My wedding party scrambled on the day of my wedding to find another dessert option for my guests. Thankfully my outstanding food caterer came up with other amazing dessert options on the spot, but that does not save the time and energy spent by my coordinator and wedding party to figure out what was going on. The Sweet Side was (is not any longer) a preferred vendor at my wedding venue, so we ordered a three tier wedding cake for my wedding, went through all the steps, tasting, contract, payment etc, and the cake was never delivered on the day of my wedding. My husband, wedding coordinator, family, friends were all calling, emailing, and trying to reach the bakery to no avail. We heard absolutely nothing, and spent some of the day wondering if we had placed the order for the wrong day, or were scammed. The morning after the wedding we received a long apology email and a refund (the bare minimum). After I suggested / asked, Kara made us the cake we had ordered that I could share with my family and friends that were still in town after the wedding. It was a beautiful and delicious cake, but an exceptional failure for there to be no cake delivered on the day of the wedding, and there was never a reason why. I'm really sorry this happened.
