I'm going to preface this by saying you should call this business if you decide to order as the online ordering app is either wrong or not updated based on the day of the week because it told me 30 minutes and as you'll read it took way longer than that. I currently have a complaint into Eat 24 because the owner claimed I had to go through them and I'm not optimistic about anything coming of it. I ordered on Sunday evening at 5:59 via the online app. It didn't say anything about delays or longer waiting times on Sunday. Had it been a Friday night then I may have expected a longer wait. It said 30 minutes. So, we left around 6:20 and got there just after 6:30. The man at the counter told me they hadn't even started it yet but he could get it done in 15-20 minutes. So, we waited around and I returned at 6:54. The man from before clearly saw me waiting at the counter but ignored me. He had said before he was short staffed. Sorry, but that's not my problem as a customer. I waited and waited and my friend finally came in as he was sick of waiting in the car for me. At this point, another customer came in so the original guy was back at the register area and actually had to address us. He again said short staffed, give him a break and indicated he'd just started on it. This was after 7pm. We decided we wanted to cancel the order and get a refund. Of course, now it was almost done and we had to talk to the owner. We waited a few more minutes and the food was now done and the owner offered us 50% off but then couldn't do it since we ordered through the online app and he said we had to work it out with them. The food sucked. I knew it was going to suck because I think they rushed it. I was even wary of the shwarma because I was sure that meat wouldn't be cooked properly. We ordered a falafel meal, 2 falafel sandwiches and a beef shwarma coming to $28. All of it sucked. I think the falafel was missing half of the promised ingredients. I would have rather canceled entirely and gotten my money back because it was a waste. We couldn't even finish either sandwich because it just tasted wrong. Had the food been okay this would have been a 3 star review because things happen and you get delayed, however, I had poor customer service and then the food absolutely sucked. I'll never be back there and I definitely will warn others. It's a pity as we were excited to see this food offered so close by. read more

Horrible! I also encountered the rude owner when a mistake was make on my order. I never complain. I work in the industry amd understand mistakes happen. But taking over an hour to complete my order, shouting and hanging up on a customer is no way to remedy a problem. I will never order from here again and advise you don't either. amore's is literally the thing i miss the most about living in stoneham. More than once I've driven all the way over there - passing who knows how many other pizza/take out places along the way - just for their fried chicken and fries. the best comfort food. place is always clean, and the staff is crazy friendly. love and miss amore's all the time. read more

Best pizza/sub shop in the Stoneham area, and I've basically tried them all. I buy the chicken kabob dinner regularly and it is delicious, plus they give you a very good portion for the price. I have tried the Pizza and I think the crust is nicely cooked not that soggy wimpy type. The Chicken Kabob is good it comes with Hummus and Salad. The Salad dressing is really good. The Chicken finger dinner is also a great dish. The place is clean and I have seen the owner/cook was his hands after using the cash register before making food. This is a Major plus. I would like to add the staff is always very Kind. I don't live in stoneham but if I did this would be on the top of my list. read more

I recently ordered a White Pizza which comes with "fresh garlic, mozzarella, spinach, and fresh tomatoes." Sounds pretty tasty, but let this be a warning - the spinach is frozen and it is basically rung out then dropped in big globs on top of the pizza and then served. I'm not sure if it is ever actually cooked/baked with the pizza, because when I bit into it, the spinach was cold but the crust was warm. Yuck!! My girlfriend and I stopped in for sandwiches the other day and this place was the perfect spot. The inside is really clean, the people behind the counter are personable and super helpful, and the sandwiches were perfect (got the tuscan chicken and turkey & cheese sub). Amore used to be Metro Pizza. The pizza is average. The sauce on the pie is sweet which I prefer a more salt taste. Their meatball sub is pretty good. Amore is very convenient. Food is delicious every time and the staff are the friendliest people. Once ordered an eggplant calzone and was called by the manager afterward apologizing for the lack of eggplant in my calzone (there was more than enough) and made a note to give me a free calzone next order. This evening my family and I ordered delivery from Amore in Stoneham. Not even one of the four items was preferred by any of us. Delivery took over an hour and we live right up the street. -Gardenia Pizza: Crusted eggplant is a family favorite but not on this pizza. By the time this dish reached us the eggplant was oily/ soggy. The sauce was watered down which made the crust soggy and the cheese was very generic. -Mozzarella Sticks: The mozzarella sticks were fried in a soda based batter which made this appetizer not so appealing and made you hate your self after having even one. -Peperoni Cheesy Bread: this product shouldn't be on the menu at all. The bread was stale, cheese and peperoni was not pleasant at all. - Cesar Salad: The house dressing is pretty much just olive oil, cream and salt. The chicken was over cooked, over seasoned, and just plain nasty. The croutons were heavily drenched in butter and stale. Needless to say, we will never order from Amore again. The price paid for what we got was not ideal and I regret spending my money on a business that obviously does not believe in quality food. Small business' should focus more on the quality of the product presented but I've had better food from a corporate chain restaurant... sad. read more

