Food was great but service was very slow. Had to wait for a long time to give our order and the food took long to come out.

I have to say this time I went to Anatolia was pure disappointment. My family and I always come to this restaurant for any occasion or celebration, and it's always been a great time with great food. My family and I went last weekend for lunch, and from the beginning it was a disaster. Waiter coming back and forth for FOUR times, let me repeat that FOUR times to repeat the order, mind you it was only 6 of us so not like we had crazy amount of orders for the waiter to come back and forth regarding this matter, besides what's the point of writing it down in the first place? The sad part wasn't even this, once the food came the waitress dropped all the sauces all over our pants of my husband and me and not ONCE apologized, instead kept asking where should she put the remaining food that didn't fall on the floor, at that point I felt like letting the staff know to put the food on my head. I have never experienced this kind of hospitality from Anatolia. We celebrated multiple birthdays, my cousins engagement in this restaurant and always had a great time, so I don't know what is wrong with the afternoon staff there, but being courteous to your customers and apologizing to them especially when you have ruined their clothes should be common sense or please properly train your staff. read more

Its very hard to explain how amazing and great this place is. I dont know where to begin . I have ate here more than 12 times in the past month and i havnt seem to even get enough . Such amazing quality of food , well prepared and very delicious . I recommend you order the lamb mix grill and side order of doner . Mouthwatering and heavenly good . The lamb chops, kofte, shish kebabs, and adana are good though can variably be a tad over cooked (which may be a consequence of ordering take out). Great food, friendly service and highly recommended! I was part of a party 7 and this was out first time at Anatolia. We will 100% be back. The cigar borek and babaghonush were really done well. I had the delicious chicken curry with rice and my wife had the Manti lamb dumplings which I can also confirm is a great choice. The rest of our party had kebab and lamb dishes. Absolutely mind blowing! I was impressed by their atmosphere, and most importantly the QUALITY of their food. Let's start off by saying thank you to the lovely staff that took care of the party of 11 from last night, you guys did a great job dealing with us and making sure we got everything we needed. I ordered the Lamb mixed grill and it included their delicious, mouth watering lamb Adana, lamb Shish, and lamb chop! Everything was perfect from that first bite of their signature Turkish rice to their salad, which I was impressed by because some restaurants usually serve lousy salads but this one knocked it out of the park! Went to Anatolia last week and my experience was great! Food and service was exceptional. Prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was pretty amazing! We ordered 2 different appetizers and 4 main courses and 2 desserts. And we also had complimentary turkish tea. Each dish was very flavorful and fresh. Only disappointment was the kunefe, it was a bit cold and the cheese was not "melty" at all, kind of like a cold cheese in the middle. Overall, I highly recommend this place! 10/10 read more

