 11 months I have had multiple rotations and new tires on both of our vehicles. I like that appointments are helping to schedule the work. I appreciate the consulting on tire options and recommendations from Scott. I am very happy with the new tires on both of our vehicles. Scott's team had to work extra hard to clean the undercoating off my rims. Thank you to the team and appreciate the clean office waiting space. Thank you.

However, I don't keep up much with businesses in Bath (my bad), so didn't know Cahill's had been sold back in April. The reason I stopped in was for someone to check the pressure in my tires, as my low tire pressure light came on when I left my home that morning. This is a fairly new car with 23K miles on it that I had bought in September. All four tires were brand new. Anyway, when I walked in I saw this dark haired woman sitting at the counter in the waiting room. I asked where Marty was and she said we are the new owners. So, I asked if someone could check the tire pressure on my tires (a three minute task) and she said the service people were all busy and she could make me an appt, for Thursday. I said that wasn't really acceptable, as air was leaking. I left and on the way to my car I saw two service people standing by the stacks of tires outside just shooting the breeze. Busy, my foot. If that had been the old crew, they would have been right on it, even Marty had done that in the past. So, I went to Bert's (yes, I still call it that) and the kid came out, checked all my tires and the back passenger one was done 6 pounds. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Cahill's.

You are treated as a valued customer, the staff always assesses the issue with your car/truck honestly. Whether you're driving a brand new car, or an old beater, it doesn't matter. Wayne Gagne and his team will treat you right. The last several years, I've been driving a newer car and had been going back to the dealership. I'm a Ford guy and love Ford products, but I hate the dealership service experience. Now that I'm over 100K and off my extended warranty, I'm back at Lee's and am reminded of the difference yet again between Lee's and probably most of the other repair shops out there. I'm sure that there are a few other places around that still do things the old-fashioned way (as in honest and dependable). I'm not planning to see them out because for me, Lee's (at Cook's Corner) is where I plan to stay for my auto repair needs.

Over the last few years, they have changed. The people who worked there have long since retired and have been replaced with rude, arrogant, and disrespectful employees that are not qualified. You don't swear at an elderly lady and get away with it in my book!, and that's exactly what one of the inspection sticker writers did to my wife. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. They have another shop in Topsham that is probably taking a hit for the poor performance in Brunswick. I don't know if it's changed there or not.