I am a regular at Amore. Quite often have lunch at Amore 2 or 3 times a week. Cheese Burgers are out of this world. I call it having a "Cheeseburger is Paradise". We stopped here after leaving the Stone Zoo. We ordered a traditional pizza and a specialty pizza that split two varieties. The crust wasn't too thick, too doughy or overdone. It was just right. The buffalo chicken pizza has the blue cheese dressing on the side, so people can add it as needed. The Chicken Alfredo pizza is unique, and tasted great! We chose the grilled chicken, but we could have added breaded chicken instead. The ingredients were really fresh and the pricing was very reasonable. We would make this our regular pizza place if only it wasn't several hours away. We are looking forward to our next visit. read more

The food is terrible but at least it is way overpriced. The only reason to order a sub from here is to punish someone. The steak and cheese tasted like dried dirt and the portion was tiny. Love it here - The owner Joe is a great guy always making sure his customers are happy. My office orders from here and we never have any complaints. The meat almore dinner with hummus and rice is my favorite. I loved finding a take out restaurant that had hummus and even better the hummus is awesome! We've ordered the pizza and calzones many times and are always satisfied. Steak tips are also delicious!!! Salads are really good and they have a salad meal card where if you buy like 6 or 7 salads get the next free. We love this idea because we do order salads often. 1st the menu board prices are not accurate, I ordered a small ham & cheese(asked for swiss so guessing a piece of swiss is a $1 more) with nothing on it but didn't think they were listening and I was right, got home and checked and was right, swimming in mayonnaise(allergic to it), tomatoes & brown lettuce needless to say it all went in trash not willing to chance it. also ordered small chicken wings they were ok but very small. Alright its somewhat a long story but Ill leave a TL;DR at the bottom. So Tuesday I was working with my working companion and we where in Boston traveling up to Wakefield. When my companion looked out the side of my window and saw a restaurant in Somerville with a big picture of food outside its establishment. It was a Middle Eastern restaurant showing shawarma spits, Falafel, and shawarma with all the fixings on a pita bread, (I myself never had a Falafel and or a shawarma but knew what it looked like.) My Driver asked what is that I said it was a Falafel, and shawarma and pointed which was which, she heard of it but never had the chance to try it herself and now wanted to try it. Unfortunately we were working and did not have time to stop and eat but she asked me to search online for one close to our stop. So I asked google, "where is there a place that sells shawarma and falafel and low and behold Amore Pizza pops up on the map. I thought it was weird because an Italian pizzeria selling shawarma and falafel. I thought maybe I typed it wrong but low and behold Amore Pizza Shows up again. So I was like alright lets go and take a look. I get their and I see a man eating a small pizza in a booth near the cash register I catch him mid way eating a big bite and I asked him, "Do you guys sell Shawarmas?" And the Guy nodded and was trying to swallow the big bite while pointing up on the menu, and I was like "YES!" "But we are all out." he said. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" I said in disbelief and sadness. The guy started laughing, "No Im kidding we have them but the look on you face was priceless." Turns out the guy was the owner of the place. So we talked a little I explained the story and how my companion and I wanted to try Shawarmas and or falafel. And that I didnt think that his place sold any and that we were traveling since Boston to find a place to eat and he said I heard that time and time again on how no one could not believe his place sells Mediterranean Food. As he said to me, "If he has not tried it he does not sell it." But he asked me which Shawarma I wanted. Never having tried any I asked can I have 1 chicken and 1 beef and..." He cuts me off, " split it in half so you and your work mate can try both?" I was like, "YEAH". "Not a Problem I got this taken care of for you" he said. I can say without a Doubt it was the most delicious Shwarma I had ever had. And my work mate thought the same. The owner showed that all his food is made from scratch and he makes some of it from home. I plan on coming back to try other foods he has to offer. TL;DR This pizza joint sells SHWARMAS and FALAFELS and mediterranean food and it was delicious. Highly recommend! read more

Being a pizza lover, and living in Stoneham for a few years.. I've tried every pizza establishment in town. Amore is by far the best. I'm not a fan of thick pizza, so the fact that Amore's style is thin makes it a winner in my book. But it's not just that. It's important to know that the owner is exceptionally passionate about his food, and it shows. Every pizza is exactly the same. Unbelievably tasty! Online ordering is easy too.
