We went to Anatolia searching for amazing authentic Turkish food. We most definitely found it. Our experience starts with our amazing waitress, Alice. She was super friendly and her recommendations were spot on. The food was soooooo delicious and make sure you leave room for dessert. The vibe and atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Just what we needed after a long work week. We will definitely be back. read more

The ambiance of this place is nice and cute for a date night but also seems fun if you want to have a birthday dinner or party here. The food was pretty good here. The Anatolia special mix was great! My favorite between the lamb and chicken in the platter was the chicken! It definitely has more flavor and moist. The lamb was cooked perfectly but the chicken was more seasoned. The lamb chop was perfectly cooked and was very tasty also! I loved the bulgar rice that is very well seasoned which was a great addition. Also don't skimp on that salad, the vinegar and sweetness of the salad are a great addition to cut all the meat! I would have to say what I could have done without is the Lahmacun. The thin dough was crispy and great texture but the ground lamb was lacking some flavor. I wish I had more space to order another appetizer but we were stuffed with both of those! It was cute that they gave us a little tea with our bill. The service was good too. The woman who helped us was serving the restaurant that night since it wasn't that busy for a Monday night but she was very polite and helpful! read more

Amazing food, service and ambiance. Would definitely be going back! The whole staff especially Alice was amazing.

Excellent in all possible ways! Excellent Food Excellent Ambience Excellent Service - the gentleman's providing it was a sophisticated world traveler by the name of Bulent. This restaurant will remain on our go-to list. I wish we had detected it earlier. read more

Ordered takeout from here and was very happy with the food. Highly recommend their chicken mixed grill as it allows you to sample their chicken adana kebab, chicken chops, and chicken shish kebab. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and flavorful. read more

Anatolia - Maxx and Valentina - amazing hosts - Mediterranean Near Me - West Hempstead, New York

We ordered via Door Dash for their lunch specials. It was our first time trying this place so it was disappointing. Perhaps it would have been better if we ate at the restaurant. Our lunch specials include an appetizer and an entree. Upon receiving our delivery, we noticed we didn't get 4 out of 5 appetizers from our lunch special. We also ordered an eggplant w/ sauce appetizer separately and that was no where to be found. Strange that if it was a lunch special set, how could they have forgotten or missed packing the appetizers? When we called the restaurant to inquire, they hung up the phone a few times. Finally the owner called us back and gave us a refund on the missing items but with no reason why it was missing in the first place. The chicken kebab was pretty good, and packed with flavor. However the portions were small. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant. Lunch specials portions were small, and the service was bad even without us dining into the restaurant! read more

food is excellent the restaurant laid back the service was great ambiance is Mediterranean and calming If I forced to give a suggestion on how they might improve my experience I would say to lower the volume of the music. The music is nice just a little loud. the falafel, lentil soup and pistachio rolls (dessert) were delicious! read more

Yesterday my husband and I were craving Turkish coffee, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a spot that offers Turkish coffee so close to home. We did not intend to order a meal, but we ended up doing so because the food looked so delicious! It did not disappoint. We had the falafel platter which came with hummus, two dipping sauces, grilled veggies and salad. The falafel was perfectly cooked, and the hummus and dipping sauces were so yummy! The coffee was perfect! Exactly what we were looking for. It definitely hit the spot. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly and greeted us immediately upon arrival. The ambiance is lovely, very chill with beautiful lighting and decor. We will be back again without a doubt. read more

Food is good, not great. The service was excellent. I have had better Mediterranean food but would still recommend this place.

I had a craving for Mediterranean food, my favorite Turkish place being too far for delivery, so I decided to give Anatolia a chance. I ordered through Door Dash. Food arrived about 25 minutes late, since they do their own delivery, it doesn't track through the app. Now to the food, it was good and satisfied my craving. The hummus was delicious, the chicken Adana was good, the Bulgar tasty and the salad very nice. The grape leaves were generic, and the bread was as well. I would def order from again, and prob try a few different things. read more

Not only is the food fantastic, but the aesthetic of this restaurant is really nice. It definitely had a " modern Istanbul" vibe... or at least I felt like I was back in Queens with other authentic ethnic restaurants. We arrived really hungry and we're not disappointed with the large plates of food! Highly recommended! read more

