Michael did an amazing job with our IKEA kitchen cabinets installation. I could not be happier with the quality of work, knowledge, and communication that we received throughout the project. Michael goes above and beyond to solve any problems and to make sure you are happy with your cabinets. I will definitely be using him again for any future projects, and I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for cabinet installation. read more

MC Wood Works - Cabinetry Near Me

Can't say enough about the quality work done by MC Woodworks!! We started on the Ikea cabinet journey to update our kitchen in late June of 2022 and it took months to get all the pieces in, but in the meantime I had reached out to Olivia and Michael to see about installation. They were so fabulous through the whole process providing a quote and overview of their process and were flexible with scheduling as we were challenged to get our last few pieces in from Ikea. The install -- for our size kitchen it took two days. Michael and his colleague were prompt in showing up early/on time and worked hard each day to get everything situated. I swear he could build a SUBMARINE with how exact his measurements are and how perfect everything was placed. This turned out better than I could imagine -- truly Michael is a master of his craft, and incredibly knowledgeable and kind to answer all my questions throughout the process. Would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

MC Wood Works was recommended to us by our kitchen planner and we're so glad they did. There is no way we could have put our Ikea kitchen together let do it almost single-handed like Michael. Michael installed our cabinets plus custom fronts with great care. Everything was measured to a T. A lot of pieces had to be cut down to fit and he did it with no problems. He really exceed all expectations! Also wanted to give a shout-out to their project manager Olivia, the politest and most professional person I've ever had the pleasure of emailing. She made sure to follow up appropriately and never left us hanging. They're also extremely upfront and transparent with their prices. I wish everyone was as easy to work with as MC Wood Works! read more

MC Wood Works - Kitchen cabinet bar design in the living room - Cabinetry Near Me

We recently remodeled the kitchen with IKEA cabinets. After designing our kitchen with IKEA, they told us they no longer offer installation services or had a recommended list of installers, so we went to yelp to look for installers that specialized in IKEA cabinets. MC Wood Works came up with a high rating and also great reviews, so we reached out for a quote. We sent Michael and Olivia our IKEA purchase list and the 3D planning link, and they got us a quote very quickly. After reviewing multiple quotes, we went with MC Wood Works for their cost, communication, and timing. Michael showed up on time and reviewed his game plan with us for the full install. He opened up all the boxes and organized his workspace very efficiently. At the start of the job, Michael noticed that IKEA had some inaccuracies in their plan and dimensions, and he gave us his input to remedy the issues. Michael finished the install in 2 days and we were very satisfied with the end result! We booked a 2nd appointment for toekicks and finishing touches since we had a flooring project that prevented Michael from installing the toekicks. I also have to give a shoutout to their project manager, Olivia. She is super friendly, kept the project on schedule, communicated with us throughout the entire project, and just a pleasure to work with! I initially dreaded looking for a contractor due to all the horror stories I've read online. I'm so glad and lucky to have found MC Wood Works and I would definitely work with Michael/Olivia again for any future projects. read more