I can't believe I just discovered this restaurant. Let me just start off by saying the service here is 10/10. The servers (especially Valentina) were SO sweet, accommodating and attentive. Anytime we needed anything she was there with a smile. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and they even brought out a dessert and sang happy birthday to her before I even asked! My sister was so happy and felt so special. On to the food: DELICIOUS. We ordered a few dishes of lamb doner, lamb adana, chicken adana, and mantu. Everything was so flavorful. They also gave us naan to start and it was so fresh and crispy. Honestly the best Turkish food I've had here in the US--all of us were genuinely impressed. Also, the portions were great. Left full and satisfied. Staff were all gloved and wearing masks, and they also offered us hand sanitizer. We felt very comfortable dining indoors seeing their safety protocols. I was going to post a google review but then I realized that the owner is going off on people who don't agree with the quality of his food, so I decided to Yelp instead. Food isn't bad, servers are super nice, mezes (appetizers) are delicious but the lahmacun is horrendous though. I grew up eating lahmacun and it's probably my favorite thing to eat. We ordered about $70.00 worth of food back in November and threw out the 6 lahmacuns we purchased unfortunately, I'm a person who HATES to waste food, I grew up better than that. Please fix your lahmacun's crust as well as its filling, because after having such good appetizers, the lahmacun just really really let me down. My husband back in November convinced me NOT to write a review, but ever since I saw those google reviews I decided to bring my truth. We like to support small businesses, and especially those who are in our communities, but this doesn't mean they're exempt from the truth. Ordered almost $80 worth of food for myself and family this evening . Spoke to a woman to get delivery info so we can stand outside for their driver-it was dark out and wanted to assist them in finding our house number. She aggressively replied with, "what do you want? whats wrong with the order?" After I re-explained why I called she said "he's on the way already". I decided to just leave it as is. Halfway through eating our fish we noticed this at the bottom of the take out tin. There are still some labels that contain barcodes that will still have BPA (a carcinogen) on them. (You're probably thinking-'you're ordering takeout, you're worried about the health risks of a label being present in your food?' Well yeah, one is a health-conscious made decision and the other is following basic public health policy.) In addition, the bread was stale and the other items we ordered were dry according to family members who ate it. The kunefe was pretty good though! Probably the best I've had on Long Island. Went for dinner this evening and everything we ordered was AMAZING!! We started with the hummus/falafel and fries. Their house bread was fresh and warm--so good! I got the chicken adana/chicken shish platter with brown rice--wow! It was probably the best Turkish meal I've ever had. Each bite packed so much flavor. My bf got the falafel sandwich and my mom got the grilled salmon--both of them loved their meals as well. We then ended our meal with the baklava, rice pudding, Turkish coffee and tea--all delish! A hidden gem. Tonight we started with an order of falafel with hummus. The falafel was delicious and the hummus was nicely spiced. I had the chicken shish kebab plate with salad and white rice. The chicken was moist tender and delicious. My wife had chicken Adana with bulger and roasted vegetables. There are so many tempting dishes on the menu, yet we continue to order our favorites because they are so good. They have an eggplant with tomato appetizer which comes spicy but you can order it mild - again delicious. I'm gluten free so the Kazandibi custard makes a great dessert to share! It is a little off the beaten path, and it has its own brightly lit parking lot. People are catching on to this flavorful spot, but you can still easily get a table on a Friday night. read more

Ordered a couple of dinners and soup for Uber delivery. The special mix dinner was over $30 and a chicken shish kabob dinner was $21+. I ordered two different types of rice and hummus on the side. The portion sizes were very small and we were missing a rice and hummus. Uber Eats does not take responsibility and despite two attempts at contacting the restaurant, there was no resolution. Food - Excellent standard. Wine - initial glass of white was close to cloudy battery acid... Replacement was nice - The red was acceptable, as a cheap wine, although clearly from a bottle opened more than a day ago (maybe these guys don't sell a lot of wine?). There was no price list for the wine, so given the quality, would have expected $5-6 per glass Service - As the restaurant wasn't busy, we found we had a waiter and two waitresses, all trying to be helpful but getting a little confused. One main arrived and a side, then almost five minutes later the second main arrived (poor communication between the chef and the 3 waiting staff) The bill - Food was priced at under $50 for the two dishes. But after a glass of wine each and the service charge, this had more than doubled to almost $100 I don't mind paying $12-15 a glass for the best wine, but this was not close I also don't mind paying 20% service charge, but this was not clear until the bill arrived. Ambience - The Muzak in the background was suitable and of the right level so that we could talk during our meal. Didn't read reviews until we arrived home, and can see that we're not the first to identify the disappointment in the hidden service charge. Three stars because the place isn't a million miles from being a really good place to eat. Staff - appoint one server per table (when we ate, there were 3 waiting staff and 3 parties eating) Wine - Taste it - If it tastes musty, don't expect great reviews if your trying to sell it at $15 a glass (excluding service charge). With the exception of few home made wines, they're supposed to be clear. If it tastes close to vinegar, it's probably part is sell by date too. Tell people how much you expect for it too. Service charge - If your going to charge it (and max it out), make sure your customers know about it up front. read more

If it was possible to give no stars, I would. Firstly, they claimed that they had no white rice at 7:30 pm on a Saturday and didn't bother to tell us when we ordered. Instead, they brought our food to the table with brown rice and waited for us to point out that we had ordered white rice and, only after returning to the kitchen to change the rice, returned to the table to ridiculously advise that they had run out of white rice. Before that, they had only brought out one of the two appetizers we had ordered. When I pointed out how absurd it was for a restaurant to claim that is had run out of a staple such as rice. The owner apparently operates in a shoestring and didn't possess enough business sense to come to our table to apologize.
