MOST EXPENSIVE GAS BY 50 cents! No thank you during these hard times! The cash price was still almost 6 dollars!

January 5, 2025 @ 7:45pm. I stopped by tonight to cash in a couple of lottery tickets. I waited in line behind two other customers for quite a while. The cashier was pretty talkative/flirtatious with the ladies in front of me which was annoying because I just wanted to get the heck out of there, as did the growing line behind me. Once it was my turn, I put my three lottery tickets on the counter. The cashier (I think his name tag said Alex) said that he didn't have any money left to pay out lottery tickets. He was being such a doofus with the other customers so I assumed he was only kidding. I laughed and waited for him to say he was joking. He didn't. I asked how he had no cash at all while running a business. He said he had cash for other customers, just none for lottery winners. He hadn't even asked how much my tickets were! For all he knew, it was $3! I asked him why he allowed me to wait in that long line when he saw me scanning my tickets as soon as I came in. He didn't answer. I remembered the last time I went in a few months ago, they said the same thing about not having money to pay lottery winners. I am going to contact the lottery commissioner because this seems super scammy. They'll sell you the tickets, but will make you go elsewhere to cash them. I hope people stop going to this place as they seem super shady! read more

Every thing is more expensive than any other Am Pm . 7 lb bag of ice was 2.99 last week, this week went up to 5.99 . That's double in one week , we are talking about frozen water. Gas is more expensive than any other station around. Don't be fooled by it being an Am Pm. read more

Very convenient if you're heading 78 east as it's right off the Plaza Blvd exit. The times I have gone here has never been busy. I like visiting this Arco only because there are lots of fast food restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There Jack on one side, and Ronald on the other (McDonalds). Tacos and fries... The name says it all and you shouldn't have to yelp this. A few key things to know. Their parking lot is crap, more rubble than actual blacktop, but unlike many ARCO AMPM's the pumps are pretty new, clean of all that advertising and grime. Like all other ARCO's one of the payment modules is always broke or won't print or something. Gas is usually cheaper in price and the consensus is lower quality as well. PROTIP: If you're going east on the 78 and exit Plaza and want to get back on the 78 you can't make a left from the western enterance, but go down one to the 2nd otherwise you'll have to make a tight u-turn. Inside is bright, but a little grungy throughout. Staff is generally good and helpful, but i would not eat anything from here that isn't sealed, gas station hot dogs and burgers are not the business. Small water selection. That never has sales on my preferred junk items. They have diesel. Costco is usually the cheapest gas around and it's a quarter mile down the road, 1 more exit. Purchased gas along with a car wash. Head into get the car wash and it's closed. Head in to get a refund and I'm told they cannot provide one. Apparently you can purchase a car wash 24-7 but you can only use your car wash until it closes at 7pm. Anyone see a problem here? I don't even live in Vista this car wash ticket is useless! Why can't they provide a refund for a service they can sell but not provide? Sounds like a scam. I purchased the Speedy Sams Carwash as I was typically in this area when I went to Church on Sunday. It went well for while but then I noticed that it seemed to constantly be closed.Since I do not live in the area but was there on weekends I found that I was simply paying for a service that I could never use. Then since the virus happened and I had not been going to church this service really became unnecessary. I did try to go to the car wash over 4 times but it was always closed. As I mentioned I do not live in the area so I called to cancel the membership. Now apparently they are all smiles until you try to cancel. I called the gas station and they transferred me to the car wash. The car wash guy started yelling at me and hung up! What??! This is what you can expect if you become a car wash member here. Please learn from my mistake. I wouldn't give a dime to this place. read more

Don't get carwashes or gas there, they will rip you off. Sam is a con-man. His kindness is a fake and they will double charge you on your transactions month to month. If you have them confirm cancellation for you they will tell you they have, but will not. BE CAREFULL!! They're slick and lazy. Be CAREFULL!! a lot of bums and junkies hang out there trying to scam you or get money from you and a trashy place all together. Sam is very much a con, he is a manger there. He doesn't keep the place clean nor does he do anything up, ( like the bathroom, used needles, etc...), but he sits in the back and run the carwash. Very Lazy!!! read more

decent gas prices I usually fill up when I get my famous California burrito next door. They totally changed it up the parking lot recently and its much better now. Dont smoke anymore but they had A-ok prices on that and air and water for car is free. Will update my review once the convenience store portion opens up read more

The island where you pay to pump never reads my card. I've tried two different cards and neither work so I need to bring cash each time I come by here. Other friends say they don't have a problem so I don't know what the deal is. The attendants inside are friendly enough and it's right down the street from home. My checking-in to this gas station with roadside food was an outcome of my own doing. If I didn't have that cup of coffee, if I had used the facilities earlier, if I didn't watch Big Bang Theory and thus wasn't reminded by Sheldon Cooper of the purchase obligation. The facility was clean, but graffiti'd; the hot water nob actually dispensed what it was labeled to do; overall, not bad. Having stopped by twice before without fulfilling the purchase obligation, I felt inclined to complete my part of the social obligation. I purchased two hot dogs, they were on sale (2 for $2). They were not great, but not bad, in the end they were fair. read more

Usually has gas at much higher prices than other ARCOs or Costco, so I never buy gas here. Whenever I am in the area, however, I play the Scratch Power game and sometimes win a free coffee. Their free coffee is very good ! Seriously, the folks who work here are always nice, even when I do not buy anything - did I mention free coffee !!!! read more

Just went at 945 ish swiped my card at the pump but it said see cashier and when I tried to go in they were counting money due to change of shift the doors were locked so I left but because my card info was still pending they had the nerve to try to take $100 from my account thankfully my bank caught it and asked if it was me smh the employees tried to take money from me smh I won't ever put gas here again!!!!!!! Speedy Sam's was great!! Quick and fast car wash. Super happy with the job. It only took about 2-3mins with cars in front of us.

They charge a fee to use your visa check card and if you want to use cash, the machines are never working. That to me is so frustrating. I'll gladly pay a few cents more per gallon elsewhere, where everything works all the time. read more

My wife won a free drink on the ampm app and went inside to claim it. Now we have won over 10 drinks and never had to pay anything. The cashier goes that will be .02. Which isn't even tax. My wife didn't have any change in her so she went to grab .02 out of the take a penny cup and she goes that's not for customers to take advantage. HORRIBLE!!!!! Never going here again read more
