Parts were extremely overpriced. They say it's because of their warranty. I was charged $676 for parts that I could've bought myself for $135. I also made the mistake of telling them how much I needed to spend and they came in $161 above that amount, don't repeat my mistake. DEFINITELY GET A SECOND OPION!! Claimed they were going to fix issues caused by another shop. I had faith in them, which in hindsight was foolish. While I got plenty of reassurances and 'talk' by the receptionist (she boldly claimed "your car won't leave until it's 100% fixed", then they basically gave up a week later); Worrying issues still remain, and my vehicle is still not back to 100%. I had gone here as a last-ditch effort to fix my car before moving far away from Brunswick in the following month. Turns out they're just as bad as all 5 other shops I've tried over the years. In 15 years in Brunswick, my family and I have had bad experiences with EVERY shop in the area. It's interesting that between the 10 or so shops in Brunswick, none seem competent enough to even conduct simple suspension/alignment work. read more

We have trusted auto metrics with our vehicles for many years, everything from our older Chevy suburban, classic Volvo 240 wagons, Audi A4 avant, Mercedes wagon etc. They have always been honest, responsive and reliable. I went for an oil change and was told $120 over the phone. dropped the car off and when I went to pick it up I was charged $221. Looking closer at the invoice I was up charged $5/qt of oil and $74 for labor which was half an hour. After paying the ridiculous amount for a simple oil change, I started my car only to find out that they did not clear the oil service light. I went back inside and was met with an argumentative manager that insisted she did in fact clear the oil light, when I had just scanned my car and she did not. After three minutes of arguing she finally agreed to clear it. overall a horrible experience and will not ever be going back. would not recommend to anyone. read more

The folks at Autometrics are really incredible. I was in Brunswick for the summer, and my car has been having trouble for ages. After coming in a few days before I had to drive 17 hours back to NC, they pushed my car to the front of their to-do list, somehow miraculously got their hands on a catalytic convertor in one day, and then got my car back to me within two days. after just leaving a few days later, my wheel bushing was having trouble. I drove back up, and they got my car and fixed the steering issues within an hour so I could get back on the road. I simply cannot say enough good things about their care, customer service, and kindness! read more

Bought a 07 mini, it leaked oil, they failed to diagnose and fix it. They ended up charging me $1,122.88 to fix it after having it diagnosed by a more expensive shop. The car is a lemon, it's current trade in value is junk value. $10,000 for less than 30,000 miles, and I never trusted the car to visit family. Worst car purchase experience I have ever had. Will not take a sticker less than 5 years, engine is damaged, & a list of other things. $10,000, 27,000miles less than 5 years, would you buy anything else from them? My experience is not normal. I would not recommend buying or servicing a Mini Cooper from them. I was told repeatedly they don't like working on them. It's a small business and I'm sure they're doing their best. I bought a bad trade in that looked great, and got overcharged. I would expect issues like these from a $4000 car, which is about what we should have paid. They had to make $5,000, instead of just passing off a bad trade in, as wholesale. I hope this has been a learning experience for all of us. read more

They have done several repairs for me and all of them have been excellent and well done. My only frustration is that they are so busy it takes me a while to get an appt. I've had no previous experience with this company. They are known locally for their work on VWs, so I took my Eurovan there for engine work. It took them over a week to diagnose and repair to faulty injectors, charged me for 5 hours of labor and $225 each for injectors I could have bought online from VW directly for $120. They also told me I also needed $800 worth of ball joints done to get a sticker. Had no previous issues with front end, not sure what the ball joint thing was all about. I told them to hold off and had the ball joints checked by my father's mechanic. He said the ball joints were completely fine and put an inspection sticker on it to boot. Bought a 2003 Toyota van from Autometrics the weekend before Christmas just when they were about to close for the holidays. I had a rental at the time that I wanted to get rid of and they had the car all ready for me the next morning. Since then I've put 17,000 miles on the van and been back twice for service. This place is a bunch of dishonest hacks. Brought my car in for an airbag sensor and paid several hundred to have it fixed..the sensor went back on immediately after leaving the shop. Brought it to another mechanic and it is an $8 light bulb fix. He even said that they must have not looked into fixing it at all because it was an obvious fix. Done with this place. read more
