I love history and a good drink.. i'm staying down the street from this little pub and came in late one night from Cali .. It was the only place we can get food after 10 o'clock in the neighborhood, typical bar food. They have everything from wings to quesadillas and a fully stock bar... the weight staff was super friendly. The vibe is like an old Irish bar, but it's really cool..? It's a little pricey, but the service was good.. The food was just OK..

This is your regular sports bar that has plenty of tvs to enjoy the games that are on. They have plenty of bar seating. My friends and I were actually on the other side of the bar in a little nook area. We were only there for drinks but someone across the way from us got wings which smelled unbelievable! My friends seemed to enjoy their drinks while I did enjoy my beer. Fun spot to come with friends to eat and drink.

Great sports venue. Watched the World Series here. Got the pulled pork sandwich. It's a little drippy and so the sandwich kinda fell apart. Good tho. The sweet potato fries are a little soft and mushy.

ALLAGASH !! please please try it I am not big on beer usually. I never knew what type of beer I liked or cared enough to find out...however when I tried Allagash ..wow I have never drank beer that fast. Allagash is light, and not bitter at all. I wish they sold it in Texas :') Like I said, I wasn't big on beer so I'm not sure how to explain it in beer terms or do it justice with words. I know my taste buds may be biased but I believe this is in their happy hour menu so if you're iffy about paying full price for it, just try it during their happy hour. Food wise.. the NACHOS wow are they PACKED! they load the nachos up and at the end put it in the oven to melt the cheese on top. it does not make the chips under soft. I know the reviews here are not the best but my experience there has been great so I hope whoever reads this will give them a shot :)

Fish and Fish & Chips

We are here brunch time on a late Sunday morning. We sat on the patio. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower. The table agreed that this was one of the best Buffalo cauliflowers we have had. The batter was a nice thin crunchy layer, the cauliflower still had some texture and the tasty sauce clung nicely to the "wings". My daughter has the Cuban sandwich. The pork had a great herbaceous flavor. The rosemary was present but it didn't overwhelm the pork. My wife had the nachos, they were good but the ground beef was under seasoned. I had the fish and chips. My dish was good but the fish and the fries needed salt. Overall the meal was a solid 4. I would visit again, next time we are in town.

Great selection of beers on tap and very personable bartenders! Multiple TVs to watch a variety of shows/sports.

Mediocre food and unfriendly service. Bathrooms need a serious upgrade. I should have read the reviews before hand.

Peter McManus is very consistent. The woman behind the bar seemed to be serving the whole pub, but…read moreshe was handling it as best she could and displayed the best attitude she could. Fortunately, it was an early Sunday evening and the patrons had not slammed the place. I ordered a nice draught pint and the chicken wings, extra crispy, which they were. However, they could accompany them with a few carrot and celery sticks for the great blue cheese dip. The bed of shredded lettuce had to do. The kitchen was again in good form, when I ordered the grilled Reuben with fries. Food here is not skimpy and I had half the Reuben and fries to go. There are better Reubens in this City, but your attention here is on the televised sports, conversation with your date or friends, people watching, or the Irish pub scene generally. The value proposition is well and good here. I ordered the pork chops and lamb chops to go with mashed potatoes, broccoli and salad. Both are delicious, even better than the lauded Reuben actually. Add in another beer and the bill topped out just under a Benjamin before taxes and tip, again we are in Midtown or Chelsea. Two things: Their website does not work if you want delivery and they only answered the phone once for delivery; though, I have tried several times. Some may not like the narrow men's restroom, but this is a pub in a city with plenty of small facilities and this is not a fancy establishment. Come and enjoy yourself.

Our waitress, Eleni, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations that enhanced our visit. The food and drinks were outstanding. I ordered the Fried Chicken Mac-N-Cheese along with an Arnold Palmer, and the mac and cheese was truly the best I've ever had! We were so impressed with Eleni's service that we made sure to share our compliments with the manager, who was also a pleasure to speak with. In fact, we even suggested opening a location in Houston, TX! We absolutely loved our experience and would definitely come back again. Such a cute and quaint place.

Fortunately, The Grey Dog's Chelsea location had a large picnic table in the back (and yes, we had to make a reservation in advance). Even so, the seating was a bit tight and uncomfortable. FRIED CHICKEN & JOHNNY CAKES - 18 I wanted a mix of sweet and savory, so this option seemed like a good one. Each order came with two strips of fried chicken tenders placed on top of two large cornmeal pancakes, each bigger than my face. The fried chicken was heavily-breaded (perhaps a bit too much), with white chicken meat underneath that varied between juicy and dry The pancakes themselves were pretty forgettable, and I wasn't a big fan of the lemon ricotta or chili-spiced syrup on the side. Most of our group found their entrees pretty underwhelming. Additionally, service was really slow, and the kitchen forgot an order. Personally, I wouldn't return, especially with so many other great options within two minutes walk away. Edit: Owner pointed out that their chicken is not breaded. What I meant is that the chicken is heavily-battered. Sorry!

The unmarked entrance and doorbell immediately set the tone, and once inside it feels like you stepped out of Manhattan and into a dark, old New York cocktail lounge. The velvet seating, curtains, low lighting, and little private nooks make the whole place feel intimate without being gimmicky. That atmosphere is very much intentional. The Chelsea location is the original Raines Law Room and is built around that hidden speakeasy experience. The cocktails were beautifully presented, and I liked that this felt like a place where you could actually sit with friends and have a conversation rather than compete with loud music. We also ordered some meat, cheese, olives, and crackers for the table, which was perfect alongside the drinks without turning the night into a full dinner. What stood out most to me was how cohesive everything felt. The drinks, glassware, lighting, service style, and decor all fit the same mood. It feels refined and special without trying too hard. Pay special attention to the bathroom wall art. Definitely not an inexpensive night out, but for a true New York cocktail bar experience, I thought Raines Law Room was absolutely worth visiting. This would be especially good for a date night or drinks with a small group.

We actually came mainly for the shepherd's pie because it looked incredible, but unfortunately it didn't taste quite as good as it looked. I honestly didn't know what to expect because when you first read "chicken pot pie empanadas," it sounds a little questionable, but they completely surprised us.
