The brunch menu

I have been wanting to try this place and today was the day! I was very excited to try the mazapan latte, which was very good. For food, my boyfriend and I both got chilaquiles with barbacoa! It was the perfect portion size and great flavor. We were both happy with our meals! The space itself is more spacious than you'd expect and they do move people in pretty quickly. We waited a bit for a table, but nothing major. Service was friendly and efficient enough. It was a cute spot and we will definitely come back!

Amor a mi... what a lovely place in the middle of Burbank! Lovelovelovelovelove! I've been at Amor A Mi a few times for lunch and being gluten free I was afraid they couldn't accommodate but my plate came out not only looking beautiful but gluten free with a black corn tortilla that was delicious! I am so appreciative. I do wish they had gf bread and maybe yellow polenta but I'm thrilled to be able to eat here. Every sauce has its own unique flavor, and every item feels like it's been prepared carefully and thoughtfully. I feel like this chef had watched a The Bear a few times. :)

Came for brunch since a friend suggested it and it was good. Ordered the breakfast sandwich & the bacon look really undercooked, otherwise it was good. Ordered the cold brew with Pablo santo syrup (?) definitely an interesting place to try if you're in the area.

Ambience- perfect! It's so lovely here. It's such a warm and inviting space if you want to bring a friend or friends while yet still being peaceful enough to come by yourself and enjoy a quiet rose latte! I've had their rose latte a bunch. It's very good. I highly recommend it. I also had the tortitas de papa. I've never had this dish before but like the description and it was delicious. I'd get it again. Service was friendly and familial but in a familial-professional way. This is a gem of a find and I look forward to spending more of my money here.

Remarkable ambiance that adds to the dining experience. Perfect for date night, initiate dining, and family style eating. Amor A Mi is almost a hole in the wall for its delicious chilaquiles and Mexican brunch. I loved their matcha and coffee varieties, I'll have to come back to try the rest of their drink menu. I got the French toast and the brioche was exquisite! The strawberries and mascarpone were perfect touches to the meal. The staff were kind and just lovely. Highly recommend !

This beautiful restaurant is a gem! The decor is fabulous. There is so much attention to detail. Great for any occasion, but I came for breakfast. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. We had the chicken Chilaquiles and the steak and barbacoa tacos. Both were fabulous! I can't wait to come back and try different dishes. The parking is street parking.

What a cozy and delicious meal! Came here for brunch on a Sunday. Everything was top tier from the latte to the french toast to the chilaquiles! Highly recommend both but if you're feeling something sweet go for the french toast and if you want savory go for the chilaquiles. The were perfectly crispy! Would absolutely recommend this place for a date, for a brunch with the girlies, you name it! There is a bar, some tables inside and two tables outside. Pro tip: this place gets hella busy but they do reservations - yay! So make sure to get one for the weekend! Parking was easy as I parked in one of the neighborhood streets nearby. It was two hour parking.

Not worth the 30 min wait to get our food. Decent breakfast sandwich & okay French toast. My family really liked their rib eye and barbacoa tacos but I would not come back again; their menu is super limited & service takes too long even when they're not busy. Overhyped in my opinion.

This was a great experience for comfort mexican food with modern twist! Service was excellent, kind friendly staff, and beautiful modern yet comfortable warm ambiance. Tacos: Huitlacoche - the kernels were good but mixed in with sweet corn was too sweet. I tasted more sweet corn than mushroom or huitlacoche, beans were good! Not spicy, could use a spicy salsa Chicharrón - excellent Shrimp - fresh, but too much cream sauce! The taco fell apart, more fresh condiments like cilantro and onions would have been nice vs so much sauce Barbacoa - it was good, but needed lemon, cilantro and onions! Birria especially goat or lamb is best served with fresh squeezed lemon and fresh condiments on the side for the palette's desire. Salsas and chips - fresh chips! Green salsa was good, red salsa had a flavor we couldn't pinpoint, canned chipotle maybe? Not our favorite. Tlayuda - not traditional, but the crunchy cheese layer was fun! We enjoyed it and would order one more for the table next time. Excellent and fresh Homemade Flour tortilla - yum! Homemade Corn Tortilla - a little dry, not too flavorful. Hopes for the future: I wish there could be a green salad, fish option, or other unique veggie sides like nopales, verdolagas, or mushrooms en chile that Mexican cuisine has to offer! Either way looking forward to trying lunch menu

I want to start this review off by saying that the food tasted great. No issues there. The inside was also very nice. I loved the vibe. However, there were a few things that outshined the taste of the food. To start, our food was COLD. We had already waited about 20ish minutes. Honestly can't recall but enough time had passed by and we were just hungry. We drove in for business from the IE and had other things to do so we couldn't wait to have it be remade. But from the tortilla, the meat, and the beans it was cold. The only thing hot was the egg on top and so that makes me wonder how fresh everything was. Oh and the description of the plate says it comes with beans but tbh it's just a smear under everything. We ate what we could until the entire plate was too cold to enjoy. The agua de Jamaica was intense. I had to add water to balance out how strong it was. But once I added more water it was nice. What's funny about my Jamaica is that when I was served it our server literally said "here" and handed it to me. Which was funny to us because that's never happened to us anywhere. Usually you get a kinder approach like "here is that Jamaica" not just "here". And with that, the service was mediocre. It wasn't genuine or authentic. Which is kind of sad given the prices of the food and how upscale it is. You kind of expect a more authentic and overall amicable experience. But it wasn't. I felt like a person there to give them my money which is true but I never felt like a welcomed customer. A one time of visit for us for sure.

