The AmTex three-man team arrived the following week and proceeded to address all of the issues previously identified and discovered a few others in the process, which they promptly addressed. We realized we had a rat in our family room wall at 10 pm. We called the business number to leave a message and to our surprise the owner picked up. He was very kind and accommodating, and was at our house the next day within 12 hrs of our first discovering we even had a rat. The owner thoroughly checked our property, gave his opinions, and scheduled our work to be done within the week. What we appreciated the most was that he was very fair in pricing, telling us we didn't need to go with the most expensive option bc we didn't need it. His team even went on the second story of our roof to patch openings (ones that a team when we first moved in missed). All in all, they did excellent work and we were very happy. Not gonna lie, I've dealt with rodent issues for years and tried a bunch of companies before this, nothing ever actually fixed it. Amtex Rodent Solutions was the first one that came in and handled it like a permanent solution, not some temporary patch. I called several pest companies to do some work in Borrego Springs. There are only a couple of local pest people here so I was looking to find one who willing to service this area. AmTex called back and said they were willing to come out for an additional charge of $50 for the extra distance. I was fine with that. The appointment was set. I quit calling other pest people and made plans to be there that day. One the day of the appointment there was a total no-show - no call, nobody arrived, and no response to any phone calls or texts. Multiple calls were made - two during the expected time window and a few after to see what happened. Two days later no response, all calls ignored. You would think that if they wanted to cancel the appointment they could have called me back to let me know. Instead though I got completely "ghosted". That's a first. I'd like to update my review based on some new information and a recent customer service outreach. First off, my wife and I moved to NYC in 2019. I think in retrospect, at the time when I wrote my review, I had been dealing with things in my personal life that were stressing me out. I don't think I made enough effort to resolve the situation or understand it. Although my experience was still valid, I could have probably made more attempts to reach out or cancel the service at the time, rather than get upset with the company. I do want to add that for the 1.5 years that we were a customer Hunts Pest Control, our experience was fantastic. We had no complaints whatsoever. The service person was usually on-time, and would spray exactly where we requested, and the pricing was excellent. Now that we've moved away, in comparison to pest services we've received in NY, I honestly really miss the difference in quality service from Hunts / Am Tex. Hailey the receptionist is informative and kind. We had so much cricket and spider problems in our old apartment and she advised that inside spraying won't do the trick the outside really matters. We have a house in the mountains ( Mount Laguna) that had been vacant for a while. A couple months ago, we started going back up. There was mouse poop everywhere, and we even had little mice running through the living room as we tried to relax in the evenings. Yuck! After a bit of searching, we found Christian. We had another pest control coming out bi-monthly and we had an ant breakout but when I asked for service they cancelled my contract letting us know we were no longer in their service area. Yelp of course! After reading so many detailed and raving reviews I was convinced that Hunt's Pest Solutions would be a wise choice. As other reviews pointed out it all begins in their office with Haley. My home was having a remodel and the contractor recommended we spray frame for bugs before drywall was installed. I phoned Hunt's and spoke with Haley. She understood exactly what was required and gave me a discounted price as it did not involve also spraying outdoor landscaping. Hunt's technician Luis arrived at appointed time and took time to walk the site with me to understand exactly what was desired. I was impressed with this tine consuming step. Many companies simply show up, spray and then leave. I appreciated this upfront time to get on the same page. Talking with Luis I was very much impressed with his technical knowledge. Now that my home remodel is complete, I again phoned Haley to schedule an ongoing bi-monthly service which covers the house and yard. Again, Luis arrived on time and walked the home and yard with me to understand changes since initial visit. Moving forward my wife and I will not have to be present as Hunt's Pest Solutions now has everything on automatic. Also, Hunt's provides no cost interim visits should any pest problem arise. Okay for once Yelp didn't let me down with endless delusional five star reviews. I really appreciate Hunt's Pest Solutions. Rhonda was very helpful on the phone and was able to get us an appointment within two days of my call which to me is outstanding. We get ants every year and the guy we were using just stopped returning our phone calls for some reason. We have used him for 20 years but poof suddenly he went off the grid. I looked on Yelp out of desperation and was getting ready to resort to Google Reviews until I saw the reviews for Hunts. Excellent customer service and they are very understanding about health concerns if you don't want them spraying in doors. We may have to call them back in a month but I don't care, we get a bad ant problem every year due to the heat and some times spraying one time doesn't fix the issue right away. I will definitely use them again, we gave them a check, they also take credit cards after they complete their service at your home.
