The guys here are great! Honest, trustworthy. No BS. And fair pricing. I bring my car here for everything and I'm never disappointed.

This guy just runs his own codes again, "looks under the hood to see how easy it would be to fix oxygen sensors" and that was his diagnostics. I had to even ask what diagnostics he did when he went to charge me for this. His codes were the exact same by the way. Just wants to start changing things without a deep dive - so you'll end up changing a bunch of items with them. Customer service was obviously terrible too. Don't go here

Never written a review in my life and I'm 99.9% sure I'll never write another…read more The entire process of dealing with ABC was horrendous. They seem like decent guys to joke around with (trying to be fair here). But what I experienced was anything but professional. It would take pages to document this past weeks experiences with ABC. It feels like it's been much longer than that. They wasted way a large amount of my time and money as a result of incompetence. Whether it was completely forgetting about my tow, or charging me for new parts that he GAVE back to me so that I could INSTALL THEM MYSELF because he didn't HAVE TIME, or telling me he'd be there at 4:30pm to check me out but he then leaves to go home early for the day, or telling me he didn't get around to the oil change I asked for because he didn't have time! (which is odd because he went home early!!!) OR MAYBE it was just the fact that the whole reason for the tow was because the fuel pump was going, and he didn't touch anything besides the brakes! Throughout this entire process, I made an in-person appointment, 2 weeks out. I then went back in 2 days prior to the tow to confirm (shouldn't even be necessary on my part). When i finally got ahold of them over an hour after my scheduled pick up time, they begrudgingly came to pick me up, and then proceeded to tell me that they aren't going to even work on it for a few days because they have certain customers that are a priority. WHY DID I WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR AN APPOINTMENT THEN??? None of it makes sense. Honestly, they truly seem like decent individuals. BUT this was the most unprofessional spot I've been to since moving to Maine. 2/10

I brought the vehicle back and it turned out it was a bad gasket on a plug. The folks at the shop were great. They found the issue and corrected it right away. After 45 minutes, they called me and told me it's going to be nearly $400 for the two light bulbs, and that it won't be done for another additional 45 minutes. I have places to be!!! Don't be the next victims of these people who see customers as noth but $$$. My only concern is that after reading this review, the mechanics are going to steal stuff out of my car. I can't imagine paying $400 that I don't have for headlight bulbs, the only reason i stayed to have it done is because i already wasted so much time on this already. UPDATE: they charged me over $400 for two headlight bulbs, kept me waiting for over 2 hours, and generally treated me with the utmost disrespect and lack of care AND GET THIS, THEY ONLY CHANGED ONE OF THE LIGHTBULBS. I got completely robbed and I am surprised this is even legal. shame on you guys.

Have read and hear a lot of negative things about most shops but I had a great experience here with them actually looking out for me as a customer and I know most dont ever feel that way in these places. I would definitely recommend this place for the customer service along with the quality of the work as well.

They stated they did not have the tires as promised so they tried to up sell me ($180 a tire), then promised a better tire for the same price. When I picked up the car they put even different tires on that are not even listed for sale. I found the same tire at Walmart for $64 dollars. They said the manufacturer makes different quality tires for Townfair than they do for Walmart, even though the tire has the exact same name, numbers and codes. I looked it up, a lie. I brought the car back to have the original requested tires installed. 2. Previous to this I purchased tires and they charged me for an alignment I did not ask for. I told them they did not have enough time to give my car an alignment and I didn't request one. They then told me they just checked the alignment and it was fine but if it is out of alignment anytime in the next year, just bring it in. So, they lied. I did not pay for the alignment. This reminds me of business you come across in third world countries. Pretty bad all around. I will take my business elsewhere.

Terrible experience. I recently moved to Maine from California, and as part of the vehicle…read moreregistration process in Maine, I needed to have my car inspected. I have an older Lexus SUV, California car, no rust, ran like a champ cross country. After assessing the vehicle last week, Stroudwater Tire & Auto told me I needed new rear brakes and nothing else. They estimated $300-400, and I said fine. I set up an appointment the following week and dropped the car off as planned. These guys did the $300-400 work today and THEN called me to tell me I needed additional work done based on a dashboard warning light. I should now explain for the Mainers reading this review that there is no vehicle inspection in California (or any western state to my knowledge), and this same dash light has been on for the past 2 years. My mechanic in CA assured me that it did not adversely affect the car and posed no danger. But I digress... My complaint is that this warning light was on when these guys assessed the vehicle and recommended rear brake replacement last week. Only after they completed the brake replacement today did they inform me that I needed additional work (up to THOUSANDS of dollars) in order to pass inspection in Maine. This is an older vehicle, and I am not willing to put thousands of dollars into it. I am now faced with trading the car after paying for these clowns to replace the brakes! Where I'm from... this is called some BUUUULLSHIT. Whether it was intentional or not, I recommend steering clear of this place.
