If it's going to take you that long why don't they give us one to use in the meantime? So now we have to go to a public charger which costs $ every time (time that we don't have as we have to drive to the Portland area (from New Gloucester) and we are extremely busy and have to go out of our way to do so. The car had a broken key fob and they took it to the Toyota dealer, got me an extra fob and then delivered the car to my front door. That kind of service is unheard of in this day and age but Darling's will go the extra mile for you. I also appreciate that they didn't make me feel hustled or taken advantage of - everything was easy and straight. Their finance department is superb - they got me financed through my bank at a good rate and did it quickly.

It was otherwise a suitable vehicle for me and the test drive was good, but vehicles I was looking at elsewhere were priced better. Therefore, I was surprised when they said they don't negotiate whatsoever on prices. They also insisted on looking at my current vehicle to assess the trade in value, even though I didn't express interest I having them do that, and they gave me a laughable value. Ultimately, I purchased a nearly identical Rav4 (same trim, etc) elsewhere with 4k more miles for $5.5k less.

Next day check engine light is on again, take it back a 2nd time mechanic tells me it's something else and that he has fixed it..... Light comes back on again so I call and tell the manager Nicky I will be taking the car to the VW dealership so they can code read it since the Lady's mechanic obviously can't figure it out. The VW mechanic comes back with a laundry list of problems and quotes me nearly 4 thousand dollars in repairs that are needed not only that apparently the rear main seal is leaking oil onto the exhaust and should have never received an inspection sticker in the first place! I fought with Nicki (Owner/manager) for months eventually got them to handle some of the work but was still responsible for covering about half the repair bills myself with my own mechanic. In addition to that they never reported that I paid sales tax (Despite it supposed to have been in my financing. so I guess they pocketed that) so I had to shell out for that when I went to register the vehicle as well. Would not recommend! This business had such a bad reputation in Augusta/Manchester they had to move to Brunswick just to stay in business.
