I contacted Able to cut 3 pieces of quartz for kitchen countertops. We agreed on a price; however, 30 minutes after I delivered the 2 slabs to his shop (Able was not there) I received a call from him raising the price 50%. Able claimed that I didn't tell him I had 2 slabs of quartz. I found this quite odd because I clearly specified in our original message that I needed 3 pieces cut at 88", 26" & 19". Quartz slabs for countertops are sold 110" length, which is too short for a 88" piece, a 26" piece and a 19" piece. I'm not sure why Able didn't do the math. I had no choice but to pay the increased cost because it was Friday noon and I was installing the countertops at my rental property on Saturday. The cuts were accurate and I don't have an issue with the work done; just the questionable business practice of price gouging. Able requested cash, for which I complied, but refused to give me a receipt for the work done; something I need for tax purposes. I assume my project was Friday night beer money, lol. My review of IES Granite is neutral; neither for or against. *** My rebuttal to Abel's response is regarding his business practice. When you quote the customer a price, you should stand by that price. I provided all the information upfront and was quoted $200. The additional $100 was added after the material was dropped off. It doesn't matter if it's $100 or $1000, honor your quote. read more

Attitude, workmanship, and quality by far the BEST! extremely professional team. My husband was detail and upfront with what we expected out of Abel. From certain cuts to sealing/finishing touches. (Yes my husband is anal for good reason) having kitchen countertops installed is expensive and for the cost we want it done RIGHT. and thankfully Abel and his team exceeded our expectations. I contacted IES for my kitchen and 2 bathrooms counter top project. I got a quick response from Abel within few minutes. I was able to choose the style through a link he sent me. He was able to give me the price estimate looking at the pictures of my kitchen and bathrooms and based on his fair price and the 5 star reviews I decided to hire him for the job. Next step we met at the slab yard which was so helpful as I could see the full size countertops vs small piece of sample that other contractors had provided me with.