WOW, where do I even start?! This company deserves all the stars and more. Olivia, Michael and their crew are the perfect example of professionalism. Their customer service is A-1! They are honest hardworking people and I have no doubt whenever I have another project, I will be calling them. My money was definitely well spent with them, totally worth it. I personally think they are business smart for cornering the market when it comes to installing and working with IKEA brand cabinets because it is so niche. The contractors I contacted before deciding on IKEA, worked with specific vendors and manufacturers. A lot of them did not have experience working with IKEA cabinets or refused to because the way they are assembled and installed is non-traditional. Remodeling a kitchen is already stressful in itself, but I knew I was in good hands with MC Wood Works. They made it easy, seamless and smooth. I couldn't have asked for more. They are experts with IKEA cabinets and have years of experience with them. They know how to modify and customize it to utilize and fit your space perfectly. Like I mentioned, I opted for IKEA kitchen cabinets when it came to this project and MC Wood Works is one of the very few companies that you can hire for installation in the area, so I suggest hiring them for any service relating to IKEA products. I would advise against doing it yourself or even hiring someone NOT familiar with IKEA products. It can end up a disaster. From working with Olivia on pricing and scheduling to working with Michael and his crew on site, it was all such a great experience. Super friendly, professional, accommodating, organized, walked me through everything and advised me when any issues arose. Although there were some hiccups in the pieces I ordered and finding the right measurements for what I wanted, he is truly an expert at what he does. He had to come back twice and didn't mind, although I felt bad because it was my mistake. Nevertheless he was very helpful and nice. Before the project, they made sure to cover the ground/floors they were working on to prevent any damage and make the clean up a breeze. Communication from initial contact, proposal and completion was great as well! Communication on projects like these are key. We were all on the same page as far as deliverables, schedules, rates from beginning to end. I called, texted and emailed them numerous amount of times with questions and they were always happy to help. Payment transaction was via Venmo, which made it a super easy and quick transaction. We got a custom kitchen from a 5-star company with a professional and expert crew at a great price. I'm so happy I found them on Yelp and was able to still give them business especially during the pandemic (mind you this project was August 2020). But most importantly I'm appreciative and thankful that they made time for us on their schedule. They blessed our very first new home with their service and talent. No one does it better! I can't believe I forgot to write them this review last year, but the reason it came up again, is I've hired them to do our IKEA bathroom vanity cabinets next month. I'm so excited because I have complete confidence and trust in their work and what they do. My bathroom remodel is going to come out FIREEEEE. I'll update with pics when it's done in May ya'll. At this point, it's obvious, I can't rave about them enough! If you've made it to the end of my novel review, THANK YOU. Hope you enjoyed it. I'll just end it here. LOL read more

We purchased an Ikea kitchen and were told that their installation company was unavailable for at least six months. We did some research online for another company, and were impressed with the reviews received by MC Wood Works, their quick response to our inquiry about their availability, and their pricing. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. Michael (and his dad and his assistant) did the most incredible job on our cabinets. Michael went above and beyond, ensuring that everything was perfect, which was no easy task given our imperfect walls, Ikea's mis-measuring, and my impossible standards. Thanks to Michael and his team, the kitchen looks incredible. I can't imagine what a nightmare this project would have been without his expertise. His professionalism, perfectionism, friendliness, and great sense of humor made it a surprisingly easy process. Oliva, who coordinated the appointments, was also lovely to work with, and always replied to our texts and emails without delay. We can't remember the last time we had such excellent service from a vendor. We can attest that the reviews are genuine, and they truly deserve their 5-star rating. read more

I can't say enough good things about MC Wood Works. Michael and Olivia are both very professional and friendly to work with. Their costs are all up front and itemized, no surprise at the end. I had them install my IKEA kitchen. From the beginning till the end, communications was prompt and responsive. Kudos Olivia! Michael and his team installed my kitchen in just 2 days. They did an excellent job. I couldn't be happier with the result. Michael even came back twice at no charge to adjust the filler under the sink because our counter top installer needed to have the sink raised. Now, that's what we called good after sales service. If you need to have your kitchen cabinets installed, you can't go wrong with MC Wood Works. Thank you Olivia and Michael. read more

We had our Ikea kitchen cabinets installed by Michael. He did a great job and was very communicative while doing his job. He made sure that we were happy with everything. The only thing I was not quite happy about was the scheduling. After the installation, he would come back to attach the pulls and the toe kicks. We also had a piece missing, so I had to get that, But the next appointment that they gave me was 5 weeks after installation. I understand they are very busy but maybe they could solve this issue by scheduling two appointments one or two weeks apart. They were able to move my appointment later, but it was still 4 weeks later. Other that that we are very happy how our kitchen turned out. I would recommend Michael to anyone who would like to have their Ikea cabinets installed. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this company and their work. We hired Michael to install our IKEA kitchen cabinets during our remodel. The company that IKEA sets people up with has awful reviews, so I decided to find my own installers. Super efficient team and methods of assembly and installing. Due to a couple measuring inaccuracies on my part, Michael had to get creative and cut a couple cabinets to make it work. Our kitchen looks custom because he really knows what he is doing. We were so pleased we had Michael back to install IKEA cabinets and drawers in an alcove for my son's closet. Michael really gave it nice finishing touches and the cabinets and drawers look truly *built in*. Shout out to Olivia on the business side, she is a pleasure to deal with. Always timely and courteous. Michael is on our short list of very trusted contractors. read more