Just had a really disappointing experience - I recommended this place for dinner tonight because the last time I went, about a year ago, it was so good! Today, we got served food that seemed to be expired. Everything had a fermented, carbonated quality when it shouldn't. Hummus shouldn't crackle on your tongue. When I pointed it out to the server he said he'd served it earlier to no complaint, so I thought maybe it was just me. But the more I tried to enjoy it like I used to, the more I realized - I was just overly hungry when I walked in and would have never touched another bite in any other circumstance. We got our entree - chicken curry - and the chicken quality was such that my boyfriend described it as "scraps." We ate it but I had to pick out particularly bad pieces of chicken. It used to be white meat and creamy. Tonight it was greasy and we ate it because we were hangry - level starving. Overall it just felt kind of yucky and we won't be returning. Very unfortunate because it used to be some of the best Mediterranean on the island. If the restaurant responds, I'm sure they'll point out that we finished most of the food. This is true. I gaslighted myself into thinking it was just me, and I felt bad that we complained...plus, we didn't feel confident that they'd be able to provide a better substitute. Oh well. read more

The food was good. The lamb was seasoned very well and tasty. The chicken was good too, but probably could've used more seasoning? Idk but I've had Greek food from like the trucks and mom/pop restaurants in Astoria and they've tasted better. I gave 4 stars because they also forgot all our side orders of pita and my extra tzatziki sauce. read more

Not good, blent , not fresh food, service is not good, far from real Turkish cuisine. They managed to screw up babaganush we ordered chicken kebab and got chicken Adana. Girl said she was in training but didn't know anything about the menu, and didn't even bother to ask for help. Old interior. My son said he wants to leave because the place doesn't smell good. Anyway just don't waist your time and money! read more

Wonderful place for a romantic dinner with beautiful decor and exotic Mediterranean cuisine. There was an issue with the portion size of the dessert, the take out portion is so much bigger than the dine in portion but other than that, an amazing place for a good meal with loved ones read more

First time eating here& the service food & atmosphere was excellent. I love the rice pudding. I will definitely come back & recommend this restaurant. I'm giving 3 stars because I'm actually extremely disappointed at the amount of food we got for 45 dollars. We ordered delivery and once we got the food it was literally like the size of two personal takeout containers. I have ordered from other mediteranean restaurants before and I have had great food with great value. This is one of those places, where if you don't mind spending an arm and a leg for a small portion of food you would enjoy this place. read more

I went there with my family. My husband ordered the lamb mixed grilled. He found a hair in his food. After showing it to the waitress he still continued to eat the food. And again came across another hair. When we showed the waitress again she apologized and said "they can make you a fresh one right now. This food is from yesterday." We decided to pay the bill and leave. The waitress gave us some complimentary desserts and apologized again. When we looked at the dessert...again more hair were found. I had a very bad stomach upset for the entire day. I had the kabab. First and last time to this restaurant. We did recommend the chef and kitchen staff to wear a hair net before we left the restaurant. read more

I can understand that during this pandemic that You might be busier so I tried to be reasonable before writing this review. I called just after 6pm and asked how long delivery would take and they told me 60-90 min. I asked how long pick up would be and they said 15-20 min. I placed my order on GrubHub for pick up since we had a coupon and was told 6:40-6:50 pick up. Just to give them some more slack I arrived at 7:00 to pick up the food. They told me it wasn't ready and I would have to wait another 15 minutes @ minimum. It's a shame because I was looking for a nice new Turkish place to get my cravings fixes. I'll think twice before coming here again. And it's a shame, because I haven't even eaten their food yet. I'll try them out again and update and edit my review as needed after my next order. For now, service caused a 1* review. Edit: added. Owner responded that it was late because of too many orders. I know why my order was late. I just didn't expect you to lie and tell me it would be ready 40 min earlier just so you wouldn't lose business. You could be honest and say it will take 1 hour for pick up also. Also when I got home I got lettuce instead of parsley for the lahmacun and 3 slices of tomatoes for 8 pieces of lahmacun. Edit again: my wife tried to give them a second chance today and placed a delivery order 3 hours in advance: they cancelled her order and refused to take it. LOL.. there goes second chances.. read more

The food at Anatolia is exceptional! My all time favorite appetizer are the chicken wings and red lentil soup! Taste buds have not tasted great chicken wings until it has savored Anatolia's. It was my birthday, and the ambiance was a quiet elegance. The waiter and two others came marching in with great musical fanfare and serenaded me with "Happy Birthday" sounding a bit like the Three Tenors. Want an unforgettable dining experience? Excellent lamb preparation though portions are a tad small. The lamb chops, kofte, shish kebabs, and adana are good though can variably be a tad over cooked (which may be a consequence of ordering take out). House bread is great, thinner and lighter than typical pitas. Everyone must try the lahmacun and the kusbasilli pie. read more

Authentic Turkish cuisine. Great music and friendly fast service. The decor is a bit dated but the food makes up for it.

The main dish was tasty, thought the lamp chops abit over cooked! The cigars were fried twice! I can tell the pastry was extra oily and brown, the worst thing the kunafa dessert was dry no syrup even though I asked for extra! And no cheese inside! read more
