I'm not sure who picked up the phone, but it was a man, and I asked him, "hi, is it possible for you give me a quote if I know the carpet I want as well as the measurements?" And he said "no we don't do that, you'd have to come here to the store and I could give you a quote because we don't go to the homes to do the measurements." And I said "oh i see. I mean I know the yards and it's measured by another professional and I know the carpet too so I thought maybe it'll just be easier." And he said condescendingly, "that's actually more of a reason to come to the store to get the quote." And so I said okay. So I went to the store and I spoke with JD and although he is a nice person, I went in with all the info, he said that he could come out to do the measurements (inconsistently information). I said great, seems to be better than talking to the guy over the phone, but when he gave me the quote, it was 900 dollars more than another quote that I got. And it was based on the same amount of yards. He said he didn't charge for moving furniture, but no shit, it's all included in the inflated price. What actually makes me frustrated is that he knew I just recently installed carpet about 8 months ago, have a fresh idea of pricing, knowledgable about carpets, and clearly have another carpet company to do business with, but he still tried to upscale his pricing like we are idiots, which in my opinion, is an idiot move as a business owner. It tells me that they rip off people in general, but they're also not smart business owners if they're trying to rip off people who knows their shit. Go somewhere else because they are not honest in their pricing. FYI, he also said someone in their store has a good relationship with the carpet company that I wanted, which was just his way of lying and saying "we will get you a good price" SYKEEEEE. Anyway, don't waste your time here.