MC Wood Works - IKEA kitchen cabinets and drawers looking like a custom closet built in - Cabinetry Near Me

We completely remodeled our home in 2020 and for our large kitchen, pantry and laundry room installed all new IKEA cabinets. It was a big project. MC Wood Works did an outstanding job and is truely one of the stand outs as to the various trades we used during the remodel. I echo all the 5 star reviews that you see for MC Wood Works. Michael is amazing and we enjoyed working with him. He has an attention to detail, strong work ethic and experience that will instantly put you at ease that you have hired the right company. Another standout for MC Wood Works is Olivia. Olivia handles all of the scheduling and keeps everything on schedule. There was complete transparency which was greatly appreciated and she was a pleasure to work with. One last thing. I fancy myself as an extreme DIYer and did a lot of the remodeling of our home. I thought about doing the IKEA cabinets myself but decided against it. I am so glad I decided to hire MC Wood Works. The kitchen remodel was a complete success and they played a big role in that success. We were so pleased that when it came time to install our baseboards throughout the house, we hired MC Wood Works and they of course did an outstanding job installing the base boards. I hope to work with Michael and team on another project soon. read more

This is a long overdue review - almost a year overdue! We commissioned MC Wood Works for a Semi Handmade IKEA installation in a rental property. This is an excellent family-owned company. Their team is wonderful and professional! We found MC Wood Works through the Semi Handmade website. They are one of their recommended installers. I contacted ALL the installers listed for Southern California (there were I think 7+ installers at that time), sent them my plans, and received quotes. Quotes were all over the place. MC wasn't the highest or the lowest. Olivia sent over the estimate, and answered all of my questions timely. She was really great to communicate with - so we opted to go with MC Wood Works based on gut feeling. Doing an IKEA kitchen during the early months of COVID is not for the faint of heart! There were long lead times, and delivery delays with IKEA. IKEA was closed at the time we were expecting the order to be delivered and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get replacement pieces if items were damaged or missing. I stayed in communication with Olivia updating her with our delivery delays. She was so calm, flexible, and accommodating during a time when there was a lot of stress. I felt confident that we would be able to get everything installed regardless of IKEA delays. Mike and Christian came to install the kitchen the day of. Ours was a little larger and took 2 full-days to install. Even though they were installing in an empty house - they kept the work space neat, tidy, and even cleaned the garage up after the first day. Super professional, trustworthy, and dependable. Mike is very experienced, and was in contact with me anytime there were questions. The end result was fantastic. The house was on the market for 4 days before being rented. I don't know if we'll be doing an IKEA kitchen again anytime soon, but I would have NO hesitations in hiring MC Wood Works to install the next one or any IKEA cabinetry. I wholeheartedly recommend Mike, Olivia, and their team to anyone who is looking to have someone install their IKEA cabinets! read more

As a Kitchen Designer in Southern California, I have to be picky as to who I recommend to my clients to get that detailed, finished carpentry look, installed. Michael has always done an amazing job. His skill level is like no-one else I've worked with. He's also the best problem solver when stock issues have become an issue. Michael's level of detail, and passion, to do a great job, and leave the client 110% satisfied, is impressive, and commendable. His pricing is more than fair, and with the follow through and scheduling from Olivia, this is a team that cannot be beat. Bravo! read more