What an excellent experience we had and I cant wait to go back. Love the vibe of the restaurant with the decor and enjoyed sitting at the bar. The staff was very friendly and quick to help us with what we needed and the food was delicious. I would suggest to get sauce on the side if you dont like your food spicy. Thei cappucino and Cortado was also delicious.

Once again I saw this restaurant on my socials and I definitely had to stop in and try it for myself. I was not disappointed whatsoever. I was greeted with smile and a warm welcome. Very refreshing these days. The restaurant is very clean from the dining room to the restrooms.. The staff was so kind ,accommodating and very attentive. The variety of food is nice. The service was quick. The food was served at the right temperature. Everything ordered tasted fresh and delicious. I had a great experience overall. The pricing and the portions are reasonable. I will definitely come back again.

I was in Burbank and wanted some breakfast that wasn't right next to the mall, this was the perfect spot! It was pretty busy so without a reservation we waited about 25 mins for a table of 2. I got the breakfast sandwich without chimichurri and it was absolutely delicious! It had thick cut bacon and lots of avocado. I also got a Mexican coke and it was just the perfect meal. There's a good amount of seating inside but the place isn't huge, very cute and cozy. There's also two tables out on their patio for dining as well, making it dog friendly!

When I turned the corner into the street next to the restaurant I easily found street parking, just keep an eye on the street signs so you park during appropriate times. We were seated outside which was perfect weather and it was great the tables could be pushed together to accommodate as many people as would arrive (our group fit in 4 tables pushed together). To start, the bean dip and salsa! That bean dip is so delicious and spicy! If you told me they were sold out and all I could eat is chips and bean dip I would have been a happy girl and just sat there eating the bean dip! Yummm! For the main course I went with the Steak Tostada Salad and it did not disappoint! The tostada was fluffy and crunchy, and the inside was filled to the brim and had nice thick pieces of steak on top! I did not feel an ounce of guilt as I gobbled down the whole thing and I even splashed some of that bean dip onto the top for good measure! In looking around at everyone's plates everyone's food looked amazing with very very generous portions. The waiters were very attentive to our group coming around frequently keeping our waters full and refilling cocktails for anyone who had ordered one. I definitely recommend Los Amigos Bar & Grill for a very delicious and authentic experience!

The parking appears to be full since the lot is on the smaller size, but luckily you can park on the street a bit further down if you don't mind the short walk. When we walked in, we were simply told to sit where we wanted. Inside, the service was efficient but lacked any warmth. Our waiter got our food out quickly and seemed friendly enough with the regulars, but he was a bit indifferent to us. As for the meal, I found the steak picado tasty enough and seasoned well, but my wife found the chicken fajitas to be incredibly plain and lacking flavor. She only ate about 1/3 of her plate because of it. Unfortunately, between the tight parking, the distant service, and the hit-or-miss food, this is just not a place we plan to return to anytime soon.

Food was beyond sub par you can make the food at home and would taste better! Save your money. Everything we had from two orders of "taquitos", "esquite", quesadillas and a blood orange mojito. The only thing with a bit of flavor was the esquite, but again to pay for roasted corn on the cob with just mayo and cheese? For $13 ? NEVER AGAIN. I have a problem with the way they name their items which is a bit misleading. For example, they have an item called taquitos, meaning you would expect a rolled fried taquitos. What came was tacos dorados so why is it named taquitos? They DID write on the menu that it's fried tacos..but again why are they not just calling it TACOS DORADOS? Same with esquite typically esquites are corn off the cob but this was on the COBB and yes it was described on the menu as on the Cobb but again why not call it ELOTE instead of esquite. Clearly this is semantics but just frustrating. If you want authentic Mexican food there is a Don Cuco's around the block that is WAY better than this place. They are at a different tier than this Kalavera's location. If you're a drinker perhaps that would make the food taste better...so disappointed and a waste of money!

We waited about 45 minutes for a table, which honestly wasn't a problem at all. They're located in a plaza with parking, and there's also plenty of street parking nearby. First, let's talk about the Café de Olla. We ordered two, and WOW. It's their signature coffee, brewed with cinnamon, raw Mexican brown sugar, and spices. We normally drink our coffee black, but this was easily one of the best coffees I've ever had. Seriously, do not skip the coffee here! For breakfast, we ordered two dishes and shared everything. We had the Breakfast Skillet, loaded with country potatoes, eggs, bell peppers, mozzarella, fresh avocado, and ranchero sauce. We also ordered the Chilaquiles à la Bandera -- crispy tortilla chips with half tossed in their green salsa and the other half in red salsa, topped with mozzarella, Mexican cream, Cotija cheese, and eggs. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. And because we needed something sweet, we added the Crunchy French Toast Sticks, drizzled with caramel and Lechera. SO GOOD and the perfect sweet addition to our breakfast. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! The service deserves its own mention. Our server, Liliana, was an absolute doll! She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She helped us decide what to order based on her own favorites and recommendations, and everything she suggested was spot on. Our Café de Olla came out within probably a minute of ordering, and once we placed our food order, I don't think we waited more than five minutes. Considering how packed the restaurant was, we were seriously impressed. Liliana definitely made our first visit even better! Everything was perfect -- the food, the coffee, and especially the service. Definitely recommend Mex Cocina Cafe for breakfast or brunch. We will 100% be back. In fact, we already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