The cabinet installation was the least stressful part of my kitchen remodel thanks to Mike and Olivia. Olivia handled all the communication and estimates. She was very quick to respond to all my emails and requests and she did so with kindness and patience which rare these days. Mike and his crew worked very efficiently and managed to make IKEA cabinets look custom with the finishing techniques they used. Due to errors on my part Mike had to come back 3 or 4 times to reinstall cabinets, but did so gladly and charged me a very fair price. This was my 3rd IKEA kitchen install with them. They are the best at what they do. read more

I wish I can give more than 5 stars they truly deserve my review. We are building a container house out in the middle of the desert. As you can imagine getting contractors to come to us is difficult. I explained our location and provided our IKEA kitchen design. Olivia was very pleasant and professional. She discussed the situation with Michael and we agreed on a price and install date. The Day before install I receive a confirmation and Michael and team showed up exactly on time. Michael reviewed the project made perfect suggestions and worked so fast, so clean, and didn't even look at IKEA directions. Ha. I am very handy and could have installed the cabinets myself however it would have taken me days what Michael did in a couple hours. Truly a master craftsman and a true professional. My hats off to the husband and wife team for doing it right, courteous, kind, competent and extremely professional. This was the best money spent while building my whole house. I would without a doubt highly recommend. Thank you read more

All the reviews are spot on! This is also my second time having Michael install IKEA cabinets in my condo. The first was thru his father's company, and he was the installer. I was amazed they were done in a day with an entire kitchen. Today Michael and crew came to install modified kitchen cabinets in my bathroom. Prior to our appointment, he was helpful and communicative (rare in a contractor, and a lack in communication from another installer made me seek out Michael). They showed up on time, were fastidious, and cleaned up every spec of dust. He even saved me a bit of money on supplies. And this took only half a day! Can't recommend Michael enough, and look forward to working with him again on the kitchen and other ideas. read more

Michael and Olivia and their crew are AMAZING. Our kitchen and pantry and laundry room were installed without a hitch. I even created a custom cabinet hutch using Ikea boxes and SemiHandmade fronts. Michael and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. They are so good at the installing that literally my Ikea and SemiHandmade cabinets look like custom cabinets. It's incredible to watch how they take hundreds of little boxes and pieces and so quickly and accurately create and install the cabinets. Olivia is fantastic in the office-always answering calls and emails promptly and Michael is so respectful and honest. I wish I had more to install bc I'd love to use Michael and his crew again. Such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. read more

I can't speak highly enough of MC Woodworks. Michael and Olivia are not only true professionals, they offer a level of customer service that is rare in the industry. Home renovations are stressful, but when it came to their portion of our project, everything was in order and done to perfection. We worked with them to install the island cabinetry in our kitchen, using IKEA and Semihandmade products. We had some hiccups and challenges along the way, but MC Woodworks took all the time we needed to answer questions and get our project done right. We're just now completing 75 days of a complete renovation and we've probably had 18 separate tradesmen in our house during that time. Some good and some bad. Michael and Olivia were the Best of all of them. My wife handled the communication with Olivia and said she wished that everyone in her day was as solid and friendly as Olivia. Michael has been around cabinet work for 26 years. He was 3 steps ahead of any potential problems before they occurred. Every time he asked me a question or raised a concern, he had a solution for it. They finished the job and it's better than we could have imagined. Michael is an absolutely elite level technician and expert at IKEA kitchens. He listens and addresses potential issues before they become roadblocks. We love our new IKEA kitchen because of Michael and Olivia and Marty!! read more

I'm not surprised that I see 5 stars on all of the recommendations for MC Wood Works. I recently remodeled my duplex and hired Michael to install the kitchens and bathrooms. My experience was exemplary in every way. But let me tell you exactly. Michael's professionalism was 5 stars, he showed up when he said he would; he was organized, thorough and tidy; he went beyond my expectations on the quality scale. And best of all, he showed up with such a positive attitude each day, smile on his face (and on his employee's face too) and with a sense of pride in his work. Michael is the epitome of a craftsman that takes pride in the artistry of his work and his personal presentation. I'm grateful to have stumbled on MC Wood Works.
